My First Essence Haul (Online)

The first Essence item I bought was a Nude Pencil Eyeliner online from Ulta.com (back when they used to accept my online credit card, around 2008 or 2009).

Many years later, I spotted Essence locally at Carrefour (spotted here).

In 2017 I picked up a selection of products from the Essence counter at Carrefour (haulage here).

Then again in January 2019 where I fell in love with one of their Mascaras (here) and repurchased it again on July 2019 (here).

Rather than having to rely on local vendors (because who knew how old the stuff they were selling even was), on February 5th 2020, I placed my first online order directly with Essence.

The website was fairly simple to navigate. Unfortunately, they didn’t have a wide variety of products and shade colors to choose from.

That said, I was only interested in repurchasing my favorite Mascara. The rest was purchased just to test out the brand.

All their products were Cruelty Free and Vegan and Paraben Free and oddly enough, some were Gluten Free (not joking).

The total was $40.32 with tax (after I’d used a $10 off coupon code).

ColourPop 30% Off Sitewide Haul

Every year, I place an order with ColourPop during Black Friday/Cyber Monday (we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving in my country, so the two are pretty interchangeable for me and I keep mixing them up lol).

I’d already have a mental list of stuff that I’d been lusting after, from all their many releases throughout the year and during Black Friday/Cyber Monday they’d usually have a 30% Off Sitewide, which makes it the perfect time to purchase those things from my list!

In fact, I’ve been ordering from ColourPop during every Black Friday/Cyber Monday consecutively since 2016!

I picked up 5 Pressed Powder Shadow Palettes (9-pan) granted one was out of stock as a single (Going Coconuts) and had to be purchased as a bundle that came with 2 Eyeliners (Créme de Coco Set) and another was part of the 3pc Ulta Exclusive (Night Owl).

Unlike their previous bundles and sets where I usually owned at least one of the shades, since I hadn’t purchased from ColourPop in a while, there was no chance of me getting a repeat product (the shades were all new to me), meaning I could finally indulge!

I picked up 3 of those Midnight Masquerade Bundles from yet another Disney Designer Collection and a Blush + Lite Stix Duo (In a Twitter) from the Bye Bye Birdie Collection and a Just a Tint Lip Duo (Coconut Kiss) from the Coconut Collection and 2 Faux False Lash Bundles (3pc each) one from the Bye Bye Birdie Collection and another from I dunno’ lol

I also got a Tinted Moisturizer and Concealer from their new Pretty Fresh range and stocked up on some Brow Stuff and Tools including a Dual Ended Brow Brush and a Sharpener. Lastly, I got 2 Lippie Pencils and an Ultra Matte Lip and an Ultra Glossy Lip.

That said, most of them could be purchased individually. I was just saving $$ by buying them as a bundle.

The prices for everything will be listed below (all the way at the bottom of this post).

Not gonna’ lie, I was a bit disappointed by the fact that even though I purchased them as sets and bundles, most of the items arrived in separate packaging (like they normally would if you purchased them individually).

Only Coconut Kiss and In a Twitter and the Disney Midnight Masquerade Bundles arrived as actual sets.

The Autumn Perfumes Exhibition took place at Mishref Fair Grounds (Halls 5,6,7,8) during October 24 and was meant to end on November 6, but was extended to November 9 (because… weekend).

As per usual, I popped by the Al Mansour booth (pics here) for my makeup-fix.

– x8 Brow Products
– x5 False Lashes
– x1 Mascara
– x2 Eyeshadows
– x5 Blushes

Cosmo Place + Toy Story 4

I was going for a “candid photo” and ended up with dis lol Just roll with it.

Sunglasses: Louis Vuitton Aviators
Top: Mango Dark Heather Grey Printed Message T-Shirt (haulage here)
Jeans: H&M Light Grey Denim Super Skinny Low Jeans (haulage here)
Socks: Next Grey Leopard Print Socks
Shoes: Adidas Kanadia Trail Running Shoes in Dark Shale/Silver/Rave Pink (purchased from Shoes.com via Amazon.com in 2010)

Despite the fact that I was still traumatized from the time I took them to see Aladdin (full gory details here), I’d promised the kids that I’d take them to the movies to see Toy Story 4. We’d already watched 1-3 on Netflix like I’ve mentioned earlier (Popcorn Paragraph), so everything was still fresh for us. Plus, “Summer Camp” was over and the poor devils were getting restless.

Nordstrom Mix Haul (June)

Even though I’d already ordered from Nordstrom at the start of June (dis), I placed another order at the end of June, mainly because I wanted a second Hair Care Sample Pack (dis) which happened to still be available (at the time). After this order though, I think I’m gonna’ cool it with Nordstrom (for a bit). It’s just too hot to be ordering stuff online.

Anyways, I got something from Alterna and two more somethings from Bumble and Bumble. Other than the Hair Care Sample Pack there was an Alterna Gift With Purchase and Bumble and Bumble Gift With Purchase which included deluxe samples from each brand! Yaaay!

I also got some more Bar Soaps and Candles to qualify for the Fragrance Sample Pack (dis). I was actually interested in purchasing Mojave Ghost from Byredo and Philosykos from Diptyque as Perfumes, but it was way too hot to risk (the heat might alter the contents and therefore the scent). So, I got them as Bar Soaps instead. Plus, this way, I could “test” the scents first, rather than buying them as Perfumes and possibly ending up hating them.

The Makeup stuff was from Benefit and I only got them because I really, really had my heart set on the Benefit Gift With Purchase that came with a very, very cute Benefit Clear Tote Bag and some samples. Also, it helped bump up the total of my order so I could qualify for the latest Sample Pack (dis).

ELF Summer Haulage

ELF were having a 50% off Sale, but only on select items (mostly Tools and Brushes and some of their less expensive products).

As usual, none of the newer items were included. So, I used up my Beauty Reward Points (every $1 spent at ELF = 1 Beauty Point) to activate the “Choose Your Own Sale Day” (15% – 25% off) option. That way, I could purchase the other items I wanted (that had not been included in the 50% off Sale) at a discounted price too! I also used up my Beauty Reward Points to redeem several items (got them for free).

I listed both the original price and the reduced price, next to each item and in parenthesis listed whether the item was part of the 50% off Sale or if I had used “Beauty Points” (ELF’s Loyalty Program). Instead of being $175 the total was $100.75 (well, $109.69 with tax) which was KD 30 (about KD 33 with tax).

Shortly after I placed this order, ELF released a whole slew of new products. So, it’s safe to assume that every time they had a 50% Sale, they were most probably going to be releasing new stuff, soon after.

Sephora Fragrance Haul (January)

I finally caved and decided to buy Kilian Black Phantom (Memento Mori) Eau de Parfum (purchased for a whopping KD 116) (mentioned here), rather than continuing to lust after it from afar (here). The fact that the sales assistant (stationed at the Lancome Fragrances) was such a sweetie was also a major factor! I mean… homeboy hooked it up!

He drowned me in Black Phantom (literally dousing me with the stuff!) and willingly filled up several of those little vials for me (with scents that I chose) and gave me several more fragrance samples that he thought I might enjoy and gave me a Dolce & Gabbana Duo Set (Perfumed Body Lotion + Lipstick) and gave me an Estee Lauder Cosmetics Bag (which was filled with a mish-mash of Travel-Size Estee Lauder products and an actual Travel-Size Armani Perfume that he’d stuffed in there for me)!

He did me right! Enough to where I felt obligated to purchase something from his station! So, I picked up another Perfume that I’d been lusting after, which was Lancome Tresor Midnight Rose Eau de Parfum (purchased at a more reasonable KD 43)!

E.L.F. Cosmetics Haul (50% Off Site-Wide)

ELF (Eyes Lips Face) were having a 20% off $20 and 30% off $30 and 40% off $40 and 50% off $50 promo going on (the promo excluded the newest of new releases though), towards the end of November and start of December. I jumped on that deal and ordered a few things that based on my previous experience, probably wouldn’t survive shipping during the Summer (it can get up to 50 Celsius/131 Fahrenheit over here).

Despite being billed for them and also redeeming my “Beauty Points” (part of ELF’s loyalty program) several items were missing from my order. I didn’t bother contacting ELF though, because even if they did ship the missing items separately, the shipping itself would cost more than the actual items. It just wasn’t cost effective.

Regardless, I managed to get my hands on some things that I’ve been meaning to purchase for a good long while now, but was holding back because of the price. I got some Skincare and Foundation (in several shades), Brow Stuff (in several shades), a few Lip Things and even fewer Makeup Brushes and a ton of Blushes and Bronzers and Highlights all for half price! The total was $132 which is slightly more than I would’ve preferred to have spent, but I also feel like I saved more in the long run (logic)! I kinda’ went crazy (which is usually the case when ELF knocks their prices down to half off), but 50% off was just too good to pass up!

Spotted at Sephora (December)

I really wish I’d gotten this post up sooner (like, December), but you know… life. In this post, I’ll be going over some New Items, Skincare, Hair Care, Perfume, cute stuff at the “Aisle of Doom“, the Brand Gift of the month, and most importantly, a few of the discounted items during “Beauty Friday” (Sephora’s version of Black Friday)! I’ll start by going over all the Sephora Holiday Sets.

Sephora had released a whole slew of Gift Sets for the Holidays! You could differentiate them by their lovely navy blue packaging (to mimic the night sky) with a golden moon and stars scattered all over them! Around every corner there was a different Holiday Display. At first, it was a bit overwhelming, but I quickly realized it was mostly the same stuff, except rearranged differently. I tried to take pictures of as many of them as I could. I believe I managed to get all of them (sorry in advance for the glare in some of the photos!)

This (shown above) was literally on the opposite side of the Too Faced Counter. All the other Holiday Displays scattered throughout Sephora featured several of the same products, which led me to believe that this was the main display.

ColourPop Cyber Monday Haul

ColourPop had a 30% off site-wide sale during Cyber Monday. It wasn’t the most tempting deal of all time, except some of my favorite Super Shock Shadows had completely dried up and I needed to repurchase them before ColourPop decides to go ahead and discontinue them… forever.
