Since the Smartphone Gloves (haulage here) didn’t fit my older brother, I had to go back to H&M to exchange them. They gave me KD 3/500 in store credit (‘cuz that’s how much the Smartphone Gloves had cost) and ended up with a cute Red T-Shirt for KD 3/000 and a 2-pack of Scrunchies for KD 1/750 from the many huge hair accessories bins at the cash register and just before completing that transaction, spotted a pyramid of Garden Eau de Toilette (20ml) which I’d been obsessing over for a minute now (I took it as a sign) which retails for KD 3/000 so I quickly added it to the pile. I ended up having to pay an additional KD 4/200 for these lil cuties lol

I found a different spot to take pics for “Lookbooks” and “Outfits of the Day”. However, while the lighting in my bedroom may be dark and insufficient, over here it’s too yellow. Ugh. At least you can actually see the Snake Print on the Jeans lol Speaking of which, color-wise, nothing matched those Jeans! In the end, I settled on my favorite Grey Jumper from H&M (practically live in that thing every Winter)!
Thanks to the cropped hem of the Jeans, none of my Shoes/Boots looked right… so, I went with my Black Cowboy Boots (to keep the hem out of sight). For my lion’s mane, I took a few strands from each side and clipped them back (that’s about as “intricate” as my hairstyles get, lol) and finally for “jewelry”, I popped on some Silver “Jacket” Earrings. Just in case it got colder at night, I threw on my “Anime-esque” Green Double-Breasted Jacket from H&M (haulage here).
When we eventually met up, my favorite cousin ever so kindly pointed out that it looked like I had gotten dressed in the dark and that the only reason this worked was because “thin people could get away with wearing anything”… I stopped listening after she called me “thin”. I mean, clearly I’ve put on some weight – thanks to those ridiculously yummy Hershey’s/Snyder’s Chocolate Pretzels – and those Snake Print Jeans were doing me no favors, but still, it was nice to hear!
My outfit was a bit all over the place but at the time (Winter) I was really into this song (here) which featured dudes in Cowboy Boots, hence… dis! Also, I thought it was a bit too late (and hot) to post this, but my bestie is on vacay in Jordan and according to her snaps, it’s still Winter over there lol
I was passing through the Men’s Section of H&M (top floor) at the Avenues, when I noticed a couple of fun Sweatshirts and decided to get them for one of my older brothers (we’re 8 years apart). I also picked up a Black Cap and White T-Shirt (more of a dress on me, really lol) for myself also from the Men’s Section. After this haul, I’m totally convinced that from now on, I should browse around the Men’s Section too, in all the stores, because a lot of their stuff looks so cool and super appealing to me! Since apparently I seem to have male readers as well on here, I figured I’d do a post on the guy clothes I got. Plus, it’s slightly different from my usual content (which is a nice change). The total for everything was KD 52/000.
Like I said in my previous clothing haul post, I was actually at H&M first, with a pile of knit-wear in hand, which I unceremoniously dropped in a corner of the changing room area, to skip over to Zara and pick up a few things over there (haulage here), before returning to H&M to leisurely try on the tops that I’d stashed away in the corner.
I’m not really a “clothes” type of person (obviously I wear clothes, but I’m not as invested in getting the latest and greatest) as my interest lies more with makeup and skincare/shower stuff/everything that smells nice. As such, I didn’t really buy that much clothes throughout the year. This was my final clothing haul of 2018.
First chance I got, I went back to exchange the White V-Neck Frilled Blouse (purchased earlier, here) for a smaller size. While there, I spotted a few more pieces and decided to try them on (spur of the moment thing) and ended up with a few duds. I had to go back (twice) to get them hemmed and everything. Even more annoying was the fact that literally after this haul, I got one of those mass texts from H&M announcing they had Buy One Get One Free (BOGO) promo going on and a week after that there was a 70% off Sale -_-
The new H&M store at the Avenues was finally open for business! It was advertised as the largest H&M store in the world! On September 21, I decided to go take a quick peek. The place was huge! The top floor had the Men’s Clothing and Children’s Clothing and a Tailor. The ground floor was reserved for Women’s Clothing and as always, they had an area sectioned off for Lingerie and Sleepwear and another area just for Makeup, Hair Care and Skincare. The Shoes and Accessories had their own space in the area adjacent to the cash register. They had a relatively decent Changing Room Area. The actual Changing Rooms themselves? Not so much (no wiggle room). At first, I mistook the Click & Collect (online shopping, I suppose) for yet another Changing Room Area (it looked disproportionately upscale, especially in comparison to the rest of the store). They even had a rather large space reserved just for H&M Home (from Bed Linens to Serving Bowls and everything in between).
I wasn’t interested in buying anything, because I didn’t feel like going into the Changing Room and trying on clothes. However, all that changed when I spotted a pair of Red Plaid Flannel Pajama Bottoms (as shown). I’ve always wanted a pair of Red Plaid Flannel PJs! I’d squeezed my behind into my first, last and only pair (size XL) only to have them rip (like, a massive rip) in the back, as soon as I’d sat down on my little red ottoman (which is where I dry my hair after a shower). Since it was un-salvageable, I cut it up into small pieces, and reserved those pieces for mirror and window cleaning (I can’t stand fingerprints on surfaces). That all went down almost 4 years ago. That’s why I got all excited when I spotted these Red Plaid Flannel Pajama Bottoms.
I figured since it was inevitable that I was going to have to take my clothes off in the Changing Room, I might as well make the most of it and try on some other stuff too…

I cut my hair!!!! Well… technically, I was at the salon and the hairstylist cut my hair. I was taking my nieces to get their herr did at the salon for Eid and it was taking forever, so I plopped down in one of the chairs, and on a whim, asked the hairstylist to chop all my hair off! Incidentally, the woman who cut my hair didn’t speak a lick of English nor Arabic, only Turkish, and literally the only word I know in Turkish is tuz which means salt, so we had to basically communicate using over-exaggerated gestures and a lot of pointing, but we got there, eventually.
