These Hand Soaps were from my U.S. B&BW Spring Haul (here).
Typically, Hand Soaps retail for $6.50 but these babies had been reduced to $3 each.
These are the Shower Gels I purchased on New Year’s (here).
I’d fallen in love with Little Black Party Dress (so sexy!) and Snowy Morning (so fresh!) and Coconut Lime Breeze (Skittles!) all purchased in My 2nd U.S. B&BW Haul (here) and definitely needed to repurchase them not only as Shower Gels, but also as Body Lotions and Fragrance Mists!
Sadly, once the prices got slashed, they went out of stock pretty quick. I’m sooo happy I managed to get a back-up of Little Black Party Dress and Coconut Lime Breeze as Shower Gels though ^_^
The rest were all new to me, granted I had seen Under Water Oasis in our local stores back in Summer.
Apple Blossom and Black Amethyst and Night Blooming Jasmine were clearly florals. Honestly, I thought they were all new because the U.S. B&BW tend to roll out the Spring/Summer Collections 2-4 months in advance, but apparently the latter two were “retired fragrances” that had been brought back for the semi-annual sale.
Rose Water Meringue and Pink Velvet Cupcake appeared to be gourmands from more recent collections, in addition to Christmas Cookies.
Mineral (Men’s Collection) and Under Water Oasis were some nice freshies, to round everything out.
They all arrived sealed ♥
As I said, the U.S. Bath & Body Works Online Store had some pretty good deals all throughout December! They were releasing new products and new deals pretty much on the daily!
The deals at the time of this order:
– Hand Soaps were reduced from $6.50 to $3
– Wallflower Fragrances Duos (2pc) were 3 for $27 (normally $12.50 each)
– Wallflower Fragrances (singles) were 5 for $23 (normally $7.50 each)
– Use code SANTA for 20% Off Entire Order
I decided to pick up a few Wallflower Fragrances and Hand Soaps.
Wallflower Fragrances make my home smell ah-mazing and they were on sale! Win, win.
Hand Soaps tend to smell great too and they were on sale as well ergo good time to stock up!
I’ve been dying to purchase from Demeter since forever!
I posted about Demeter in my previous post (dis). I couldn’t decide on what to get… so I went crazy… and purchased x35 different scents (at $3.40 each) making my order total $119. To be fair, I got them in the sampler size, thinking they’d be the size of actual samples that you typically get as a freebie. I didn’t know they’d be this big lol
Some of these scents had very, very long descriptions. Instead of copy-pasting the entire thing, I decided to just add a “short” description from the site and link each scent to the description page (just click on the title of any scent) and add my first impressions directly underneath.
I tried to group the scents into drink scents, food-y scents, herbal-y scents and abstract scents, but gave up towards the end lol Also, I found a ton of dupes!
– Siberian Pine Diffuser Oil (free gift with purchase)
– Pomander Roll On Perfume Oil (free gift with purchase)

Towards the end of June, Nordstrom came out with x2 more Sample Packs. One, was a mix of Makeup and Skincare (dis), which wasn’t particularly exciting. The other, was this Fragrance Sample Pack, which was very enticing!
For starters, it came with a sample of Mugler Angel Eau Croisière which I was dying to sniff! The pack also included several flankers of well-loved gourmands, Prada Candy and CH Good Girl and V&R Flowerbomb and YSL Black Opium and YSL Mon Paris! I was pretty excited about the samples from Atelier Cologne and Diptyque and Replica and my beloved Kilian as well! Also, most of these were new-new!
In hindsight though, I totally should’ve skipped the Fragrance Sample Pack (June) because it was mostly either floral-y florals (yuck) or overly sharp and citrus-y scents (namely Peach, ugh).

Nordstrom were having yet another Scent Event and giving away x2 Fragrance Sample Packs (your choice of Yellow or Pink, each with different fragrance samples) during the month of April. I’ll list everything included in both packs below. Both packs included several items that I already own, but as you can see, I decided to go with the Yellow mainly because the adorable, itty-bitty Yellow Cosmetics Bag looked more appealing to me lol I’ll also be listing all the notes below (if I can find them) for everything that came with the Yellow Pack. Lastly, since I spent well over $100 I also qualified for the “bonus” gift which was a Nest Grapefruit Reed Diffuser!
Seeing as how popular my previous Zara Perfume posts were (Cashmere Rose is almost always listed in the Top 10 Posts in the side-bar), I picked up a total of x19 Zara Fragrances for around KD 120 to review (but also because I’m kinda’ obsessed with fragrances now and also because I was hoping to find some “hidden gems”). For starters, just like their clothing, Zara regularly comes out with a lot of excellent duplicates or “dupes” of best-selling high-end and designer perfumes.
That said, keep in mind, as with most cheap-y fragrances with a high alcohol content, these do not last as long. As such, most of them were pretty inexpensive (the lowest ranging from KD 4/900 and the highest ranging to KD 10/900)! I’d also like to point out that although certain fragrances might still have the same name, Zara tends to reformulate them (completely switching up the scent) and change the packaging, from year to year. Lastly, these are just my “first impressions” and my opinion is subject to change (so please don’t be offended if you happen to love a certain scent and I don’t).
So my obsession with Perfumes was at its peak. However, I didn’t want to purchase them locally because they’d be more expensive and I wouldn’t receive anything else with them (as a gift with purchase or loyalty points or whatever else) no matter how extortionate the price was, and and I wouldn’t know if I was getting an older batch (potentially expired) and worst of all, I wouldn’t know if they were fake or not, but mostly I was anxious about purchasing locally because of this (Perfume Fail). If I bought them online, they’d be new, less expensive and more often than not, I’d receive a gift with purchase or samples or something. However, I wouldn’t be able to give them a sniff beforehand, and based on previous experience, I’m not really the luckiest when it comes to blind-buys.
Even though I’d love to, I couldn’t sign up for those monthly subscription boxes (such as Scentbird and the like) because the cost of shipping to Kuwait via Aramex, would add up to something ridiculous. In comes MyPerfumeSamples.com which was exactly what it sounded like! You pick out the scents that you wanted and the sizes that you preferred (with the pricing varying from scent to scent) and they’d ship them over. Up on the website, each scent had the fragrance notes and the year it was released and so on, listed next to it. I purchased a handful, in varied sizes.
– Sample Vials: smallest size and cheapest, comes with a dip-stick applicator (I only got 1)
– Pocket Sprays: bit bigger, comes with a spray mechanism and a cap (I got 5)
– Travel Sprays: substantially larger, comes with a spray mechanism and a cap, wider spread (I purchased 6 but only 5 arrived)
Each sample came in a plastic sachet of it’s own, with the name of the scent printed on the actual sample (so handy!) and they were all packed together in a bubble-wrapped package within a package. Since looking at plain samples can get boring, I decided to add photos of the actual perfume bottles as well. Now on to the Perfumes (samples) that I’d ordered…
