As I stated previously in this post the popular nail polish brand known as China Glaze is officially being sold in Kuwait (KD3/500 per bottle). You can find them on display in Debenhams (Souk Sharq, Avenues) and Va-Va-Voom (Marina Mall, Avenues) right next to the cashier’s counter. As for the colors available, they seem to be chosen randomly. Some nail polishes are from the permanent collection and some are from the limited edition collections… from several years ago. Occasionally, you might be able to find the 3-for-2 sets (instead of KD10/500, you only pay KD7/000 for 3 pre-chosen bottles).
It’s official! Nail polish aficionados rejoice because China Glaze Nail Polish is finally available in Kuwait! I purchased a few bottles at the Beauty Expo in Mishref Fair Grounds and was told that they are going to be available for purchase in all the co-ops soon! They retail for KD3/500 per bottle but the price is subject to change. I’m beyond excited!
Now, if you haven’t heard of China Glaze before, here’s a quick run-down. China Glaze is a professional nail polish brand that is continuously coming out with new nail polish collections that are always bang-on trend! What sets them apart is the fact that their nail polish contains nail hardeners. What this means is that your nail polish dries super fast. No more waiting forever for your nails to dry, no more hard to remove nail polish stains on your clothing, and best of all, no more annoying smudges!
Even the beauty world (Urban Decay, OPI) is getting in on the action!
I stumbled upon the whimsical Crescent Row trio at the Benefit Cosmetics counter at Sephora the other day. The perfumes were in vintage-y cocktail shaker bottles (inspired by a cocktail shaker excavated from the founders’ (Jean and Jane Ford) grandmother’s belongings from the 1920s) housed in mini-doll-house packaging, each scent representing a different type of lady.
If clothing stores were restaurants, Forever 21 would be a trendy fast food joint, satisfying and inexpensive. That said, in their bid to take over the retail world (contemporary line, and plus-size line) they are now delving into the realm of cosmetics with a new makeup line called “Love & Beauty“. Again, emphasis on the glitter.
Now we’ll be able to get our cheap makeup fix the same place we get our cheap fashion fix! What do you lovelies think?
Inspired by the Twilight Saga book/movie franchise, the people behind Duwop have created a new cosmetic brand “Twilight Beauty“. The two lines that have debuted appropriately in time for Halloween are “Luna Twilight” aimed at the more mature fans, and the less costly “Volturi” which is geared towards the younger fans (extra emphasis on glitter and such).
On my latest trip to Sephora (The Avenues) these adorable duo-brushes in cheerful colors caught my eye. How cute are they?
