I wasn’t even planning on going in to MAC (especially since I had the little monsters with me), up until I clocked the display for the crazy cute Limited Edition Fix+. One thing led to another and I ended up leaving with these 2 cuties! They were sorta’ repurchases and sorta’ not. I’m just really having a moment with all things Mini/Travel-Size! They’re cuter, cheaper (not necessarily cost-effective but whatevs) and easier to carry around or store!
As I mentioned in my previous The Body Shop haulage posts (here) and (here), I wasn’t going to wait so long between visits (so that I wouldn’t go crazy when I finally did go). I was at the Marina Mall branch of The Body Shop (even though it’s not the largest in the country, it’s my fave branch, for some reason) and noticed that they were having a sale. So I made a
quick stop and picked up a few things (mostly skincare). I haven’t gotten a chance to try everything out yet, but there’s a few items in here that have already seriously impressed me!
Gentle, effective cleansing lotion with soothing camomile.
I still couldn’t find my beloved Clean & Clear Deep Cleansing Makeup Remover (reviewed here) so I went back to The Body Shop to pick up another Seaweed Purifying Facial Cleanser (reviewed here) and wouldn’t you know it, couldn’t find that one either! I’m cursed (lawl)! I don’t particularly care for other forms of makeup removal (cleansing balms, oils, micellar water, etc…) and generally prefer to use the cold cream method (or lotion or gel, basically anything that can be wiped off with a cloth or tissue, and doesn’t leave any annoying residue). I picked up the Camomile Waterproof Eye Make-Up Remover because it had similar packaging (sorta’) to my beloved Clean & Clear Deep Cleansing Makeup Remover, supposedly removes Waterproof Eye Make-Up, and lastly because Camomile (Chamomile) is meant to be skin-friendly (soothing to skin and whatnot).
I’ve mentioned this product in this post (here) but this unsung hero deserves a whole blog post of it’s very own. Again, I’ve tried many, many, many shaving products (ranging from shaving soaps, shaving gels, shaving foam, shaving cream, etc…) from many different brands. The one product I keep returning to, happens to be from Nivea. I’ll stray, from time to time, and try out different products from different brands, but Nivea is one of the brands that offers a pretty decent selection of shaving products, in several forms (foam, cream, gel). Out of the handful of products I’ve tried from them, my favorite by far is Nivea Cool Kick Shaving Foam.
“Prep + Prime Fix+ takes on a delicious twist with the introduction of a creamy Coconut, cooling Cucumber, romantic Rose, calming Lavender, and energizing Yuzu aroma. The aqua-spritz offers all the advantages of the original Prep + Prime Fix+, but with the addition of an uplifting fragrance. Benefits include vitamins and minerals to give skin an instant boost of moisture, an infusion of green tea, chamomile and cucumber to soothe, and a lightweight mist formula that helps make your complexion look refreshed and finished.”
