How stinkin’ cuuuuuuute!
Excuse the boxes, ‘cuz I’m in the process of moving into the guest room, while I finally get furniture and curtains and other things normal humans have in their homes. Basically, the place is pretty much a mess. Dang reflective packaging…
Anyways, I popped by Sephora a few weeks ago, when they were frantically stashing everything away (to make room for “Black Friday”), just to take a quick peek and ended up falling for this lil cutie!
Before my nieces and nephew moved back to their home for the start of the school year, I took them shopping for clothes and things like that at The Avenues.
New Look Black Box Zip Front Metal Trim Backpack
This was the Backpack I mentioned in My Story: Handbags post (dis).
I got this Box Backpack I wanna’ say about 4 years ago from New Look (top floor at The Avenues, but they either closed down that branch, or moved it to another location, since then), back when Backpacks were trending or starting to trend.
This was the H&M Over-Sized Ombre Tote Bag I mentioned in My Story: Handbags post (dis). I mistakenly said that it was a White to Coral gradient, but it was actually more of an Off-White (Ecru?) or Beige rather.
I was shopping at The Avenues with a friend and despite the fact that we were both grown women (nearing or possibly already in our 30’s, at the time), we both decided it’d be cute to buy matching stuff…
We picked up matching Neon Pink Windbreakers from American Eagle and a bunch of other stuff from other stores, including these Ombre Tote Bags from H&M.
Prior to the H&M Ombre Tote Bag, my “go-to Beach Bag” was the M&S Twiggy Tote Bag (dis). I alternated between the two Tote Bags, even taking both with me while traveling abroad, but over time, began to favor the H&M Ombre Tote Bag slightly more.
This was one of the Top Handle Bags I’d mentioned in My Story: Handbags (dis).
Believe it or not, I got this baby as a “Gift with Purchase” from our local Sephora! I wanna’ say it was around October 2009 or 2010 (I vaguely remember the date, because it was the first and last time I ever had Lash Extensions put in, for an out-of-country/state Wedding). Point is, this was back when Sephora first opened up in Kuwait and used to have all kinds of sweet deals and promos and awesome gifts with purchase, not the trash they hand out now.
As I mentioned earlier (dis) Bath & Body Works were having a “Buy 2, Get 3 Free” promo going on, at the beginning of August.
Between the “Buy 3, Get 3 Free” promo over at Boots (dis) and the “Buy 2, Get 3 Free” promo over at B&BW, I wasn’t sure what was going on (is this even Kuwait?), but I strongly approved! Since I’d just recently decluttered my bathroom (dis), I figured I had room for some new clutter (logic!)
– Umberto Giannini “Mermaid Hair” Volume Mousse
– Soap&Glory “Junk The Gunk” Deep Cleansing Shampoo
– Umberto Giannini “Beach Care” Coconut Oil Conditioner
– Umberto Giannini “Pool Proof” Leave-In Hair Protection Cream
– Soap&Glory “Control Sleek” Heat-Activated Smoothing Cream
– Charles Worthington Volume & Bounce Express Blow Dry Primer
Boots (Avenues) had a “Buy 3, Get 3 Free” promo going on, around the beginning of August. Since my latest obsession seems to be Hair Care, I decided to take advantage of that opportunity and snag some things from the new “Beach Collection” from Umberto Giannini. I also got some stuff from the all new Hair Care Range from Soap&Glory and just the one thing from Charles Worthington.
I didn’t do any “research” beforehand and just grabbed stuff based on the cutesy packaging and fun names, and what they claimed to do. As such, I found some of them kinda’ disappointing. That said, I’m not about to open up all of them in one go (not that crazy) so I’ve only gotten around to using 3 out of the 6, for now.
I’d been meaning to hit up Carrefour (Avenues) to repurchase the Essence Lash Princess Sculpted Volume Mascara. Plus, our driver couldn’t find my beloved Torabika Cappuccino Instant Coffee in any of the local cooperatives. Plus, my older brother wanted me to pick up some Beef Jerky for him. Plus, my younger brother wanted me to pick up some Americana Mini Croissants to take to work with him (for his coworkers). Plus, the last time I’d popped in to Carrefour was back in January (dis) so it’s been a minute.
Despite my previous Sephora Haulage (here), I only qualified for the Brand Gift after I had purchased the Too Faced Chocolate Bar (KD 21/000) as a Birthday Gift for someone. The Brand Gift I received this time was the Tarte Pamper Me Pretty Color Collection which I’d spotted much earlier at Sephora (here).
I figured I should chill on the whole Perfume thing and focus on something more practical (i.e. clothes) instead. That said, I actually wasn’t even planning on buying any new clothes, but while exchanging the stuff at H&M (here) which happened to be right across from Zara, I noticed those covet-worthy Shirt Dresses in all kinds of different prints! I was instantly entranced by their siren call and before I knew it, I was walking right in to Zara, who as luck would have it, were apparently having a Sale! One thing led to another and here we are.
As you can see, I kinda’ went ham and overdid it with the whole Chain Print thing, but managed to snag a few Animal Print pieces while I was at it. I ended up purchasing 5 Dresses (x2 of the Snake Print) and 3 Trousers/Pants and 5 Shirts (x3 of the Blouse-y Shirt) and 2 Leggings and 2 Scarves and a Camisole (previously purchased here) and a Cap. Instead of paying KD 245/200 I ended up paying KD 106/200 because everything I’d purchased (other than the Scarves and Cami) was on Sale!
