Lastly but certainly not least were the Candles and Wallflower Bulbs I picked up during The Big Sale. Some were purchased in-store and the ones I couldn’t find in-store were purchased online.
I picked up x14 large 3-wick Candles and x2 Jar Candles and x3 Wallflower Bulbs. I haven’t started burning any of them just yet because ironically, for the past two weeks I’ve been sick with the flu (hence lack of new posts lol)
3-Wick Candles were reduced from KD 8 each to KD 4 each
Single Wick Jar Candles were reduced from KD 6 – KD 5 each to KD 2/500 each
Wallflower Refill Bulbs were reduced from KD 2/250 each to KD 1 each
Fall Candles (2018)
At first, I just filled up my online cart with all the Fall Candles (except for Sweater Weather) because based on the notes, they sounded like they’d smell great, especially once the weather cooled down! However, in-store I narrowed it down to just these three.
A quick online search shed light on the fact these were from the 2018 Fall Collection (along with Autumn Nights Shower Gel and Pumpkin Picking Shower Gel). With that being said, the 2019 Fall Collection recently popped up online (locally), in case you’re interested.
Cider Lane Candle (Autumn Essence Collection)
Warm Caramel, Granny Smith Apple, Dark Brown Sugar, Ground Clove
Create an autumn-perfect ambience with the Perfect 3-Wick Candle! Topped with a decorative lid.
All the Candles in the Autumn Essence Collection had some form of leaves on their jars, which I imagine would look so beautiful while burning!
Cider Lane was an appropriately Autumnal name (makes me think of something out of Anne of Green Gables lol), as were the reflective orange leaves on the jar, to denote Fall. Even the wax itself was the color of Apple Pie lol I liked that the lid was not the usual reflective silver but I’m not too fussed about lids, honestly. Over-all, Cider Lane looked nice and decorative!
As for the scent, my God! This smelled amazing! Cider Lane smelled like Green Apples, wonderful, wonderful Granny Smith Apples! Not sure if it was because of the Caramel or Brown Sugar or Clove, or all three, but I could smell something cinnamon-y in there (ugh). Thankfully, it was faint and completely overpowered by the scent of Green Apples! Love!
I added Cider Lane to my online shopping cart but ended up purchasing it in-store.
Evening Hearth Candle (Autumn Essence Collection)
Cedar Kindling, Mug of Warm Cider, Cozy Cashmere Throw
This Perfect 3-Wick Candle will inspire you to cozy up by the fire with a fuzzy blanket & your favorite hot beverage. Topped with a decorative lid.
B&BW back at it again with making up stuff for their notes lol That said, it sounded like it was going to smell ah-mazing! Even the name Evening Hearth sounded delightful! Name and notes aside, I was already obsessed with beautiful dark blue wax! The golden leaves on the jar was a nice contrast against the dark blue and seemed somewhat… “Christmas-y”. I liked that the lid wasn’t the more common reflective silver. Over-all, the whole thing was not my most favorite design, but that blue looked stun-ning, almost regal!
In any case, the scent seemed oddly familiar, like a traditional Arabic scent. I suppose if I had to narrow it down, I’d say it smelled like Mastic… with a smoky element! Personally, I love certain Wood Notes, especially Smoky Wood Notes! All in all, Evening Hearth was a very interesting yet not unpleasant scent and I can’t wait to burn it during “Winter”.
I actually added Evening Hearth to my online shopping cart but saw it in-store and even asked the unhelpful sales assistant to add it to the rest of my growing pile of 3-wick Candles at the counter (they were getting to be too heavy to carry around in their flimsy tote) but I guess she didn’t and I sorta’ forgot about it, until I got back home and couldn’t find it. I even double-checked the receipt but it wasn’t even on there.
In the end, I just went ahead and ordered it online.
Marshmallow Fireside Candle (Friendly Forest Collection)
Toasted Marshmallow, Smoldering Woods, Fire Roasted Vanilla, Crystallized Amber
Make any space a little cozier with the Perfect 3-Wick Candle! Topped with a decorative lid.
Ah, Marshmallow Fireside! They re-release this baby every year! It’s a classic and for a darn good reason too! In fact, I’ve actually purchased it in the form of the cutest teeny tiny candle, several years back (haulage here).
Sadly, the packaging for the 2018 version is nowhere near as cute! Honestly, I hated the cartoon-y packaging of all the Candles in the Friendly Forest Collection. I like the color of the jar, but that’s pretty much it. The lid is the usual reflective silver, which doesn’t even match the jar, but that’s not as big of a deal. All those different colors on the packaging and the owl (wearing a tie) really turned me off. Over-all, the whole thing looked ugly to me.
As for the scent, which as I said gets re-released every year, some versions happen to be more potent than others, but it literally smelled like S’mores, which I love! I spotted this baby online and decided not to get it (because of the ugly packaging) but quickly changed my mind once I gave it a sniff in-store. It’s definitely a Gourmand, but since it was released in one of the Fall Collections, I decided to just include it with the rest of the Fall 2018 Candles.
As I said, this was the 2018 version, but the 2019 version of Marmshallow Fireside just popped up online recently, if you’re interested.
Gourmand Candles (2019)
These were a mish-mash from several different collections. I forgot to include one more, but I did include it below (where I go through each of them individually). Some of these can be a bit overwhelming and wee bit headache-y, which is why I prefer burning them during the dead of Winter, to make my home smell all warm and cozy and yummy! Toffee, Coffee and Strawberry! I simply adore my Gourmands!
Butterscotch Toffee Candle (The Modern Farmhouse Collection)
English Toffee, Buttery Caramel, Touch of Bourbon
Calling all sweet tooths: this candle confection looks as good as it smells. Topped with a decorative lid.
The Modern Farmhouse Collection consisted of Black & White Candles with different geometric designs on each Candle! I believe the collection was released early on in the year.
In the photos, Butterscotch Toffee looked all Aztec-inspired and quite cool! In reality, it had a ton of scratches and looked much less impressive. Also, the sticker was semi-transparent (which I tend to find… cheap). The lid which had White Barn embossed on it, was not the usual reflective silver. Over-all, it looked okay, I suppose.
Based on the notes, I was guessing Butterscotch Toffee could go one of two ways, either smell incredibly delicious or smell sickly sweet. As expected, it did smell overwhelming sweet (unlit), but I kinda’ liked that! I live for Rum-scented anything and everything, but Bourbon-scented everything is quickly become a second favorite! Anyways, I figured Butterscotch Toffee would be ideal for burning during the dead of Winter, particularly in a much larger space, such as the Family Living Room!
I spotted it online but figured I should give it a sniff in-store before purchasing it. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find it in-store, so I had to purchase it online, therefore making a it a “blind-buy”.
Paris Cafe Candle (Earthenware Collection)
Rich Roasted Coffee, Sugared Brioche, Vanilla Crème with Essential Oils
Go from living room to Parisian café with this coffee lover’s must-have. Candle comes topped with a decorative lid.
Earthenware Collection consisted of Candles with packaging meant to mimic earthenware, I suppose. In my opinion, this collection should’ve been named The Modern Farmhouse Collection instead. I believe the collection was released early on in the year as well.
I’ve actually purchased Paris Cafe last year (haulage here) and I much prefer that packaging over this one. The packaging on this version did nothing for me and worse still, was semi-transparent. Even though this was a White Barn Candle, the lid had Bath & Body Works embossed on it. Over-all, the whole thing was not my most favorite design but I must admit, it did look interesting!
Paris Cafe smelled incredible! If you love coffee-scented anything, you need to give this baby a sniff! It’s Coffee on steroids and smells intoxicating! It’s so strong that I actually have to store it separately from all my other Candles because the scent seeps through… unlit! I love Paris Cafe and can’t say enough good things about it!
I saw it online and ignored it but once I spotted it in-store and gave it a sniff (to see if it was just as potent as my previous one), that was it! I had to purchase it!
Strawberry Pound Cake Candle (In Bloom Collection)
Fresh Strawberries, Golden Shortcake, Whipped Cream
Nothing beats this sweet, airy treat! Candle comes topped with a decorative lid.
In Bloom Collection consisted of Hand Soaps and Candles in a variety of floral packaging and some with quotes like “Mom, you’re amazing.” and “Best. Mom. Ever” and things like that for… you guessed it, Mother’s Day! Strawberry Pound Cake was part of the floral Mother’s Day release, partially shown in my Spotted at Bath and Body Works Post: March Edition (linkage here and enlarged photo in the upper left corner here)
The packaging was so girly and adorable! I love that the jar was pink! I really liked the pretty lid too! I could live without the florals on the sticker, but the pretty pink more than made up for that. Over-all, Strawberry Pound Cake looked oh-so-cute!
It smelled less like Strawberry Pound Cake and more like Strawberry Wafers though. It did smell sweet, but less of a candy sweet and more of a fruity sweet, if that makes any sense. I dunno’, I just really enjoy the scent! Best of all, I feel like I can burn Strawberry Pound Cake year-round (not regulate it for any one specific “season”… not that we have many of those in Kuwait, aside from 2-3 months of Winter and Summer for the rest of the year lol)
I added it to my online shopping cart, looked for it in-store, couldn’t find it, ended up ordering it online (another “blind buy”).
Sweet Tiramisu Candle (Mediterranean Market Collection)
Whipped Sweet Cream, Vanilla Sponge Cake, Fresh Brewed Italian Espresso with Essential Oils
Delizioso! This sweet & creamy candle’s the best Italian pick-me-up. Topped with a decorative lid.
Mediterranean Market Collection consisted of Italian-inspired scents and correlating packaging. It was released world-wide during Summer.
During the sale, I snatched up Mediterranean Blue Water Shower Gel (haulage here) and Turquoise Waters Hand Cream (haulage here) x4 Summer Tiramisu Creamy Luxe Hand Soaps (haulage here) and x4 Summer Tiramisu Gentle Foaming Hand Soaps (haulage here) and x4 Summer Tiramisu PocketBacs (haulage here). In my defense, everything I bought smelled fantastic!
I must say, unlike the rest of the pretty products in the Mediterranean Market Collection, aside from the pretty lid, the packaging for Sweet Tiramisu was extremely disappointing! It had a quote on the front that read “Ciao, Bella!” and a depiction of that insipid Vespa. Over-all, the whole thing looked quite plain and boring!
Thankfully, the scent was absolutely gorgeous! Sweet Tiramisu had that invigorating smell of Coffee, not unlike Paris Cafe! Not quite as powerful (I don’t have to isolate it from the rest of the Candles lol) but extremely similar. I’m very happy with it!
So I spotted it online during the sale, but couldn’t find it in-store. However, after falling in love with Summer Tiramisu Hand Soaps (haulage here), I knew I had to get my hands on the Sweet Tiramisu Candle, which is why I ordered it online.
Full disclosure, if Paris Cafe and Sweet Tiramisu had prettier packaging, I probably would’ve purchased more of each.
Fresh-y Candles (2019)
As much as I adore my Gourmands, I also love my “Freshies”! They’re perfect during the hotter months, particularly in smaller enclosed spaces, such as an at-home Office or Laundry Room or Bathroom or Pool House or Beach House, or wherever else you prefer!
Personally, I find “Freshies” wonderfully uplifting and they always seem to put me in a more productive mood!
Mineral Springs Candle (Weave It In Collection)
Soothing Mineral Water, Night Blooming Lily, Dash of Lime
Pamper yourself with this spa-worthy candle topped with a decorative lid!
Weave It In Collection (such an unfortunate name for a collection lol) consisted of Candles that were meant to look like they were made out of “woven” material. This collection was released early on in the year and I actually took a photo of the display in my Spotted at Bath and Body Works Post: March Edition (linkage here and enlarged photo here). The Candles might look darker in the photo due to the lighting in-store.
As I said in my previous post (dis) the packaging did seem a bit lack-luster. The wax was a plain color. The lid was the usual plain reflective silver. The design did not look like woven anything. It looked more like a cartoon-y depiction of woven material. It might have looked better if it the colors chosen were more muted or darker or something. Over-all, I wasn’t the biggest fan of the packaging.
The scent however, was sooo sexy! It was a total “hot guy” smell, which is what I used to call Mahogany Teakwood before they amped up the scent to where it’s now too intense (both lit and unlit). Mineral Springs smelled way less intense and therefore much more tolerable. I thought it smelled pleasant the first time I smelled it (back in March) and after smelling it in-store again, several months later, I still stand by that. This would smell lovely while burning in a small private library or in an entryway or hallway or even in a guest bathroom! Spa-worthy indeed!
So I skipped it when it was first released (back in March) and saw it online during the sale and ignored it and sniffed it in-store (went back to it no less than three times) but never purchased it… until I went back home and finally bit the bullet by ordering it online. I’m so glad I did!
Oddly enough, while the rest of the 3-wick Candles had been reduced from KD 8 to KD 4 during the sale, Mineral Springs was reduced from KD 8 to KD 3/250
Bergamot Waters Candle (Signature Collection)
Sparkling Bergamot, Pristine Blue Waters, Sugared Citrus, Creamy Sandalwood
I believe newer Hand Soaps and Candles from this collection were released towards the very beginning of this year. That said, you can pick them up at any time, because as with most scents from the Signature Collection, they were not Limited Edition.
I’ve actually purchased a Bergamot Waters Candle years ago (haulage here) and a Bergamot Waters Room Spray a few months ago (haulage here) more recently x2 Bergamot Waters Gentle Foaming Hand Soaps during the sale (haulage here).
While the packaging might be a bit… simple, I quite like it! I think it looks quite elegant and understated! The jar is a beautiful shade of blue which compliments the white wax beautifully! The lid is the usual reflective silver and has White Barn embossed on it, but again, I find that it compliments the blue jar beautifully! I suppose I just prefer the look of tinted jars lol Over-all, I found the packaging aesthetically appealing!
There are some scents that I don’t mind smelling, year-round. Bergamot Waters is one of those scent! In fact, had it been available, I would’ve loved to have purchased it as a Shower Gel and Fragrance Mist and Hair Mist and Body Lotion and heck, even a Lip Balm! It’s just that great! Sadly, I believe Bergamot Waters is only available in the form of Hand Soaps and Candles and Room Sprays and Wallflower Bulbs.
I purchased this baby in-store.
Bergamot Waters Jar Candle (Signature Collection)
Sparkling Bergamot, Sugared Citrus, Creamy Sandalwood with Essential Oils
I loved Bergamot Waters so much that I even picked it up as a Jar Candle!
As you can see, the packaging was much less exciting than the 3-wick Candle version, but in this case, the sublime scent was more important to me than the packaging.
In the interest of full disclosure, I actually purchased this baby to stash at my desk at work.
Going Places Collection (2019)
Every year, B&BW come out with a Destination Candle Collection. The packaging and the names of the 3-wick Candles and even the name of the collection itself, differs from year to year. I posted about last year’s collection in my Spotted at Bath and Body Works Post: November Edition (linkage here and enlarged photo here). Personally, I’m a huge fan of the Destination Candles, particularly London (Tea & Lemon), which luckily for me is one of the scents that get re-released every year!
The Destination Collection for this year was called Going Places and had absolutely delightful packaging! Unfortunately, several of the scents from the Going Places Candle Collection did not make it to Kuwait.
New Orleans (Bow Ties and Bourbon) which had the coolest packaging and New York City (Champagne Toast) which was all red and pretty cool too and Washington D.C. (Cherry Blossom) which was all pink and cute, were some of the ones that did not make it to Kuwait, sadly. Meanwhile, Summer Boardwalk did make it to Kuwait, despite smelling horrible (like burnt popcorn) and being the only Candle in this collection that wasn’t an actual City.
In any case, the creative packaging was a huge reason for my purchasing of several Candles from the Going Places Candle Collection… more so than the actual scents! Each Candle had its own color-scheme, with well-known landmarks of that “Destination” depicted on the packaging, and the letters of the name of each “Destination” was transparent, giving you a peek at the colored wax inside! So cool!
All of them had different colored wax in pretty pastel-y shades and they all shared the same glossy black lid! They all had accents of foiled gold on their packaging as well. I kinda’ wish they didn’t have the postage stamp sticker with the name of the Candle slapped on the front though, because it covered up the really cool peekaboo effect of the cut-out letters. Packaging aside, some of the scents in this collection were quite unique! I spotted them online but purchased them in-store.
White Caramel Cold Brew (Seattle) Jar Candle (Going Places Candle Collection)
Cold Brew Coffee, Vanilla Sweet Cream, Warm Caramel Drizzle with Essential Oils
Inspired by a local café in Seattle. Candle comes topped with a decorative lid.
As I said, several of the 3-wick Candles from the Going Places Candle Collection did not make it to Kuwait. That said, I’m not sure if they were already Sold Out by the time I got there, but several of the Single Wick Jar Candles from the Going Places Candle Collection were not available either (both in-store and online).
From the Jar Candles, I could only find Seattle (White Caramel Cold Brew) and San Francisco (Endless Weekend). I’ve purchased the 3-Wick Candle version of Endless Weekend ages ago (haulage here) and wasn’t interested in repurchasing that scent again.
I’d already grabbed the 3-Wick Candle version of Seattle (White Caramel Cold Brew) but for lack of options (Seattle is my least favorite City and I absolutely despise the Seattle Seahawks), I picked up the Single Wick Jar Candle too. Between the two scents that were available in-store, this was the lesser of two evils.
As you can see, the Jar Candle version did not have the peek-a-boo cut-out letters. It did have the iconic Seattle Space Needle (the only reason I know that is from watching so much Grey’s Anatomy lol) and The Seattle Great Wheel and a bunch of High-Rise Buildings that make up the Seattle Skyline and Mount Rainier in the background. They even had a little Charter Plane which I’m assuming is because Seattle might offer “scenic tours” via private Charter Plane.
I liked the fact that although it was only a small Jar Candle, they went through the trouble of giving it “special” packaging and that it was quite detailed too! Also, the baby blue wax looked pretty cute!
Again, in the interested of full disclosure, this was another purchase for my desk at work.
White Caramel Cold Brew (Seattle) Candle (Going Places Candle Collection)
Cold Brew Coffee, Vanilla Sweet Cream, Warm Caramel Drizzle with Essential Oils
Inspired by a local café in Seattle. Candle comes topped with a decorative lid.
Despite my prejudice towards Seattle (literally, the only City in the entire U.S. of A that I do not like), I really like how its landmarks were depicted on the packaging and I simply adore the cut-out letters that gave us a peek at the pretty seafoam green wax! If the packaging wasn’t so cool, I would’ve just stuck with the Jar Candle version and skipped the 3-Wick Candle version. However, the packaging was just too good to pass up!
White Caramel Cold Brew smelled like my favorite drink at Starbucks; Venti White Mocha (hot) with extra Vanilla and extra Caramel (essentially, diabetes in a cup)! I mean, the description pretty much nailed it! This baby smelled so sweet, the scent alone practically gave me a toothache lol Since it was yet another one of those overwhelmingly sweet scents though, it’ll most definitely be reserved for Wintertime!
Sun-Washed Citrus (Barcelona) Candle (Going Places Candle Collection)
Sorrento Lemons, Citron, Agave Nectar with Essential Oils
Step out of your office, light this candle & bask in the Barcelonian sun. Candle comes topped with decorative lid.
The packaging had the La Sagrada Familia Church and the Casa Batlló and the W Barcelona Hotel and even a bunch of Storks shown on it! The golden squiggles might possibly denote Park Güell too. Honestly, I don’t know because I’ve never been, but there’s plenty of architectural structures clearly designed by Gaudi depicted on the packaging! The cut-out letters that spell out Barcelona, gave us a peek at the pretty blue wax inside! Again, I simply adored the packaging!
I purchased Sun-Washed Citrus Deep Cleansing Hand Soap during the summer (haulage here) and while I wasn’t obsessed with the scent, I did enjoy using it up. I didn’t notice any differences in the scent from Hand Soap to Candle. They both smelled like Orange Starburst, which is why I think I’ll be burning Barcelona exclusively in the Kitchen.
Tea & Lemon (London) Candle (Going Places Candle Collection)
Perfect Afternoon Tea, Sparkling Sugar, Lemon Zest
This candle’s like brewing the perfect cup of tea. Comes topped with a decorative lid.
It had Big Ben and the London Eye and a red Telephone Booth (well, it’s not red but you know…) and a British Bulldog all depicted on the packaging. The cut-out letters that spell out London gave us a peek at the yellow wax inside. I mean, the whole thing was just so quintessentially British (kinda’ reminds me of my H&M London T-shirt) and as a self-certified Anglophile, I am liv-ving for it!
I’ve actually purchased London (Tea & Lemon) Candle years ago (haulage here). It’s one of the scents that they continuously re-release every year, either as part of the Destination Candle Collection or in a different collection. Since purchasing it, I’ve spotted it (different packaging) quite a few times already! The fact that the scent for this particular Candle was actually Tea, was deliciously appropriate!
I cannot even begin to explain to you how much joy this scent brings me! It’s clearly a Lemon-y scent, but the Tea cuts down the sharpness, while the Sugar makes it smell less like a cleaning products and more like an edible product. To me, it smells like being at an expensive Spa! London (Tea & Lemon) is definitely the one I’ll be burning on a night in, with a Face Mask slapped on, while curled up on my couch with my darling Kindle! The scent might not be everyone’s cup of Tea (heehee), but it just makes me so very, very happy!
Pizzeria (Rome) Candle (Going Places Candle Collection)
Fresh Garden Basil, Tomato Sauce, Warm Crusty Pizza Dough with Essential Oils
This mouthwatering candle basically turns your place into a pizza parlor. (Oh yes, it smells like the real deal.) Topped with a decorative lid.
Finally, we come to Rome! First of all, this baby has got the Foro di Cesare (Forum of Ceasar) and the Equestrian Statue of Marcus Aurelius and the Colosseum and that insipid Vespa (again!) and the Arch of Constantine shown on the packaging. Second, the wax is a gorgeous lavender, that we can see peeking out through the cut-out letters! Other than that awful Vespa, I love, love, love everything about the packaging!
I mean, my favorite team was Roma after all (well mostly when Totti and De Rossi were there) and I do so enjoy movies and shows that give me goosebumps like 300 and Spartacus: Blood and Sand and Rome and Gladiator and the like! There are many, many more reasons for it (that I won’t list), but I feel a strong affinity to all things Rome!
Delightful packaging aside, Rome was one of the rarest Candles I’ve ever come across! It was a Savory Candle (I truly hope B&BW continue to release more of those) and it legit smelled like Pizza!!!! The Basil was wonderfully pungent while the Tomato Sauce scent was practically mouthwatering! Imagine burning this in your home and having the entire place smell like a delicious Pizza!
This is one of those times where I actually feel grateful to be living in Kuwait! While the Rome Candle went out of stock almost instantly worldwide, I saw a large stack in-store, chilling all nonchalant in a corner! It seems people in Kuwait haven’t been clued in to the fact that Rome was a rare find! In fact, it was so unique, I couldn’t help but grab two! Scent-wise and packaging-wise, I was utterly obsessed with Rome (Pizzeria)!
Going Places Candle Collection
How adorbs to these babies look ♥
Honestly, I could’ve lived without Seattle (since I was already stocked up on Gourmands) and Barcelona (wasn’t all that unique of a scent), but I couldn’t and didn’t pass them up thanks to the delightful packaging of the Going Places Candle Collection!
London is a forever favorite (which I will continue to repurchase on and off in the upcoming years), while Rome was by far the coolest 3-wick Candle in Bath&Body Work’s entire history!
This year’s Destination Candle Collection was a total win (in my eyes)!
Single Wick Candles and Wallflowers
The larger 3-wick Candles held the place of honor of being displayed on the larger tables in the middle of the store, and the smaller single wick Jar Candles were designated to wall shelves, along with the Concentrated Room Sprays and Wallflower Bulbs.
While there was a larger variety of Jar Candles and Wallflowers Bulbs online, I only spotted a handful of scents in-store. As such, although I’d already set aside their 3-wick Candle counterparts to purchase in-store, I decided to get their doubles, but as the smaller single wick Jar Candles.
Honestly, if they hadn’t been reduced to 50% off, I never would’ve purchased the Jar Candles.
Bergamot Waters (Signature Collection)
The 3-wick Candle will be designated for home use, while the single wick Jar Candle will be for my desk at work.
White Caramel Cold Brew (Going Places Candle Collection)
The 3-wick Candle will be burning in my home during Winter, while the single wick Jar Candle will be burned during work hours… at work.
It’s been a minute since I last purchased some Wallflowers and I figured what better time than during the sale! For starter, these things were infinitely less fussy than Candles. You just plug them in and forget about them (no need to babysit them) lol Also, they were less of a commitment than say, a Candle. Also, each scent came in a different color, which was nice.
With that being said, Wallflowers were nowhere near as powerful as a Candle. They might scent up a poorly ventilated enclosed space, but they definitely wouldn’t do much in a larger, more open space. For example, let’s say you’ve got an Open-Plan Office and you plug in a Wallflower at your desk or cubicle or whatever, the scent will not reach the person in the cubicle next to you. Wallflowers only form a small scent bubble around the area where they’re plugged in.
Lastly, unlike Candles where their scent can linger ever after you blow them out, the scent released from a Wallflower is completely gone (does not linger) almost as soon as you turn the thing off.
Limoncello Wallflower (Signature Collection)
Bright Lemon Zest, Sorrento Lemons, Cane Sugar
I already knew what to expect since I’ve purchased Limoncello as an adorable itty bitty Candle from the Italian Piazza Collection several years back (haulage here) and as a Nourishing Hand Soap with delightful packaging last year (haulage here) and more recently as a Creamy Luxe Hand Soap during this sale (haulage here).
As you can discern from the name Limoncello, this baby was an extremely sweet take on Lemons! There was nothing sharp or “zesty” about this scent. It smelled purely like candy, albeit lemon-scented candy. Personally, I tend to enjoy that sort of scent, so I was quite pleased with this thing!
We’ve got an an electric socket conveniently placed right outside the door to the main Kitchen at home and that’s precisely the spot I placed Limoncello! I figured it would be ideal for combating some of the more unpleasant scents (onions, fish, fried anything, etc…) that may seep in from the Kitchen every time someone swung open the door.
If you’re interested, Limoncello is currently available for purchase online and in-store in the forms of a 3-wick Candle and a Wallflower Refill (as shown) and two different variations of Gentle Foaming Hand Soaps and a Creamy Luxe Hand Soap (haulage here) and two different variations of Concentrated Room Sprays and a Foaming Hand Sanitizer and a PocketBac Hand Sanitizer and a Hand Cream.
Crisp Morning Air Wallflower (Wild Wonder Collection)
Crisp Breeze, White Oak, Golden Amber Wood
I’ve never tried nor even heard of Crisp Morning Air but based on the notes, it sounded right up my alley. It’s currently available for purchase with no less than three different variations as 3-wick Candles and two different variations as single wick Jar Candles and two different variations of Wallflower Refills (one of which is shown above) and three different variations of Gentle Foaming Hand Soaps and a Deep Cleansing Hand Soap and a PocketBac and a Hand Cream.
I didn’t want to spend even more money on something I was unsure about scent-wise and honestly, all those choices were a bit overwhelming. So I decided to go for a Wallflower. If I end up enjoying the scent, I might go back and revisit the other forms.
For now, I’ve got Limoncello plugged in (right outside the door to the Kitchen) and I can’t find any of my other Wallflowers to plug another scent in (either I gifted them to people or I incorrectly remember owning more than I actually do lol). Basically, I’m saying I’ve still got no clue what “Crisp Morning Air” is supposed to smell like (I don’t believe I even remembered to give it a sniff in-store lol)
Gingham Wallflower (Signature Collection)
A fresh blend of bright florals & a hint of sweet citrus. Notes of blue freesia, white peach & fresh clementine.
Fresh. Vibrant. Happy. Our Gingham Wallflowers Fragrance Refill is a celebration of everything you love about Bath & Body Works.
Gingham was first released in Kuwait, alongside the launch of the Bath & Body Works website (previewed here).
Gingham was available as an Eau de Parfum and Mini Perfume Spray and Fragrance Mist and Travel Size Fragrance Mist and Diamond Shimmer Mist (Fragrance Mist but with shimmer) and Shower Gel and Travel Size Shower Gel and Body Scrub (the kind I don’t like) and Body Cream (the kind that starts smelling funky really quick) and Travel Size Body Cream and Body Lotion and Hand Cream and Wallflower Refill (as shown) and 3-wick Candle.
I’ve actually been meaning to purchase something from the Gingham Collection just to try out the scent (which seemed too floral and “iffy” for me), but didn’t think it was worth paying full price. As expected, nothing from the Gingham Collection was included in the sale, other than the Hand Cream (KD 1) and Wallflower Refill (KD 1). Since I’d already grabbed a whole bunch of Hand Creams in the sale (haulage here), by process of elimination, that left only the Wallflower.
For only KD 1, it was a more cost effective way to figure out if I actually enjoyed the scent and was interested in purchasing it at a later time, as a Shower Gel or Candle or whatever.
As much as I complain about Bath&Body Works, I genuinely love their 3-wick Candles and their Deep Cleansing Hand Soaps! Heck, I just love things that smell good!
