Like I said in my post Chef LuLu Part 8 (here) an ex-friend and I went to The Avenues on Nov 27 2020 for Black Friday.
The plan was to hit up Sephora but instead she parked by Prestige so we could grab dinner at Joe’s.
Afterwards, we popped into Chanel (I wanted to check out their Boots) and then Prada (also for Boots), but didn’t get anything from either of those places.
I didn’t see a line of people outside Saint Laurent so I went in with Mera following me and we both promptly fell in love with the Niki Shoulder Bag!
It was available in the Fog (gorgeous grey, as shown) and Peacock Green (more like a stunning teal).
I kinda’ wanted them both actually, but Mera had clearly fallen in love with the teal one, which is why I didn’t buy it for myself (so she could have it).
She also wouldn’t stop gushing over the Manhattan Shoulder Bag (in beige) yet ended up walking out of Saint Laurent without purchasing either Handbag… which I thought was pretty sus.
Also for whatever reason, certain items were 30% off, including the Niki Shoulder Bags which normally retail for KD 775 but had been reduced to KD 542/500 Score!

Blah blah-blah blah-blah. Anyways, I think this baby was released in 2018, which might explain the 30% off (I dunno’).
Crinkled Calfskin Matelasse Monogram Medium Niki Chain Satchel
It’s classified as a Medium but this thing was pretty huge!
It could fit so many full size products quite comfortably (no weird bulging) and still have room for more!
Even the compartments – the pockets and whatnot – were pretty spacious!
I liked that it was kinda’ slouchy yet still structured, because it came across as laid-back and chill yet still put-together!
That meant it could be paired with jeans and heels for a night out with the girls or paired with something more sophisticated for formal events.
If you’ve read My Story: Handbags (here), you’ll see that this baby ticked all my boxes!
Like I said, I’ve become absolutely infatuated with anything and everything Grey!
From my eyeshadows to my clothes and shoes, heck, even the walls of my apartment, anything Grey just looks sooo good to me!
Grey makes me think of an overcast sky (my favorite!) and hot rocks (very zen). Oddly enough, I kinda’ associate Grey with a sterile environment lol I just love Grey!
Even the name of this shade, Fog, sounded delightful!
Another reason this baby spoke to me was because it was simple (‘cuz I detest flashy Handbags).
I really appreciated the fact that the entire Bag was all one single color!
I loved that the logo was in that same delightful Grey (which made it more discreet) and I loved that all the hardware was silver too, which fit in with the color scheme of this baby beautifully!
I mean, how cool does that chain strap look! It could be worn shorter, as a double chain, over the shoulder or longer, as a single chain, resting at the hip (which is how I wore it).
I liked the crinkled leather (textured) too and thought it gave this baby character!
The Niki Medium Shoulder Bag in Fog was practical (could comfortably carry a ton of stuff), easy to maintain (quick wipe-down with antibacterial wipes) and obviously was extremely, extremely aesthetically appealing to me!
It was simple, it was textured and it was in a neutral shade (gorgeous, gorgeous Grey)! It was totally my vibe!
I first wore it to Murouj back-to-back (Dec 16 + Dec 17), once to Solia with Abby and Bibi and again the next day to Mana with May (mentioned in Chef LuLu Part 9).
A few days later (Dec 21) I wore it to Al Mubarakiya, with Abby and Bibi and again (Feb 3) to Al Mubarakiya with my bestie and her sister (Chef LuLu Part 10).
It paired well with everything! It could be either dressed up or dressed down! Most of all though, I love, love, loved the color! So cool!
Basically, this baby had my heart right from the start!
