Bath and Body Works Flash Sale Hand Soap

Crisp Morning Air Deep Cleansing Hand Soap (Fall 2019)
Marshmallow Flurries Creamy Luxe Hand Soap (Holiday 2018)
Vanilla Bean Noel Creamy Luxe Hand Soap (Holiday 2018)
Vanilla Bean Noel Gentle Foaming Hand Soap (Holiday 2018)
Moonlight Orchid Gentle Foaming Hand Soap (Fall 2019)
Aromatherapy Sleep (Lavender + Vanilla) Gentle Foaming Hand Soap (2017 release)

These are the Hand Soaps I ended up purchasing during the Flash Sale (here). I got x1 of my beloved Deep Cleansing ones and x2 of those oh-so-pretty iridescent Creamy Luxe ones and x3 Gentle Foaming ones.

All of them were purchased online and therefore unsniffed. However, Vanilla Bean Noel is a constant repurchase (I stock up every year, more or less), so I already knew what I was getting with that scent.

Half the scents I picked up this time, included a lavender note, because I was influenced by Guerlain Mon Guerlain Eau de Parfum (hauled here) and was hoping I’d stumble on something that smelled similar. I dunno’… I just wanted to branch out a little from my usual scents.

Crisp Morning Air Deep Cleansing Hand Soap

An exhilarating breath of fresh pine, juniper & juicy pear

I finally caved and picked up Crips Morning Air… to round out my collection of the Fall Traditions 2019 Collection Deep Cleansing Hand Soaps (haulage here), even though I didn’t know what it smelled like because I haven’t gotten around to using the Crisp Morning Air Wallflower (haulage here) due to Limoncello Wallflower absolutely refusing to finish!

The grey-blue color-scheme of Crisp Morning Air was just beautiful, but I absolutely detested the cartoon-y animals on the packaging (why are they wearing knit hats? ugh!)

I just love the Deep Cleansing ones sooo much!!!! I wish they offered more Deep Cleansing Hand Soaps at our local Bath & Body Works in a variety of scents, as opposed to the measly handful every now and then.

Marshmallow Flurries Creamy Luxe Hand Soap

A sugary snowflake of warm marshmallow, fresh lavender & smoked woods

I picked this up unsniffed, purely based on the notes and the stun-ning packaging! Even the name Marshmallow Flurries sounded lovely!

The camera doesn’t even begin to do this baby any justice. The iridescent liquid houses inside is such a gorgeous shade, as is the adorable iridescent glittery snowflake on the packaging itself! So stinkin’ pretty!

Vanilla Bean Noel Creamy Luxe Hand Soap

Smells like a sweet-as-sugar blend of fresh vanilla bean, warm caramel & sugar cookies

Obligatory Vanilla Bean Noel purchase.

Like I said earlier, I’ve been repurchasing this particular Holiday Scent in almost every form, every since Day 1! Vanilla Bean Noel is a forever favorite!

That said, I kinda’ wish I could’ve snagged it as a Deep Cleansing Hand Soap (couldn’t find it) instead of a Creamy Luxe Hand Soap. I mean, this one is pretty too, but I prefer practicality over aesthetics… sometimes… sorta’.

Vanilla Bean Noel Gentle Foaming Hand Soap

Smells like a sweet-as-sugar blend of fresh vanilla bean, warm caramel & sugar cookies

Another obligatory Vanilla Bean Noel purchase. Same scent, different form.

As much as I hate on Gentle Foaming Hand Soaps, they’re kinda’ slowly growing on me. I’m starting to see them as “cute” now! Also, I’ve noticed that the graphics and whatnot tend to be prettier. I mean, compare the glittery illustrations of this one to the more tame illustrations of the one above. Which one looks more festive to you?

Also, the scent is everything (in any form)!

Moonlight Orchid Gentle Foaming Hand Soap

A moody, floral blend of sweet vanilla, lavender & musk

Moody is right! This baby continuously smells different with every use!

I picked this up usniffed purely based on the notes and the sexy packaging! I mean, look at that gorgeous matte black! Ugh, I can’t even!

I’m seriously debating holding on to the bottle once the soap runs out and filling it with other Bath & Body Works Hand Soaps that come in less pretty packaging. That’s how much I adore the packaging on this thing. It just looks so cool! Even the gold accents just add to its beauty! Even the name is pretty!

Gushing over the packaging aside, based on the notes, vanilla + lavender + musk, in my mind, I was thinking this would smell similar to Guerlain Mon Guerlain Eau de Parfum (haulage here). Yeah… no.

Moonlight Orchid smelled like antiseptic bathroom cleaner at certain times (think along the lines of Dettol) with hints of something savory, possibly almonds, at other times. Sometimes it smelled medicinal. Sometimes it smelled sweet. Sometimes it smelled masculine. The scent is constantly changing and despite myself, I’m kinda’ into it! Me gusta!

Aromatherapy Sleep (Lavender + Vanilla) Gentle Foaming Hand Soap

An aromatherapy blend of essential oils inspires tranquility & helps calm your mind. Breathe deeply for best results.

Lavender Essential Oil inspires tranquility. Vanilla Absolute encourages relaxation.

I despise lavender. Let’s just get that outta’ the way.

However, after purchasing and sub-sequentially falling in love with Guerlain Mon Guerlain Eau de Parfum (haulage here), I’ve decided to revisit this whole lavender thing.

Honestly, during the Flash Sale, I’d clocked the Aromatherapy Pillow Spray in the scents Love (Jasmine + Sandalwood) and Sleep (Lavender + Vanilla) and was interested in picking them up, since they were both reduced in price.

However, I hadn’t smelled either of those scents before and I’m pretty sure Love (Jasmine + Sandalwood) only popped up locally during that specific sale. Rather than committing and getting stuck with scents I wasn’t completely sold on, I figured I’d try them out in other forms first. I snagged Love (Jasmine + Sandalwood) as a Body Wash (haulage here) and Sleep (Lavender + Vanilla) as a Hand Soap instead.

Sleep (Lavender + Vanilla) was nothing like Mon Guerlain. However, it wasn’t horrible either. The lavender was nowhere near as obnoxious as the French Lavender in the form of Jar Candles from the Provence Collection (from several years back). I could not only stomach it, but also was kinda’ was into it. That’s probably due to the inclusion of vanilla though.

As you can see, it’s almost halfway done (forgot to take a pic for this post before I started using it). If I use this thing consecutively, the scent sorta’ grows on me. However, I’ve been alternating between using Sleep (Lavender + Vanilla) and Moonlight Orchid and of the two, I prefer the latter. That said, I probably wouldn’t repurchase it either lol

The packaging was meh and while I don’t do florals, Sleep (Lavender + Vanilla) was not terrible. And with that ringing endorsement, I’ll end this post.
