American Eagle Sale Haul

Yeah… so now you know why I don’t take photos of the clothes I haul (‘cuz as you can clearly see, I’m terrible at it), and instead, use the official photos they have up on the official website. As I’ve said before, the lighting is atrocious in my apartment (I insisted on “dimmers”). I need to get them replaced, but I keep putting it off (no time, ok?) Anyways, I couldn’t find any of the clothes online so I decided to take pics of them (with my phone, no less) for this post.

I was traipsing around the Avenues when I saw the huge “Sale” sign at American Eagle and popped in for a quick look. All the Tops were either cropped or see-through (basically unwearable, for me) and the Bottoms were the opposite, too long and heavy. I wasn’t tempted to try anything on, up until I spotted this really cool Skirt! I snatched a couple of potentially wearable Tops to try on as well (since I was gonna’ be in the changing room anyway) and ended up purchasing all 3 Tops and the Skirt on sale for exactly KD 15.

Co Lab Tropical Dry Shampoo (Boots)

Tropical: Sunset Sweet, Papaya and Pineapple Scent

I took a pic of the entire range – or at least the ones that made it to Kuwait – in my “Spotted at Boots” post (here). Like I said, initially, I was drawn to Fruity because of the adorable packaging but ended up going with Tropical based on the scent. I wish we’d gotten the fun ones too, like Galactic and Unicorn, but hey, beggars can’t be choosers and I’m so glad we even got these in Kuwait at all!

I Am Tiny Haul

I Am is literally located wall-to-wall with Claire’s, facing Carrefour on one end, and Bath & Body Works on the other end (Avenues). I spotted some of those huge fluffy scarves by the entrance and decided to pop in for a looksy. I didn’t end up getting any scarves, but after a quick lap around the store, I picked up yet another Black Headband (it’s an addiction, I tell ya’) and a stack of colorful Rings!

I Am sells all kinds of accessories at an extremely affordable price point! More people should shop there!

Spotted at Boots (November)

They were having a Buy 2 Get 2 Free over at Boots (the one facing Carrefour at the Avenues) so I decided to pop in and check it out.

Forever 21 Haul (October)

I parked my car outside Forever 21 to get to H&M so I could exchange the H&M White V-Neck Frilled Blouse (haulage here) for a smaller size. I was only passing through F21 when I saw some stunning Blue Tweed Lace-Up Platform Boots (they had metallic thread running through them that sparkled so beautifully) and these gorgeous White Pointed Toe Ankle Booties. Realistically speaking, I doubt I’d feel comfy wearing the Blue Tweed Lace-Ups out in public (they were a bit extra), but I had to try on those White Booties! One thing led to another and I ended up getting 2 Red Tops (one from the men’s section and one from the women’s section) and 1 Blue Crossbody Bag and even a colorful Lilac/Pink Ombre Wig (don’t ask), in addition to those White Booties! The total for everything I got was only KD 39. Out of all my hauls, I think this one was hands down the cutest!

H&M Beauty Haul

I popped into H&M for a quick peek (since I was at the Avenues anyways) and noticed that they were having a Buy Two Get One Free Deal going on. Plus, with every KD 10 purchase you got an entry into the KD 10,000 raffle. I didn’t feel like trying on any clothes or even swatching stuff (so I wasn’t planning on getting anything) but then I spotted the Face Mask Collection (x3 Face Masks) and one thing led to another… and here we are.

Sephora Mini Haulage

Sephora got a whole bunch of NEW MAKEUP BRANDS!!!! Well, new to Kuwait, at least. In fact, I could only get my hands on them (in the past) by ordering online, and even then not all the brands were easily accessible. During my visit to Sephora, I noticed that they had Anastasia (which I used to order from Beauty.com back in 2007 before all the hype) and Tarte (also ordered from Beauty.com only much later, around the time when they first introduced the Amazonian Clay Blush) and Becca (never owned anything from this brand before, but I’ve been dying to try the Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid Highlighters) and Kat Von D (never got a chance to order anything from this brand before either, but apparently everyone loves their Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks), just to name a few. They also sectioned off a whole area focused on skincare with the usual brands, some newer brands, and brands I’ve never even heard of before. Just before the cash register, they had an entire shelf dedicated to Face Masks and Scrubs (namely GlamGlow but there were some other brands including Peter Thomas Roth and Starskin). Best of all, when you queue in line at the check-out counter, instead of it being a straight line, it’s now more of a zigzag, with shelves on either side, chock-full of travel-sized minis of their most-loved and best-selling products!

I got a really cool Makeup Brush from Becca, and one of the Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks from Kat Von D in an absolutely stunning shade, but while waiting my turn at the new zigzag-y queue, couldn’t resist snatching up yet another travel-sized GlamGlow product. As intended, the zigzag-y queue is meant to sucker us into buying even more products before we leave Sephora. Myself as well as others will probably fall victim to the adorable travel-sized minis at the zigzag-y queue, many times over. So… kudos, Sephora, for your ploy has succeeded!
