Before my nieces and nephew moved back to their home for the start of the school year, I took them shopping for clothes and things like that at The Avenues.
This was the Handbag my sister got for me, as mentioned in My Story: Handbags post (dis).
It wasn’t a birthday gift or anything like that. She just happened to be out with her kids, saw this on display in the window, remembered how earlier I was rambling on about how “Fringe” was having a moment (I just remarked on it, in passing) and she thought I might like this thing! Isn’t she sweetest?
I mistakenly referred to it as Faux Suede, but it’s actually Faux Leather (these things happen more often with some of my longer posts).
This was the H&M Over-Sized Ombre Tote Bag I mentioned in My Story: Handbags post (dis). I mistakenly said that it was a White to Coral gradient, but it was actually more of an Off-White (Ecru?) or Beige rather.
I was shopping at The Avenues with a friend and despite the fact that we were both grown women (nearing or possibly already in our 30’s, at the time), we both decided it’d be cute to buy matching stuff…
We picked up matching Neon Pink Windbreakers from American Eagle and a bunch of other stuff from other stores, including these Ombre Tote Bags from H&M.
Prior to the H&M Ombre Tote Bag, my “go-to Beach Bag” was the M&S Twiggy Tote Bag (dis). I alternated between the two Tote Bags, even taking both with me while traveling abroad, but over time, began to favor the H&M Ombre Tote Bag slightly more.
FitFlop (2007) – Vans (2007) – Red Herring (2007) – Mixstar (2005) – H&M (2010) – Havaianas (2015)
Like I said earlier (dis) I was going to start unpacking some boxes (that have been taking up space in my apartment for quite some time now). I was going to be keeping what I wanted, handing down or donating what I didn’t wanna’ keep and trashing whatever needed to be trashed. There will be more upcoming posts that are similar to this one (maybe).
Since the Smartphone Gloves (haulage here) didn’t fit my older brother, I had to go back to H&M to exchange them. They gave me KD 3/500 in store credit (‘cuz that’s how much the Smartphone Gloves had cost) and ended up with a cute Red T-Shirt for KD 3/000 and a 2-pack of Scrunchies for KD 1/750 from the many huge hair accessories bins at the cash register and just before completing that transaction, spotted a pyramid of Garden Eau de Toilette (20ml) which I’d been obsessing over for a minute now (I took it as a sign) which retails for KD 3/000 so I quickly added it to the pile. I ended up having to pay an additional KD 4/200 for these lil cuties lol
Hair Accessories: Scünci Black Hair Clip
Jewelry: Call It Spring Silver Studded Jacket Earrings (2015)
Top: H&M Grey Knit Roll Neck Jumper (2017)
Bottom: Zara Snake Print High Waist Premium Jeans (haulage here)
Shoes: Bearpaw Black Suede and Leather Cowboy Boots (reviewed here)
I found a different spot to take pics for “Lookbooks” and “Outfits of the Day”. However, while the lighting in my bedroom may be dark and insufficient, over here it’s too yellow. Ugh. At least you can actually see the Snake Print on the Jeans lol Speaking of which, color-wise, nothing matched those Jeans! In the end, I settled on my favorite Grey Jumper from H&M (practically live in that thing every Winter)!
Thanks to the cropped hem of the Jeans, none of my Shoes/Boots looked right… so, I went with my Black Cowboy Boots (to keep the hem out of sight). For my lion’s mane, I took a few strands from each side and clipped them back (that’s about as “intricate” as my hairstyles get, lol) and finally for “jewelry”, I popped on some Silver “Jacket” Earrings. Just in case it got colder at night, I threw on my “Anime-esque” Green Double-Breasted Jacket from H&M (haulage here).
When we eventually met up, my favorite cousin ever so kindly pointed out that it looked like I had gotten dressed in the dark and that the only reason this worked was because “thin people could get away with wearing anything”… I stopped listening after she called me “thin”. I mean, clearly I’ve put on some weight – thanks to those ridiculously yummy Hershey’s/Snyder’s Chocolate Pretzels – and those Snake Print Jeans were doing me no favors, but still, it was nice to hear!
My outfit was a bit all over the place but at the time (Winter) I was really into this song (here) which featured dudes in Cowboy Boots, hence… dis! Also, I thought it was a bit too late (and hot) to post this, but my bestie is on vacay in Jordan and according to her snaps, it’s still Winter over there lol
