Lucifer

For whatever reason, Netflix has been seriously pushing Lucifer. I’ve heard of it before, and noticed it being referenced in several places, but it seemed a bit… corny. However, since it kept popping up all over my Netflix queue, I decided to give it a chance. As expected, it was very corny, but once the cast grew on you, became surprisingly enjoyable! There was nothing remotely scary about the show. Lucifer was portrayed as being more “naughty” rather than straight up evil. He was meant to be charming, but to me, came off as being more obnoxious (like a Kuwaity Boy lol).

Every episode, the cops got a new case to solve… with the help of Lucifer, who had apparently gotten bored of Hell and bounced. Just like Blacklist and Sherlock, watching them solve case after case tends to get… boring. However, there’s also a “will they, won’t they” thing going on with Lucifer and one of the Detectives. That doesn’t stop Lucifer from sleeping around with every other woman (sometimes several at a time) and the occasional man. In fact, Lucifer owns a Night Club and lives right above it. Every now and then, he’ll also perform at said Night Club (he sang a rendition of Jimi Hendrix – All Along The Watchtower) sometimes to an audience, sometimes not. The cast includes a sprinkle of interesting characters including Kevin Alejandro (whom I’d classify as eye-candy, if only his character wasn’t such a push-over) and my beloved Tricia Helfer (who will forever be Six to me).

All in all, it was an easy, mindless and enjoyable watch (nothing stressful)! I zipped through all four seasons (I let it play in the background) amidst some spirited spring cleaning!
