H&M Buy 3 Get 1 Free Eyeshadow Haul

Towards the end of September, I picked up 4 Eyeshadows or Infinite Impact Eye Colours from H&M (Avenues). I’d just finished having an early dinner with some friends, and had some time to kill (after we parted ways). So, I managed to swatch all the eyeshadow singles, at H&M (in that little “beauty section area” that used to have kid’s clothes before they renovated the place). Worthy of note, the Avenues branch had a much wider selection than the Salmiya branch. However, I did notice that the “makeup-stuff area” was already looking pretty ratchet (as evident by the state of the eyeshadow boxes, as shown). Also, the “mattes” and “glitters” were a bit chalky and less pigmented than the rest. I fell in love with 2 eyeshadows, but they were having a Buy 3 Get 1 Free Deal (as stated in the title of this post), which is why, I picked out 2 more (clearly can’t resist a “deal”). That said, these retail for only KD 3/500 each, making them super affordable, even without said “deal”. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much, since these were so cheap wallet-friendly, but I was veritably blown away! The application was a dream (went on like buttah)! Wear-time was pretty great too! The shades I chose were stun-ning! Excellent quality over all!

I’m so in love with each and every single shade that I’d picked out!

Celebrity Big Brother Season 21 Finale

This season of Celebrity Big Brother was… interesting. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for the mix of people they chose to participate. The men in particular were quite dull. For the most part, the housemates got along pretty well with each other… which was boring. Thankfully, Ann livened things up with her constant disapproval (so funny). You can check out my first impressions of the ladies (here) and the men (here) as well as my predictions (a lot of which actually came true). I really adored several people, this season (Amanda, Rachel, Maggie, Jess, Wayne, Jonny, Shane L, Shane J / Courtney, and even Ann)! Equally, there were several people I could not stand, this season (India, Daniel, Ginuwine, Malika, Andrew, and John). Whereas Ashley, I was indifferent about. That said, I can’t wait for the civilian version of Big Brother (which starts in Summer) because it lasts longer and is way more entertaining since younger housemates equals more drama (especially after being cooped up in the CBB House for so long).

The Sultan Center Snackage Haul

I was actually at the Homeware section at Debenhams (top floor) to pick up a few Rose Gold Picture Frames for my adorable sister-in-law (my younger brother’s wife). They were going with a specific theme for their Living Room and I was planning on surprising them (well, her, mostly, ‘cuz guys kinda’ aren’t as interested in that kinda’ stuff) with the Photo Frames, later on. I was also starving because I didn’t get a chance to eat earlier. Plus, it was that time of the month, so I was craving some chocolate (which I normally can’t stand). So I grabbed a few snacks and some random items, from The Sultan Center (all the way at the opposite end of Soug Sharq Mall). Remember back in the day when they used to teach kids about Food Pyramids (grains, dairy, veggies, protein)? I managed to grab something from all the necessary food groups; Chocolate, Gummi Candy, Hard Candy, Potato Chips, and Savory Pastries.

Lewis Del Mar – 14 Faces

I’ve never heard of this song before, but they played it during a scene in the Good Doctor (such a good show, which is no surprise, since it’s based on one of the many, many, endearing Korean Dramas, which are some of my all-time favorite shows to watch in general, as I mentioned earlier, here). Anyways, the clip was too short to gauge whether it was a nice song or not, but once I found it on YouTube and listened to the whole thing, I still wasn’t impressed. I played it in my car anyway with the kids in tow (my nieces and nephew) on our way to visit my uncle (who lives halfway across the country) and that’s where this song shined! Blaring full blast on Fahaheel Expressway – Road 30, with the cold wind whooshing in through the half-way open windows and blowing our hair in our faces (mostly my eyes), with the sea-side glittering to our left, as we headed away from the city. It took so much willpower to not speed (along with the song) ‘cuz of the speed limit, and lack of visibility (on account of my hair blinding me and all). Plus, you know, kids and stuff. Basically, this is a pretty cool song!

Miaow Miaow Green Peas Snack

These Miaow Miaow Green Peas Snack are so addictive!

Case in point, I’ve been buying them in packs, ever since this past Ramadan, which is around the same time I discovered the Lay’s Forno Lemon & Black Pepper Baked Potato Chips (reviewed here) but unlike the Lay’s ones, I haven’t grown sick of the Miaow Miaow ones… yet. I came across these Miaow Miaow Green Peas Snack at the Faiha Co-op, of all places, and decided to grab just two, to try them out. After finishing an entire bag in a single sitting, I promptly went back to Faiha to purchase a pack (10 bags per pack) of this stuff, ‘cuz basically it’s kinda’ like crack (except it’s Halal). Shortly after, this stuff started popping up in all the local co-ops and now I can find it almost anywhere. Strangely enough, I’ve never spotted it at The Sultan Center though. If you ever happen to come across the Miaow Miaow Green Peas Snack, try it (I’ll add you to the list of people who are already upset with me for getting them addicted to this stuff). That said, I’m pretty sure there’s nothing remotely healthy about this stuff, so, if you’re into… you know… living, then don’t try it.

Burger King Explains Net Neutrality with Whoppers

The repeal of Net Neutrality is a hot topic in America, but it can be very difficult to understand. That’s why the BURGER KING® brand created WHOPPER® Neutrality, a social experiment that explains the effects of the repeal of Net Neutrality by putting it in terms anyone can understand: A WHOPPER® sandwich.

This effort aims to help people understand how the repeal of Net Neutrality will impact their lives.

The BURGER KING® brand believes the Internet should be like the WHOPPER® sandwich: the same for everyone.

Help keep Net Neutrality safe by signing the petition at Change.org/SavetheNet

Kudos, Burger King!

Net Neutrality is something I’m very, very passionate about. I’ve tried, but ultimately ended up failing, at explaining it, to the people in my life. Hopefully now they’ll be able to understand the concept (and all the accompanying ramifications) after watching this Burger King Ad.

Guys, this is serious.
