The Autumn Perfumes Exhibition took place at Mishref Fair Grounds (Halls 5,6,7,8) during October 24 and was meant to end on November 6, but was extended to November 9 (because… weekend).
I hit up the Makeup Revolution counter, hoping to purchase the newer Conceal & Hydrate Concealer, but they only had the older Conceal & Define Concealer. They didn’t have any of the newer Tasty Eyeshadow Palettes either.
Just as I was about to leave, I clocked some cute rose gold-y Makeup Brush Sets and was told that they were on sale hence dis.
Makeup Revolution Precision Eye Set
– Pro Precision Round Blending Eye Brush
The must have tool allowing for precise and flawless application with flexible movement. Smoothly blends powder and cream eyeshadows.
– Pro Precision Eyeliner Brush
The must have flexible tool allowing for precise application of eye liner. With the narrow shape, this brush allows a firm and precise application of eye liner.
– Pro Precision Oval Eye Brush
The must have tool allowing for precise and flawless application with flexible movement. Smoothly blends powder and cream eye shadows.
Believe it or not, I’ve never owned any of those toothbrush-y type of makeup brushes before (they looked stupid, honestly). However, it’s been years since brands started releasing them and they’re still around (from high-end to drugstore, you can find a set literally anywhere) so I figured now was as good a time as any to give ’em a try.
I was mostly interested in the Eyeliner Brush because it seemed like it’d come in handy for some clean-up work in the brow area (to define the brows) like blending out concealer. The Oval Eye Brush seemed like it could be put to good use as well. The Round Blending Eye Brush though… not a clue what to do with it.
I believe the Makeup Revolution Precision Eye Set was originally around the KD 9 mark but was reduced to KD 6/500 (don’t quote me on that).
Makeup Revolution Ultra Metals Go Contouring Brush Set
Makeup application on the go! Includes 3 amazing face brushes complete with a stunning rose gold design and made with our finest synthetic hair. Perfect for cream and liquid contouring as well as foundation and concealer and powder products. Includes our soft effect brush bag, perfect for travelling.
I’ve had my eye on a near identical Contouring Brush Set from Sephora, since last year (dis). Both sets were Contouring Brush Sets and said so in the name. Both sets came with x3 travel-size brushes and both came with little makeup bag to store the brushes in. Even both sets of brushes were the same!
However, the Sephora Contouring Brush Set retails for KD 15/250 whereas the Makeup Revolution Ultra Metals Go Contouring Brush Set retails for somewhere around the KD 12 mark and was now reduced to KD 7/500 during the sale. It was an obvious choice.
The receipt only shows the reduced prices.
If you’re interested, one of the places I’ve spotted Makeup Revolution was at the Mishref Co-Op (dis).
So cute! I can’t wait to use these babies ♥
