I popped into H&M for a quick peek (since I was at the Avenues anyways) and noticed that they were having a Buy Two Get One Free Deal going on. Plus, with every KD 10 purchase you got an entry into the KD 10,000 raffle. I didn’t feel like trying on any clothes or even swatching stuff (so I wasn’t planning on getting anything) but then I spotted the Face Mask Collection (x3 Face Masks) and one thing led to another… and here we are.

So, I’m somewhat of an Anglophile. I love British Telly! In fact, one of my favorite movies of all time is Green Street Hooligans (based on football hooliganism). I also enjoy watching everything from Sherlock and Black Mirror to Outlander and The Inbetweeners. Honestly, everything just sounds better with an accent. I simply adore the London accent (Cockney Rhyming Slang) and literally everything the main lead said in the movie The Kingsman sounded ridiculously cool to me, but I’m quite partial to a Geordie accent as well. There was this one show (discontinued, I believe) called Aliens… My God, it had me in hysterics from the on-set and throughout! British humor just slays me! It’s so dry and witty and I love it!
With that being said, I’m completely, hopelessly and wholeheartedly obsessed with British Reality TV Shows! I recently became a huge fan of Big Brother (UK), but I’ve watched Geordie Shore and The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent and so on, from the very start. You name it, I’ve watched it. My current drug of choice is a reality show called Love Island. It’s like a train-wreck that I just can’t look away from, so… pretty much crack! I’ve got a handful of Brit friends (in Kuwait) who actually can’t stand that stuff. Another thing I find fascinating about the Brits is their attitude! I’ve come across several large groups of Brits while abroad, and they always seem to be in a jovial mood (granted they were three sheets to the wind), and they’d literally break out into song, out of nowhere! I come across a lot of Brits online (Xbox One) as well, and their sense of humor is the best! I’ve been to the UK about 4-5 times and I’ve enjoyed every single trip, so far! For all those reasons above and more (but I won’t go too much into it now) I classify myself as somewhat of an Anglophile.
Hair Accessory: Boots Black Velvet Scrunchie (haulage here)

Outerwear: Zara Floral Embroidered Shirt (haulage here)
Top: Zara Black TRF Polo Shirt (purchased in 2006 – not 2016 – 2006)
Trousers: H&M Burgundy Overdyed Twill Trousers (haulage here)
Shoes: Studded Black Wedge Sneakers (purchased online from either PLNDR or Karmaloop in 2012)
Shaolin Shuffle is actually one of the DLC maps in COD (if you didn’t understand any part of that sentence, don’t worry about it). The Zara Floral Embroidered Shirt (haulage here) – which as I said, looks like a cross between a Kung Fu Master’s Outfit and a Cheongsam (Traditional Chinese Dress) – was the inspiration behind the title of this post. I love this thing! It’s all long and flowy and just so cool!
Unfortunately, it’s a bit difficult to see (in detail), due to the horrible lighting in my bedroom. Everything looks much darker than it actually is. In reality, the Aviators have a bright red frame, whereas the Trousers are actually burgundy. I insisted on having dimmers and this (insufficient lighting) was the end result. At this point, it’s safe to say that I’m pretty much hopeless when it comes to this whole “Outfit of the Day” thing lol
Once again, I found myself at the Avenues branch of H&M. Once again, they were having some sort of deal. Once again, I couldn’t resist picking up a few items to take advantage of said deal. I picked up a pack of pretty falsies (3x per pack), another one of those sleek hair brushes, and 2 aviators (I’ve always had a thing for aviators, they just look so cool!) and managed to get one of the aviators for free (as part of the deal). Overall, I’m pretty happy with what I got and haven’t experienced any buyer’s remorse since these are all quite practical (for a change)!
Towards the end of September, I picked up 4 Eyeshadows or Infinite Impact Eye Colours from H&M (Avenues). I’d just finished having an early dinner with some friends, and had some time to kill (after we parted ways). So, I managed to swatch all the eyeshadow singles, at H&M (in that little “beauty section area” that used to have kid’s clothes before they renovated the place). Worthy of note, the Avenues branch had a much wider selection than the Salmiya branch. However, I did notice that the “makeup-stuff area” was already looking pretty ratchet (as evident by the state of the eyeshadow boxes, as shown). Also, the “mattes” and “glitters” were a bit chalky and less pigmented than the rest. I fell in love with 2 eyeshadows, but they were having a Buy 3 Get 1 Free Deal (as stated in the title of this post), which is why, I picked out 2 more (clearly can’t resist a “deal”). That said, these retail for only KD 3/500 each, making them super affordable, even without said “deal”. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much, since these were so
cheap wallet-friendly, but I was veritably blown away! The application was a dream (went on like buttah)! Wear-time was pretty great too! The shades I chose were stun-ning! Excellent quality over all!
I’m so in love with each and every single shade that I’d picked out!
As I said in my previous H&M post, they were having some sort of promo going on (Buy Two Get One Free… possibly) on all Beauty products and such, so I decided to check out the Salmiya branch and picked out a few clothing items (hauled here). This post is a haul of everything else (eligible for the promo) that wasn’t clothes. Annoyingly, aside from the Curl Cream, I can’t find the rest of my stuff. I seem to have misplaced the H&M plastic bag (with everything in it). Obviously, this was after I took the pictures for this post. I’m not too bothered though, because I’m sure it’ll turn up… eventually.
H&M were having a promo on their Beauty items, so I decided to check out the Salmiya branch, but couldn’t resist picking up a few clothing items while I was there. It’s nothing exciting, mostly Loungewear and Basics for Winter.
