Sultan Center Haulage (February)

My first Sultan Center Haulage of the year! This was about 3 or 4 days before Valentine’s Day so I kinda’ went crazy over the Limited Edition stuff and also… I was hangry (which is appropriate, since I’m posting this during Ramadan, the time when people default to hangry)! Like I said in my previous Spotted at Sultan Center post (here), I hit up three different locations on my hunt for Herbal Tea. Even when I’d succeeded in averting my eyes and avoiding certain items at the first branch, by the time I hit up the final branch, my will power was non-existent (all tapped out) lol

Carrefour Haulage (January)

Once again, I was at the Avenues and on my way back to my car, popped by Carrefour to replenish my stock of Jack Link’s Beef Jerky and pick up another Colgate 360 Toothbrush (every time I open up a new one to start using, I like to go out and purchase a back-up as quickly as possible, especially since I don’t always find these babies at any given local co-op).

While there, I couldn’t resist picking up these bars of KitKat because the name of the flavor (Cookie Crumble) made me lol Inspired by recent success with Lux Soap (here), I decided to try out a random scent, which smelled nice in-store, but was so floral and just awful during use!

At the Makeup Aisle, I was completely smitten with a Maybelline Nail Polish in the most delicious shade of coffee brown that was appropriately named Dark Roast! Keeping up with the chocolate-y theme (you know how much I love my themes), I snatched up a tiny pot of Cocoa Butter Body Cream from the brand Himalaya (or Himalaya Herbals? I dunno… it’s just one of those brands that’s always been around, in every drugstore and local co-op, since the beginning of time) to stash in my car for when I forget to moisturize. Lastly, I hit up the Essence counter and picked up a few things (more on that below).

Kush by Lokal (Good Vibes)

Good vibes… food-poisoning… same thing, right? To be fair, their food was decent… at first. I was on the hunt for a substitute for the Ruby Tuesday Classic Ribs (my favorite!) which seemed to have been either out of stock or discontinued all together. The name Kush made me giggle (doesn’t take much to crack me up) and so I decided to give them a try.

I gave their Miami Fries a shot, but it had way too much going on for my taste. So, I went for the Eastcoast Fries the next time… and every other time since. Aside from their Salads, I’ve given several of their Appetizers and Burgers a try, which were all just okay. My go-to became the Eastcoast Fries and Rocky’s Ribs, topped off by a slice of Puerto Rican Tres Leches much, much later, I felt stuffed and legit drowsy, but together, they really hit the spot! Unfortunately, when you have something nonstop, until you get sick of it… well… you get sick of it lol and in my case quite literally. I noticed it the first few times I had a slice of Puerto Rican Tres Leches, two times out of three, I’d get some serious stomach cramps! The last time I had some, I had to take a day off. That’s why it was “the last time”! lol

Carrefour Haulage (December)

I just happened to be in the vicinity (because I usually park my car in the underground parking lot) and figured I’d replenish my stock of Beef Jerky. One thing led to another and I ended up with… dis. To be fair, I can’t find Beef Jerky anywhere else, other than Carrefour, which is why I buy the stuff in bulk (Avenues isn’t exactly around the corner from my place). Also, our local co-op is always out of whichever coffee drink I happen to enjoy at the time, so that’s why I buy a pack or two at a time.

Sultan Center Haul #12

As I mentioned in my latest “Spotted at Sultan Center” post (here) I picked up a handful of snackage as well as some other random items. I’ll be referencing that post quite a bit in this post (but I won’t keep linking to it), so if you’re interested, feel free to check it out before you continue.

On Halloween, I found myself at Sultan Center (Souq Sharq) with a few friends, because we needed stuff… for stuff, y’know?
