US Bath and Body Works Holiday Haul (Dec 2020) – Part 3

Towards the end of the year, everything was significantly reduced in price at the US Bath & Body Works so I had to place an order with them.

Hand Soaps were reduced from $7.50 to $3.75 each

Gentle Gel Hand Soaps on the left.

Gentle Foaming Hand Soaps on the right.

Marshmallow Fireside

A sweet, subtly smoky blend of toasted marshmallow, smoldering woods & fire roasted vanilla

I’ve purchased Marshmallow Fireside as adorable lil Mini Candles (here) and later as a 3-wick Candle (here) and even as a Wallflower Fragrance (here) and absolutely loved the scent in each form!

I loved it enough to repurchase it as a Room Spray (here) and as both a Gentle Gel Hand Soap and Gentle Foaming Hand Soap in this haul!

While I adore my gourmands, sometimes they can tend to be a bit overly sweet (which is the point lol) so it’s nice that there’s some other stuff in here, to temper the sweetness and also add depth to the scent.

Marshmallow Fireside is a sublime mix of sweet, smoky and woodsy!

Also, I find the all-black packaging and darker liquid aesthetically appealing! It looks so festive and cool!

Merry Cookie

A bake sale mix of buttery shortbread, vanilla bourbon icing & spun sugar

I hate the packaging. Let’s just get that outta’ the way right now.

I’ve actually purchased Merry Cookie earlier pre-covid as well (here) and much prefer that packaging over this one.

Unlike Christmas Cookies (here) which has some almond and wood notes, Merry Cookie includes a boozy note. Both are quite different.

In any case, it’s a nice gourmand… for when I’m in the mood for it.

Frozen Lake

An invigorating mix of frozen cypress, eucalyptus & juniper berry

Gorgeous packaging! Horrible scent!

I got sucked in by the beautiful packaging that matched the equally delightful name!

While I’m not a fan of overly cartoon-y depictions (unless it’s anime), the swan looked so pretty! Also, this particular shade of blue looked so aesthetically appealing!

Heck, the whole thing looked lovely!

The fragrance notes didn’t mean anything to me, but I was hoping it would smell fresh and uplifting. Yeah… no.

This stuff smelled vile! It smelled like vapo-rub. Totally not for me lol

Coconut Mint Drop

An arctic-meets-tropics mix of white coconut, iced peppermint & winter musk

The packaging did nothing for me. I liked the green though and found it pleasing to the eye!

Aside from that, I’ve purchased Coconut Mint Drop as a Shower Gel earlier (here) and was veritably blown away by the scent!

I also got it as part of a Hand Soap Set (here) and it was equally lovely!

As such, I repurchased it in this haul as a Body Lotion (here) and a Gentle Gel Hand Soap and Gentle Foaming Hand Soap.

It wasn’t a full-on coconut scent, as I felt the coconut was barely discernible. The peppermint was quite light too.

It was the gorgeous sandalwood or “winter musk” that got me! I really loved how it scented my skin afterwards!

Frosted Coconut Snowball

An island-meets-igloo blend of creamy coconut, whipped vanilla & sugar crystals

The packaging was too cartoon-y for me, but I was in the market for a nice coconutty scent.

While Coconut Mint Drop did include coconut in the name, the coconut in it was barely discernible and that’s where Frosted Coconut Snowball comes in!

Also, unlike other scents that come and go, they literally keep bringing this back every Holiday Season (meaning it’s a classic) so I figured I’d finally give it a shot.

It smelled surprisingly familiar, like some sort of coconutty dessert Arabs serve during gatherings or Ramadan.

I quite liked it!

Honolulu Sun

A dreamy blend of fresh island coconut, Pacific palm & driftwood

I kinda’ have a love/hate relationship with Honolulu Sun.

Sometimes, I’ll find it nice and coconutty and sometimes I’ll find it too perfume-y (to where it hurts my nose).

They keep bringing this out every year Summer, so every now and again I’ll repurchase it on a whim (here).

That said, I got it this time mainly because of very pretty packaging which seemed perfect for Summer!

Fiji White Sands

A vacation-ready blend of white sands, vanilla orchid & warm amber

I got this as a Deep Cleansing Hand Soap during covid (here) and thoroughly enjoyed the wonderfully beachy scent!

I even repurchased it in the form of antibacterial PocketBacs (here) because it smelled so good!

I would’ve loved to have repurchased it as Deep Cleansing Hand Soap, but since that wasn’t an option, I figured I’d give it a try as a Gentle Gel Hand Soap.

As a bonus, I really, really liked the simple packaging!

You’re The One

A luxurious blend of soft rose, winter woods & a drop of strawberry nectar

At the time of this haul, B&BW had just come out with a new signature scent called You’re The One. They released it in almost every form, I believe.

It was clearly a floral (which I don’t do), but everyone was going crazy for it!

Rather than commit to a Shower Gel or whatever else, I figured I’d get it in the form of a Hand Soap first (easier to use up).

For starters, I found the packaging to be hideous lol It had way too much going on, for my taste.

As for the scent, it was definitely not my cup of tea. I just can’t stand florals.

With that being said, I’ve placed this baby in the guest bathroom (downstairs) and whenever they come over, my friends won’t shut up about how much they love the scent. Win, win.

White Waves

An oceanfront blend of sea spray, white peony & salted amber

I’d purchased this baby as a Gentle Foaming Hand Soap in my 3rd US Haul (here) and once I started using it, fell deeply in love with the gorgeous scent!

White Waves was sublime!

Think along the lines of Chanel Allure Home Sport or Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue etc…

I wish they’d come out with an entire range of products in this scent because it was absolutely gorgeous!

As soon as I spotted it again, I quickly repurchased it as a Gentle Foaming Hand Soap.

The packaging was whatever but the scent was everything! White Waves truly was exquisite!

Strawberry Pound Cake

A sweet, airy swirl of fresh strawberries, golden shortcake & whipped cream

Ah the infamous Strawberry Pound Cake.

Once again, the packaging, much like the packaging on White Waves did nothing for me. I did like the pink liquid though.

Previously I’ve purchased this baby as a 3-wick Candle (here) and a single-wick Candle (here) and as a Shower Gel (here).

Strawberry Pound Cake smelled equally mouthwatering and delicious in every form!

Naturally, I had to give it a try as a Hand Soap.

Dazzling Nights

A shimmering holiday blend of warm vanilla, spiced winterberries & cedarwood

Not gonna’ lie, the Gatsby-themed packaging kinda’ influenced this purchase.

I was kinda’ more intrigued by the packaging lol

Thankfully, the scent was lovely!

The spiced winterberries smelled delightful! They were neither sweet nor tart. They were just… perfect!

Coupled with the cedarwood which gave the scent that uplifting quality that I do so love!

Every now and again, I’d even get a whiff of vanilla, randomly.

All in all, Dazzling Nights was basically a sleeper hit!

Coconut Mint Drop

An arctic-meets-tropics mix of white coconut, iced peppermint & winter musk

Not a fan of this newer packaging that B&BW keep churning out for old-school favorites. I find it ugly and tacky. That said, I do so love this particular shade of seafoam green!

Paradise Coconut

An umbrella drink of juicy pineapple, sugarcane & coconut milk

Wow!

I’ve never used a Hand Soap before that’s brought me this much pure joy!

With. Every. Single. Use.

Unlike other fruity scents, not once did it get irritating or annoying!

It smelled 100% delightful all the time!

Much like the image depicted on Seaside Waves (here), I found the packaging aesthetically appealing on this baby as well!

I’ve been trying to ration it but sadly it’s at the very end, which is why I’m so thankful that I’d picked it up as a Wallflower Fragrance too (here)!

As I said earlier, I just love me some Piña Colada and this baby was equal parts sweet pineapple and coconut!

Fresh Mint Apple

A refreshingly fruity mix of crisp red apple, white eucalyptus & winter lemon

I wholeheartedly hated the cartoon image lol I did however like that both the packaging and the liquid were clear.

Hideous packaging side, the notes sounded intriguing. I wondered what lemons and apples and eucalyptus would smell like when combined.

As it turns out, the scent was extremely nostalgic and actually reminded me of something I got from Bath & Body Works when they first opened up shop in Kuwait!

I wanna’ say it was Fresh Market Apple (here) or maybe Fresh Picked Honeycrisp Apple (here) but I could be wrong.

In any case, the apple in this thing was so nice and well worth the purchase!

Whipped Espresso

An energizing blend of espresso bean, creamy vanilla & whipped sugar

How stinkin’ cute!

While I may despise cartoon-y packaging, I do so love some of the cutesy ones!

I loved the cute lil pun they threw in there too! Mostly, I loved the pink liquid! So much cuteness going on ♥

As for the scent, I’d stocked up on Summer Tiramisu pre-covid (here) and absolutely adored the delightfully sugary coffee scent!

Since Whipped Espresso and Summer Tiramisu shared the same fragrance notes, I deduced that they were one and the same hence this purchase.

Fresh Sparkling Snow

A cool, fruity blend of icy melon, holiday pear & falling snow

Not the biggest fan of the cartoon-y picture, but I do like that the bottle looks sorta’ frosted and I really like the seafoam green which is is such a pretty shade!

I got this as a Shower Gel earlier (here) and found the scent to be puzzling, in the sense that sometimes I liked it and sometimes I didn’t.

Initially, when I first started using it as a Hand Soap, I liked it.

Over time, I began to dislike it. The fruity scent got to be annoying.

It’s not bad but it’s not great either. To clear things up, I definitely wouldn’t repurchase.

Marshmallow Fireside

Also I loved the black+white packaging and full on black liquid! It’s so festive and cool and different!

Flannel PocketBac Hand Sanitizer 5-pack retailed for $6

Flannel

Crisp Autumn Air + Heirloom Mahogany + Cedarwood

I’d seen Flannel around in several forms, but mostly ignored it, up until I tried it one day as single-wick Jar Candle (here) and promptly fell in lurrrve!

I liked it enough, that during my 1st quarantine haul, I repurchased it as a Gentle Foaming Hand Soap (here) and was about halfway through it, when a friend who had come over to swim, fell in love with it. So, I gave it to her.

While I adore most of my sweet-scented PocketBacs, sometimes they can clash horribly with whatever I’m eating.

For example, I’d be at the movies, ready to dig in to my nachos, but my fingers would smell like Cotton Candy. It could get annoying, at times.

In comes Flannel to the rescue! It’s a nice and fresh masculine scent that doesn’t clash as much with the scent of whatever I’m about to eat.

Plus, I just find the scent to be quite sexy and pleasant!

Also, the packaging looked equally delightful (nice colors, nice pic, no cartoon-y stuff)!

That concludes my end-of-the-year B&BW Haul.
