At the Perfume & Makeup Exhibition (photos here), I made a quick stop at the Al Mansour booth and picked up a few things. For the past few years, I’ve really been trying to cut back on buying more makeup (this is me “cutting back” lol), but since these were relatively inexpensive, I figured there was no harm in buying them (the justification never ends lol) and that’s how I ended up spending KD 30 ($100).
As I mentioned in my latest “Spotted at Sultan Center” post (here) I picked up a handful of snackage as well as some other random items. I’ll be referencing that post quite a bit in this post (but I won’t keep linking to it), so if you’re interested, feel free to check it out before you continue.
I popped in to Boots in the hopes of picking up the St. Tropez Self Tan “Purity” Bronzing Water Mousse (spotted earlier, here). Unfortunately, they were out of stock (I knew I should’ve purchased it, at the time). I believe they had a “15% off” Gosh Makeup, whereas all the other makeup brands were “25% off”. They also had a “Buy One Get One Free” promo on select brands. As per usual, the “Buy One Get One Free” did not extend to St. Tropez or K-Beauty (typical). Still, since I was there, I figured I might as well make the most of it. I picked up x2 Smokey Eye Brushes (one ended up being free) and a pair of Tweezers (to apply falsies) and repurchased that gorgeous Serum Mascara! The sales assistant also ended up tossing in a Bronzer for free (which was nice of her). Next time I see anything remotely interesting at Boots, I’m just going to go ahead and purchase it (then and there)! This is my millionth time returning to the same branch to buy the St. Tropez Bronzing Water and my millionth time not being able to find it lol
After begging Boots to bring back Batiste Dry Shampoo in the shade a Hint of Color – Medium & Brunette (because I couldn’t find it anywhere in the country) and then later on, any Dry Shampoo from any brand (it’s like all the Dry Shampoo in the country just disappeared), Boots finally brought back not only Batiste Dry Shampoo, but they even brought out their own (in-house brand) Boots Dry Shampoo! LOL
I was stalking Zara at Souk Sharq for a particular item (the SA assured me it would be there by the 2nd day of Eid, as if I was supposed to just drop everything and go shopping lawl) and of course I made a quick stop at Sultan Center. Right off the bat, I spotted the Scratch & Win display. Basically, for every KD 4 purchase of Johnson’s products or Neutrogena products or Clean & Clear products, you qualified for a Scratch Card. The featured product seems to be the somewhat new Neutrogena Hydrogel Face Sheet Masks. I took a few photos of some random personal care items too, but I was haaangry so I didn’t take that many photos.
I just wanted to pick up another Nivea (For Men) Shaving Foam (full review here) and ended up getting another one of those Colgate 360 Toothbrushes (this time in Gold… yuck), some really cute Bandaids (can’t resist those) and Tweezers (neon). Cool Kick seems to have been renamed to Fresh & Cool now. Hey, as long as it performs the same, they could call it Chemicals in a Can, for all I care.
In the past few years, Vaseline and Nivea have really impressed me with their offerings! The two products shown aren’t new, by any means, but they’ve pretty much become my favorites! They do their job (perform well) while smelling crazy good and looking stupid cute! What’s not to love?
