Lastly but certainly not least were the Candles and Wallflower Bulbs I picked up during The Big Sale. Some were purchased in-store and the ones I couldn’t find in-store were purchased online.
I picked up x14 large 3-wick Candles and x2 Jar Candles and x3 Wallflower Bulbs. I haven’t started burning any of them just yet because ironically, for the past two weeks I’ve been sick with the flu (hence lack of new posts lol)
3-Wick Candles were reduced from KD 8 each to KD 4 each
Single Wick Jar Candles were reduced from KD 6 – KD 5 each to KD 2/500 each
Wallflower Refill Bulbs were reduced from KD 2/250 each to KD 1 each
I decided to post about my experience using the local Bath&Body Works Online Store (dis).
Like I said in my first post on The Big Event (dis), I didn’t even know that they had a sale going on, up until I checked the website.
I spotted more than a few things I wanted online and even added them to my cart, but didn’t purchase a single thing.
Instead, I went to the Souq Sharq branch of Bath&Body Works and picked up the majority of the items from there.
The things I couldn’t find in-store, I ended up ordering online.
This was my first online order from Bath&Body Works.
As you can see, everything arrived grouped together in a single large box.
It was surprisingly well-packaged too!
Also during The Big Sale, I stocked up on some Shower Gels (top photo) and Body Scrubs (bottom left) and Moisturizers (bottom right) and even a single Fine Fragrance Mist.
I kinda’ went crazy during the sale…
As I mentioned earlier (dis) Bath & Body Works were having a “Buy 2, Get 3 Free” promo going on, at the beginning of August.
Between the “Buy 3, Get 3 Free” promo over at Boots (dis) and the “Buy 2, Get 3 Free” promo over at B&BW, I wasn’t sure what was going on (is this even Kuwait?), but I strongly approved! Since I’d just recently decluttered my bathroom (dis), I figured I had room for some new clutter (logic!)
– Umberto Giannini “Mermaid Hair” Volume Mousse
– Soap&Glory “Junk The Gunk” Deep Cleansing Shampoo
– Umberto Giannini “Beach Care” Coconut Oil Conditioner
– Umberto Giannini “Pool Proof” Leave-In Hair Protection Cream
– Soap&Glory “Control Sleek” Heat-Activated Smoothing Cream
– Charles Worthington Volume & Bounce Express Blow Dry Primer
Boots (Avenues) had a “Buy 3, Get 3 Free” promo going on, around the beginning of August. Since my latest obsession seems to be Hair Care, I decided to take advantage of that opportunity and snag some things from the new “Beach Collection” from Umberto Giannini. I also got some stuff from the all new Hair Care Range from Soap&Glory and just the one thing from Charles Worthington.
I didn’t do any “research” beforehand and just grabbed stuff based on the cutesy packaging and fun names, and what they claimed to do. As such, I found some of them kinda’ disappointing. That said, I’m not about to open up all of them in one go (not that crazy) so I’ve only gotten around to using 3 out of the 6, for now.
It only took about ten years (not even joking), but the local Bath&Body Works website is finally up and running!
Rather than running around from branch to branch; triple-checking to see if the latest collection has been released in Kuwait yet, or hunting down a particularly hard-to-find Candle, or whatever, I can just order online now and have the stuff delivered straight to my home!
Yes, they don’t have coupons and stuff like they do in the U.S. and yes, the collections we get are still… limited (it’s the same stock, after all), but give them another ten years or so and they’ll get there, eventually (maybe) lol
Even though I’d already ordered from Nordstrom at the start of June (dis), I placed another order at the end of June, mainly because I wanted a second Hair Care Sample Pack (dis) which happened to still be available (at the time). After this order though, I think I’m gonna’ cool it with Nordstrom (for a bit). It’s just too hot to be ordering stuff online.
Anyways, I got something from Alterna and two more somethings from Bumble and Bumble. Other than the Hair Care Sample Pack there was an Alterna Gift With Purchase and Bumble and Bumble Gift With Purchase which included deluxe samples from each brand! Yaaay!
I also got some more Bar Soaps and Candles to qualify for the Fragrance Sample Pack (dis). I was actually interested in purchasing Mojave Ghost from Byredo and Philosykos from Diptyque as Perfumes, but it was way too hot to risk (the heat might alter the contents and therefore the scent). So, I got them as Bar Soaps instead. Plus, this way, I could “test” the scents first, rather than buying them as Perfumes and possibly ending up hating them.
The Makeup stuff was from Benefit and I only got them because I really, really had my heart set on the Benefit Gift With Purchase that came with a very, very cute Benefit Clear Tote Bag and some samples. Also, it helped bump up the total of my order so I could qualify for the latest Sample Pack (dis).
ELF were having a 50% off Sale, but only on select items (mostly Tools and Brushes and some of their less expensive products).
As usual, none of the newer items were included. So, I used up my Beauty Reward Points (every $1 spent at ELF = 1 Beauty Point) to activate the “Choose Your Own Sale Day” (15% – 25% off) option. That way, I could purchase the other items I wanted (that had not been included in the 50% off Sale) at a discounted price too! I also used up my Beauty Reward Points to redeem several items (got them for free).
I listed both the original price and the reduced price, next to each item and in parenthesis listed whether the item was part of the 50% off Sale or if I had used “Beauty Points” (ELF’s Loyalty Program). Instead of being $175 the total was $100.75 (well, $109.69 with tax) which was KD 30 (about KD 33 with tax).
Shortly after I placed this order, ELF released a whole slew of new products. So, it’s safe to assume that every time they had a 50% Sale, they were most probably going to be releasing new stuff, soon after.

Oh man, I’ve missed this stuff! I’d run out ages ago and had been meaning to replenish my stock for a minute now, but for whatever reason, could never seem to find it anywhere, other than the Souq Sharq branch of The Body Shop. So once I was done with Bath&Body Works (dis), I made my way to The Body Shop (which was a hop, skip and a jump awaaay)! Come to find out, they had a Buy 2 Get 2 Free deal, on select items.
