Hair Care Collective Haulage (taw9eel.com + Sultan Center)

During the lockdown, I was pretty much swimming on the daily and consequentially sharing my Shampoo with friends and family. Naturally, I was starting to run low on Shampoo and it was starting to worry me.

I wasn’t certain how long the online stores would remain open during the lockdown (thinking they could all shut down at any moment).

So, I stocked up on not only Shampoo but Conditioner and Oil Replacement and even Hair Serums.

Did I overdo it? Possibly, but then again, we were in the midst of a pandemic.

Truthfully, I was all set on Conditioner (Cream Silk), but taw9eel.com had this promo going on (Free Paddle Brush with every 2 TRESemme products).

Also, I sometimes enjoy using matching Shampoo and Conditioner, to maximize the promised effect (be it hydration or repair or whatever else).

As a compromise, I picked up the larger size Shampoo (400 ml) but went with the smaller size for Conditioner (200 ml).

Afkar Paddle Brush

I didn’t have high expectations for the Afkar Paddle Brush, or any expectations really, but now I can’t even imagine living without it!

The glue had come undone on the current Hair Brush that I was using in the shower – in conjunction with Cream Silk Conditioner – to detangle my hair.

So I just grabbed the closest Hair Brush to use as a substitute, which turned out to be the Afkar Paddle Brush and was veritably blown away!

I’ve been using the Afkar Paddle Brush ever since! It’s sooo good!

For starters, it’s huge! Second of all, it feels nice and sturdy in my hand. Last but certainly not least, it actually detangles my hair (and doesn’t just skip over the tangles)! What’s not to love?

I actually received four of these babies (part of the promo) but gave one to our housekeeper. If you’re interested, according to the packaging, the Afkar Paddle Brush is distributed by Alshaya.

If you’ve got long tangle-prone hair, I cannot recommend this baby enough!

TRESemme Botanix Nourish and Replenish Shampoo (Coconut Milk and Aloe Vera)
TRESemme Botanix Detox and Reset Shampoo (Green Tea and Ginger)
TRESemme Keratin Straight and Smooth Shampoo (Argan Oil and Keratin Oil)

TRESemme Botanix Curl Hydration Conditioner (Shea Butter and Hibiscus)
TRESemme Botanix Nourish and Replenish Conditioner (Coconut Milk and Aloe Vera)
TRESemme Keratin Smooth and Straight Conditioner (Argan Oil and Keratin Oil)

TRESemme Nourish and Replenish (Coconut Milk and Aloe Vera)

Like I said, I was swimming almost daily and what with the chlorine and the sun, my hair was pretty much beat.

That’s why I chose the matching shampoo and conditioner in Nourish and Replenish.

Also, they had me at Coconut Milk lol

TRESemme Keratin Smooth and Straight (Argan Oil and Keratin Oil)

Frizz is the bane of my existence! In fact, one of my earliest posts on this blog (Frizz-Ease) was me complaining about frizz lol

I figured the Keratin Smooth and Straight would help tame my and my eldest niece’s frizz. My younger nieces thankfully didn’t suffer from frizz as they both had naturally smooth hair.

Also, something about Keratin and the red packaging makes me feel like this stuff is something they’d use on you at the salon (all professional and stuff) lol

TRESemme Botanix Detox and Reset Shampoo (Green Tea and Ginger)
TRESemme Botanix Curl Hydration Conditioner (Shea Butter and Hibiscus)

This is the only pair I picked up that didn’t match.

I’ve explained my fondness for Deep Cleansing Shampoo before, and the Detox and Reset Shampoo seemed like it fit the bill.

If you swim a lot or use a bunch of hair products (serums, mousse, leave-in, oil-replacement, etc…) there’s bound to be some product build-up. This was meant to take care of that.

I didn’t see the point in getting the matching conditioner though, because you’re only supposed to use shampoo on your scalp (where the product build-up occurs), whereas conditioner is meant for the rest of the hair.

So I went with Curl Hydration Conditioner for daily use (after swimming or whatever), when I knew I was going to let my hair air-dry and not use any hot tools to straighten it.

It was only available in the 400 ml size but I didn’t mind. Like I said, I got this for daily use.

Syoss SALONPLEX Hair Renaissance Shampoo (for treated and overstressed hair)
Syoss SALONPLEX Hair Perfection Conditioner (for dry, devitalized hair)

These babies were huge!

500 ml each huge!

They looked like something you’d see at a salon. Heck, they even had the word SALONPLEX on the side.

Truthfully, I was kinda’ bummed about not being able to get my hands on Olaplex (specifically No.3) and these two had similar jargon (bonds and whatnot).

Also, how professional did they look! They looked like they meant serious budness!

Syoss SALONPLEX Hair Renaissance Shampoo (for treated and overstressed hair)

The shampoo was supposed to restore broken hair bonds (which is what sold me on this stuff) and refill the hair (how?) and seal and protect the hair fibre.

Not quite sure what any of that meant, but I was very interested, and hoped the results would speak for themselves.

Syoss SALONPLEX Hair Perfection Conditioner (for dry, devitalized hair)

While the conditioner was supposed to refill the keratin to repair the hair (wut?)

Again, not quite sure what that meant but it sounded good lol

Pantene Hair Super Food Shampoo
Dove Nourishing Secrets Strengthening Ritual Shampoo (Avocado Oil + Calendula Extract)

I couldn’t decide between these two so I got both.

Pantene Hair Super Food Shampoo

This sucka was huge! It was 500 ml huge!

The packaging strongly appealed to me, for some reason, which was the main driving force behind this purchase lol

That said, I started using this baby right away and between me and my nieces (who were sleeping over during the lockdown) and my friends (who came over to swim on and off), we finished the whole thing in a few months.

It did the job (got my hair clean) and had a faint candy smell which I found pleasant. I didn’t notice anything else though.

Something about the size of the bottle and the image on the packaging and the colors used (all pastel-y and cute) strongly appealed to me though (which made this stuff a joy to use!) and if I didn’t have so many other Shampoo bottles to go through, I’d definitely repurchase this baby. I probably will, down the line.

Dove Nourishing Secrets Strengthening Ritual Shampoo (Avocado Oil and Calendula Extract)

This thing was pretty tall and housed 400 ml of Central American ancient ritual inspired blends of Avocado Oil and Calendula to treat hairfall (according to what it says on the back).

Honestly, I just got it because it had Avocado Oil lol

Schwarzkopf Gliss Hair Repair Ultimate Oil Elixer Shampoo (Keratin Serum + Oil Elixer)

Now this I picked up online from Sultan Center. It kept going in and out of stock so I waited for it before placing my order.

I’d already accumulated a ton of conditioner, but I really had my heart set on this baby.

I mainly got it because on the back it mentioned strawy hair lol

Also, it had Keratin. Also, Schwarzkopf products are bomb! I wish they sold the entire range in Kuwait really.

Garnier Ultra Doux Extreme Nutrition Shampoo (Mythic Olive)

Previously, I’d picked up the 200 ml version from Sultan Center (here) and enjoyed it so much (you can see there’s only a lil bit left) that I was now repurchasing the much larger 700 ml version.

That said, I would’ve loved to have found the Garnier Ultra Doux 5 Plants Vitalizing Shampoo instead (reviewed here) because that stuff was my favorite (deep cleansing and had an amazing scent)!

The Garnier Ultra Doux Extreme Nutrition Shampoo was the next best thing though. It made my hair feel clean and didn’t leave any residue. Also, Olive Oil is known to be great for hair!

L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil Deep Nourishing Oil Shampoo (Macadamia + Argan Oil)

Previously, I’d picked up the 200 ml version from Sultan Center (here) and enjoyed it so much that I was now also repurchasing the much larger 700 ml version.

It wasn’t as frothy as I’d like but it had a lovely scent that made me feel nostalgic. After a lot of struggle lol I finally placed the scent.

It was from a certain bubblegum (that didn’t smell like bubblegum, if that made sense) which came with a small cardboard cutout of an anime girl, and stickers of dresses for the girl, that you had to place over the cardboard cutout of the girl and scratch it on for it to transfer over her body so it would appear like she was wearing the dress. So cute!

Basically, the sweet nutty scent was mainly why I enjoyed using this particular shampoo. However, it also had Macadamia and Argan Oil, both of which were nourishing and whatnot lol

L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil Nourishing Oil Replacement (Macadamia + Argan Oil)
Garnier Ultra Doux Extreme Nutrition Oil Replacement (Mythic Olive)

There were tons of different Oil Replacements but I went with the ones that I knew I liked in other forms.

I got the Extraordinary Oil Nourishing Oil purely because I knew it was going to smell great and the Garnier Extreme Nutrition Mythic Olive one because I really enjoyed using the Shampoo from the same range.

Right after swimming, if I wasn’t in the mood to dry my hair, I’d just slather some of the Garnier Mythic Olive on my hair and let it airdry. It didn’t freeze my curls (they were a bit looser and kinda’ shapeless) but it did give a nice wave to my hair and it did tame the little frizzies somewhat.

I got a ton of use out of it during the summer of 2020 and more so in 2021!

OGX Anti-Breakage + Keratin Oil Weightless Rapid Reviving Oil
L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil Treatment Hair Serum (Macadamia + Argan Oil)

Lastly, I got some Serums, one from OGX just to try and one from L’Oreal (in the same range as the Shampoo and Oil Replacement) for the scent.

Truthfully, I’ve repurchased the L’Oreal Hair Serum a bunch of times already, but keep forgetting it a friend’s place or at the chalet or straight up losing it so this was probably my third repurchase lol It’s great for people who have bangs!

As for the OGX, I’ve been using it since day 1 liberally spraying it on my hair and I’ve barely even made a dent! It smells great but honestly, I don’t notice it making much of a difference in my hair lol

Garnier Ultra Doux Extreme Nutrition (Mythic Oil)

So this is my little Garnier Mythic Olive Collection which I’ve been enjoying!

L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil (Macadamia + Argan Oil)

Finally, here’s the L’Oreal Extraordinary Oil Collection that smells amaze!

Sure this was a lot of Hair Stuff, but we did go under lockdown again and again and again… but I was all set on Shampoo and didn’t have to worry about what I was going to wash my hair with (priorities lol)

Truthfully, we’re a big household, plus with the kids (nieces and nephew) sleeping over during each lockdown and my friends coming over to swim during the quarantine (when there was a national curfew), I needed to be fully stocked up.
