Like I said in my 1st Bath & Body Works Candle Haul from waaaay back in 2012 (here), I’m a hardcore scented-candle aficionado!
I mean, in 2019 alone, I’ve collected a ton of Candles just from the local Bath & Body Works! I picked up x3 back in March (here) and x16 during The Big Sale (here) and x7 during the Flash Sale (here) and x6 more towards the end of the year (here)!
Then, in my 1st US B&BW Online Order, I picked up x8 more, all from the latest Holiday Collections (here)! In my 2nd US B&BW Online Order, I picked up x17 more (here). Topping it off with x10 more in my 4th US B&BW Online Order during Candle Day (here).
Heck, I’ve collected a ton of Candles since starting this blog (here)! I just love things that smell great, including Candles! They make my life… better!
So when I noticed that our local B&B Online Store were having some sort of promo, I picked up x2 more Candles (as shown) which had been reduced from KD 8/000 each to KD 4/000 each.
Summer Sippin’ Collection:
Black Cherry Merlot (purple wax) – Never!
Coconut Water (blue wax) – Purchased!
Island Margarita (green wax) – Interested, but not very.
Peach Bellini (orange wax) – Hard pass!
Pink Apple Punch (pink wax) – Not interested.
Salted Pretzel Milkshake (beige wax) – Purchased!
Watermelon Lemonade (red wax) – Not interested.
As you can see, the Summer Sippin’ Collection (which randomly popped up online towards the end of year) had adorable packaging! I liked the colorful wax for each scent and I really liked the huge font displaying the name of each scent, but most of all, I adored the picture on the front of each of the 3-wick Candle in the Summer Sippin’ Collection! Each scent and its correlating packaging was based on a drink too. So cute!
While I was at it, I picked up a Wallflower Fragrance Plug in White which was reduced from KD 2/500 to KD 1/750 bumping up the total of my order to above KD 9 and therefore qualifying me for Free Shipping. I placed my order on December 27 and as you can see, everything arrived safely intact (no broken candles) this time.
Wallflower Fragrance Bulb (white)
My first was a purple one back in 2012 (here) which I seem to have lost. My second was a gorgeous grey one from 2015 which I use to this day (here). My third was a black one which I’ve either popped in the Theater Room/Cinema Room or given away to one of my brothers (here).
I’m pretty sure I’ve purchased more of these Wallflower Fragrance Bulbs (at one point I had one in my Living Room and another in my Changing Room and possibly another in the Hallway), but I’ve probably passed them along to my brothers or friends or whomever. Honestly, everyone needs at least one of these things. Good luck trying to find any during the coronavirus pandemic though.
Since it was on “sale”, I figured I’d pick one up exclusively for the kitchen. You might’ve noticed the Black and White theme of our Kitchen, which is why I decided to go with White, to match. As soon as it arrived, I twisted the Wallflower Fragrance Refill in the scent Black Tie until was firmly in place (haulage here) and popped the Wallflower Fragrance Plug in the Kitchen.
Black Tie smelled infinitely nicer than its Candle counterpart (purchased earlier here). In fact, Black Tie smelled wonderful (no stinky note just a men’s cologne scent)! Also, the contrast of Black and White was aesthetically appealing to me and like I said, fit right in with the theme of our Kitchen!
Salted Pretzel Milkshake
Creamy Vanilla Ice Cream, Salty Pretzel Bits, Gooey Chocolate Drizzle with Essential Oils
Salted Pretzel Milkshake was actually the main reason I’d placed this order.
I was really curious about the scent. I could’ve lived happily for the rest of my life without any of the other scents from the Summer Sippin’ Collection, but I knew I’d regret skipping Salted Pretzel Milkshake. It just sounded like it was going to smell so unique!
Not gonna’ lie, the wax was a boring shade and looked even more boring while burning lol I really liked the picture though, of what could only be a Salted Pretzel Milkshake in a mason jar, complete with a striped straw! Cute!
Unfortunately, the scent was nowhere as unique as I was expecting. In fact, it reminded me of one of those tiny 45 g/ 1.6 oz itty-bitty mini-candles (here) that I’d purchased a long time ago, in the scent Caramel Popcorn or something Popcorn.
Salted Pretzel Milkshake pretty much smelled like a concession stand at the movie theater. It smelled like burnt popcorn, with some salt and something sweet, possibly caramel, in the mix. I found the scent pleasant in small doses, but it was definitely not unique. I think I’ll be reserving it for Winter (if we survive the coronavirus pandemic) because the scent could be a bit much during hotter weather.
Coconut Milk, Creamy Vanilla, Pineapple
Coconut Water caught my eye, right from the start! I definitely didn’t need any more Candles, but Salted Pretzel Milkshake was just too unique to pass up (or so I thought) and if I was going to be placing an online order anyway, might as well get Free Shipping hence Coconut Water.
The wax was a delightful blue that looked equally lovely albeit deeper while burning! The color scheme on this baby was blue-on-blue, which I thought was quite cute! It had a reflective silver lid, just like all the Candles in the Summer Sippin’ Collection, which I thought was complimentary! Most of all, I thought the jar of Coconut Water, complete with a striped straw and a cracked Coconut, was stupid cute!
As for the scent, a lot of people compare Coconut Water to Honolulu Sun. I believe I’ve experienced several reformulations on Honolulu Sun (some good and some bad), but only as a Deep Cleansing Hand Soap, so I don’t think it would be a fair comparison.
To me, Coconut Water was a clean milky Coconut scent. Unlike my beloved Tiki Beach (here) which was a heavenly combo of Vanilla and Coconut, Coconut Water was straight Coconut. I found the scent to be delightful!
Honestly, I tend to enjoy Coconut scents in general and mostly wanted Coconut Water because of the ultra-adorable packaging (cutest out of the entire collection), but was absolutely delighted by the wonderful scent!
Coconut Water reminded me of the smell of Suntan Lotion at the Beach during Summer Vacations abroad! As such, Coconut Water has been especially handy when I’ve found myself going stir-crazy and feeling a bit restless during this lock-down (that we’re all currently experiencing), because one sniff and I’m back at the beach! Such a good purchase!
