Pottery Barn Teen Haul

So this was my first and last time at Pottery Barn Teen, because I just blew KD 117 ($384.79)…

… on Blankets and Towels.

I had been doing so well at “budgeting” too, but now I’ve gone and messed that up.

Despite the fact that I’m a middle-aged woman (I turn 35 in December) and nowhere near… teen, I felt that it would be a good idea to take a quick peek inside Pottery Barn Teen.

Clearly, that was a bad idea, because apparently I’ve got zero willpower and just can’t resist anything that I deem to be cute and man-oh-man was this stuff cuuute!

The Supernova Printed Duvet Cover and Sham brings out of this world style to your bed! A dreamy, photoreal print combined with a soft pure cotton percale fabrication makes this a must-have for your sleep space.

– Made of 100% cotton percale. A percale weave is noticeably denser and wears well over time.
Duvet Cover and Sham reverse to a solid color.
Duvet Cover has interior ties and a button closure.
Sham has a center closure.
Duvet Cover and Sham and Insert sold separately.
– Machine wash.

Sham Standard: 26″ wide x 20″ high

– Tumble dry.
– Warm iron as needed.

I was taking a quick lap around the store when I spotted a display (similar to the above), featuring the Supernova Duvet Cover and Sham (Blanket and Pillows). I mean, is that not the cutest?

The Supernova Print totally reminded me of the print on the ColourPop Holiday 2017 Collection (haulage here)!

I called over one of the sales assistants and told him that I’d like “that“, while pointing at the display. He said “You mean the Duvet Cover and Sham?” and despite not fully knowing what either of those two words actually meant, I agreed!

Pottery Barn Teen Supernova Printed Girls Duvet Cover (Queen Size) retails for KD 39

I mean it retails for $109 on the official Pottery Barn website and yet I had to pay around $128… but same thing right? :/

Here’s how bad I am at being a proper adult.

So I go, “No, no. I’d like the Blanket, please”.

He tries to explain to me that what I kept calling a Blanket was actually a Duvet Cover.

“But the one on the bed is puffy…?”

“Yes, that’s because it has an Insert. Would you like to buy an Insert too?”

“How much does it cost?”

“Same as the Duvet Cover, KD 39. Would you like to buy it?”

“I guess…”

Essential Duvet Insert retails for KD 39

The Essential Inserts are our entry-level and simple inserts with 200-gram weight 100% polyester fill. It’s end-to-end construction minimized shifting of fill to prevent cold spots for consistent comfort.

– Each Duvet Insert has corner loops help to tie Duvet Covers and keep them in place.
Duvet Inserts are finished with box stitching and double stitching to keep fill in place.
Essential Duvet Insert is 200-thread count.
– Hypoallergenic

Essential Duvet Insert Full/Queen: 88″ wide x 90″ long

– Machine wash in warm water, gentle cycle.
– Tumble dry on low heat; remove promptly when dry.
– Stop dryer frequently to turn center out to ensure center dries and to avoid scorching.
– Avoid excessive heat as fabric may scorch.
– Do not dry-clean.
– When not in use store in a ventilated bag.

Again, this retailed for $109 on the official Pottery Barn website but I had to pay around $128 for it, because… Kuwait.

They had all kinds of Duvet Inserts online, from Stay Chill Inserts with 100% HydroCool polyester fill to Stay Warm Inserts to Stay Pure Inserts to Stay Fresh Inserts to Micromax Inserts to Classic Down Inserts and Premium Down Inserts. However, Kuwait being Kuwait, they only sold the most basic of basics, the Essential Duvet Insert.

This thing was so big and so heavy that I kept having to stop every 10 seconds to readjust, because my fingers hurt so much from carrying the plastic bag that it was in lol

x2 Pottery Barn Teen Supernova Printed Sham retail for KD 10 each

These retail up on the Pottery Barn website for $28.50 each but I payed $32.90 each

So I go, “I’d like the Pillows too, please”

He goes “Sham.”

Sham. How many would you like?”

“Just two, thanks”.

“Would you like Inserts for them too?”

“No… thanks”.

Somewhere around the store, I clocked these Towels which I thought were pretty cute too! I could only find the smallest size (Washcloth) and largest size (Bath Towel), but would’ve loved to have picked up the full set of 3. Also, apparently online, they gave you the option to monogram and personalize the towels. Naturally, we don’t get that, because… Kuwait.

I’m pretty sure the sales assistant thinks I’m an airhead and also I’m not happy with how much I spent and also I’m not a teen. That’s why this was my first and last time in Pottery Barn Teen! Watch me say that, but go back again in a week lol

Still, I’m super excited about all the cuteness! So, so, so cute!
