Sigma Haul (Jan 2021)

It had been a minute since I’d ordered some Makeup Brushes from Sigma.

So, when I got an e-mail for a 20% off coupon code, I figured what the hey, and placed another order with them on January 2021.

Some of the the soon-to-be-discontinued item were already reduced in price too.

I didn’t even bother with taking this stuff out of the packaging because they arrived around the time I was starting to feel sick.

That said, aside from the two which have been discontinued (you can still google them to see what they look like), the rest are still available for purchase on sigmabeauty.com

Everything arrived in a cool looking black box, as is customary with Sigma.

Mah babies!

E65 Small Angle Brush – Coral/Chrome
E62 Cut Crease Brush (discontinued)
E65 Small Angle Brush – Black/Chrome
E68 Line Perfector™ Brush
E75 Angled Brow Brush

E65 Small Angle Brush

Make smooth, fluid lines along your upper or lower lashes or create hairlike brow strokes with this thin, classic SigmaTech® fiber brush.

I actually picked up two of this particular brush (the pinky-coral and the black), because I’m always on the hunt for a new great Eyebrow Brush! If not, I figured I could just use it as a Liner Brush.

Since I got two, one is designated specifically for use with cream/gel products (wet) while the other is designated for powder products (dry) so I can limit the cross-contamination.

Aside from being the thinnest Angled Brush they’ve got, it’s also touted as a bestseller (almost always out of stock)!

E62 Cut Crease Brush (discontinued)

A flat, curved bristled brush created to master the cut crease.

Pretty self-explanatory no? I picked up this lil sucka’ for cut crease looks, but also, because I wanted to use it with some of my darker ColourPop Super Sock Shadows.

Unfortunately, it seems that it’s been discontinued.

E68 Line Perfector Brush

Apply gel, liquid or powder eyeliner with the angled SigmaTech® fibers for maximum control or clean up your eye look with any concealer.

Another sucka’ for my brows, but it’s actually meant for lining the eyes. You can use it any which way you prefer.

That aside, the clean-up work (in conjunction with concealer) is just chef’s kiss perfection!

E75 Angled Brow Brush

Fill in and shape your brows using your favorite gel or powder products with this classic SigmaTech® fiber brush.

Yeah, so clearly I have a problem and can’t stop collecting Brow Brushes.

To be fair, I did just purchase a whole bunch of Anastasia Brow Products (here) and I was in the market for Brow Brushes, so this wasn’t just a spur of the moment thing.

This baby was also touted as a bestseller!

F23 Soft Angle Contour™ Brush
F47 Multitasker™ Brush

F23 Soft Angle Contour Brush

Say hello to your new must-have contour brush! Perfect for creating a gentle, everyday contour, this fluffy SigmaTech® fiber brush lets you quickly sweep on blush or bronzer.

Hello!

I’ve actually been dying to get my hands on this baby for a few years now (either out of stock or I’m always broke lol) mainly because I wanted, nay needed it, to apply the Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream (purchased here).

This sucka’ applies that stuff like a dream! It’s everything I hoped for and more! Love!

F47 Multitasker Brush

Take your beauty routine to the next level with this dynamic, multifunctional SigmaTech® fiber brush.

With a wide, uniquely angled head, this brush can be used to seamlessly apply your favorite foundation, blush, bronzer and more!

I believe this particular brush was newly launched at the time of this order, but don’t quote me on that.

The F88 is my most fave Sigma Brush ever! I love using it to contour, in conjunction with the E.L.F. Prime and Stay Finishing Powder (here)!

I wanted to get another one, but it might’ve been out of stock or something, so I picked up the F47 instead, because it seemed like a more flexible cousin to the F88 lol

To be honest, they had me at Multitasker.

F64 Soft Blend Concealer™ Brush
F79 Concealer Blend Kabuki™ Brush
F80 Air Flat Kabuki™ Brush

F64 Soft Blend Concealer Brush

Achieve seamless concealer every time using your favorite cream or liquid formulas with this soft SigmaTech® blending brush for everyday.

The Morphe E8 Detail Contour Brush (here) blends out my concealer like a dream!

With that being said, it’s a bit too wide and fluffy.

For a more precise and detailed application of concealer, I snatched up the F64.

As it turns out, they’re kinda the same lol

F79 Concealer Blend Kabuki Brush

Look well-rested and flawless every day with this Sigmax® fiber brush designed for stippling on any color-correcting or concealing formula.

I couldn’t decide between this F79 and the F86 so I picked up both (for concealer).

F80 Air Flat Kabuki Brush

Get the “no makeup” look you crave with our best-selling flat top kabuki foundation brush – reimagined!

Featuring feathery soft, duo fiber bristles, this professional makeup brush provides lightweight, buildable coverage for a dewy, natural-looking foundation finish.

I’ve never tried the F80, despite it being well-loved by many, but once I clocked the F80 Air (newer, better, upgraded version) I was intrigued and figured I’d give it a try!

I don’t really use foundation all that much, but I’d just recently purchased a few from ColourPop (here).

F82 Round Kabuki™ Brush
F86 Tapered Kabuki™ Brush (discontinued)

F82 Round Kabuki Brush

Achieve your perfect, natural finish by buffing mineral powder onto your skin using circular motions with the soft, rounded Sigmax® fibers.

Got this for powder.

Now typically, I don’t use powder, however the Becca Hydra Mist Set and Refresh Powder (here) is bomb!

It made me rethink my stance on setting powders and on life in general!

So, naturally, Becca went bankrupt (thanks, covid) and the Hyra Mist Set and Refresh Powder is no more.

A dense, tapered blending brush.

Created for precise application, blending, and buffing of liquid and cream based products, F86 Tapered Kabuki Brush helps to seamlessly apply concealer beneath the eyes and foundation into the harder-to-reach parts of the face.

I couldn’t decide between this F79 and the F86 so I picked up both (for concealer).

The F86 is significantly larger than the Morphe E8 lol because it’s actually meant for foundation, but I play by my own rules.

I believe I picked this up mainly because it was in the sale section or goodbyes section or whatever, and was going to be discontinued for good.

It’s no longer available for purchase now.

Lip Care Trio

Lastly, I picked up this lil Lip Care Trio.

It wasn’t on sale and the coupon code didn’t apply but I just couldn’t resist getting it.

While this kit is no longer available as a trio, you can still purchase any of the items individually.

Moisturizing Lip Balm – Dewy

Give your lips a healthy all-day glow with this universally flattering, pH-activated lip balm.

The perfect lip care for chapped lips, this nutrient-rich balm soothes, conditions and restores your lips while adding a subtle tint.

Personally, I love these pH-activated Lip Balms, from any and every brand!

This one didn’t have any discernible scent nor taste and it went on nice and smooth.

I really like the pink shade it turned into on my lips!

It was neither not too light nor too dark and just looked almost natural!

While this baby may be not feel as luxe as some of the others that I’ve tried before, I quite like it!

If you can only get just one thing from the Lip Trio, make it this one.

Hydrating Lip Gloss – Glazed

Nourish and rejuvenate your lips with this tinted, pH-activated lip gloss.

The best lip treatment for hydration on the go, this universally flattering, nutrient-rich lip care gloss provides a soft, healthy shine with a gorgeous shimmer finish.

I was pretty excited to see how that pH-activated stuff that would tint my lips! I thought for sure it would be coral or orange or summat.

Sadly, I didn’t notice any difference in color.

It applied like any clear gloss with glitter (albeit this particular glitter combo of blue/green and whatever else, was aesthetically appealing).

I liked that the packaging was clear but felt indifferent about the foam-tip applicator.

While this stuff didn’t have any discernible taste, it did have that awful grapefruit scent, not unlike the Charlotte Tilbury Glowgasm Glass Lip Balm (here) which I sincerely hope isn’t a trend that’s here to stay.

So yeah, this thing was definitely not worth the price.

Conditioning Lip Mask – Silken

Get the best nighttime lip care with this leave-on lip mask treatment designed to soothe, soften and replenish your lips while you sleep.

I didn’t care much for the metal-tip applicator, to be honest (which feels more like something you’d expect from an Eye Cream or Eye Serum or whatever).

The product itself was an unappealing shade of greenish-yellow (looked gross) and felt super sticky (thing along the lines of Vaseline). No scent or taste though.

Sure, I woke up to softer lips but honestly, I didn’t care much for this thing, at all.

I must say, Sigma Brushes are crazy soft! Despite some minor shedding issues with certain brushes after the initial wash, they do hold up quite nicely too (they can handle a beating)!

I’d suggest holding out for a coupon code or a sale though.
