Nordstrom Hair Care Haul (June)

Mah baybehz ♥

For whatever reason, I’m kinda’ obsessed with Hair Care products (for the moment)! Unfortunately in Kuwait, we don’t seem to have much of a variety. They’ll sell a certain product during it’s initial release (albeit several months, or even a year or two, later than the rest of the world), make you fall in love with it and suddenly stop bringing it over. It’s happened time and time again, with Shampoos and Conditioners and Hair Masks and Hair Styling Products and the list goes on!

Batiste A Hint of Colour Medium & Brunette Dry Shampoo, gone!
Boots Expert Build Up Removal Shampoo, gone!
Garnier Ultra Doux 5 Plants Vitalizing Shampoo, gone!
Garnier Whole Blends Coconut Water & Vanilla Milk Hydrating Mask, gone!

Gone, girl, gone, and those are just off the top of my head. I’m sure there’s way more. That said, they’re probably still in production abroad, but local distributors just stop bringing them over, for some reason, which is pretty annoying.

Certain local Hair Salons will have covet-worthy Hair Care Products readily available for purchase, but I’ve got trust issues with anyone that speaks Arabic (I speak Arabic so I don’t even trust myself lol), because none of that stuff is ever sealed, so how do I know it hasn’t been tampered with, or refilled with mostly water or worse? Also, there’s never any expiration dates and who knows how long that stuff has been sitting out on those shelves on display, probably expired ten times over by now, which is why I refrain from purchasing, unless it’s from those Hair Salons that cater to Americans and other foreigners (further out from the city), which isn’t practical for me, because… distance.

In comes Nordstrom to the rescue! Not only do they have all kinds of Hair Care, from all kinds of brands, but they also have them in all kinds of sizes (ranging from extra-large to travel-size)! Best of all, I can order all those things, from the comfort of my own home!

Initially, I wanted… everything! I even stocked my online shopping cart with everything, and then proceeded to whittle it down to a more realistic amount (standard). Before I could place my order, Nordstrom came out with the Sample Pack for the month of June, which consisted of… Hair Care Samples (so. much. yes.)! I didn’t have to potentially waste mah monies on products that might potentially not work for me! Now I could just sample the umm… samples! I removed everything in my shopping cart that was going to arrive as a sample in the Hair Care Sample Pack leaving only the other stuff.

Few days later, just as I was about to place my order, Nordstrom came out with another Sample Pack for the month of June, this time a Men’s Sample Pack (catering to dudes) including a whole bunch of Men’s Fragrance Samples (yaaaaas)! I added a Travel Spray Fragrance and a couple of Bar Soaps, all from the Men’s Grooming and Cologne section, to qualify for the Men’s Sample Pack and hurriedly placed my order, before Nordstrom could come out with yet another Sample Pack lol

DevaCurl Super Curly Curls On The Go Kit (4pc)
DevaCurl Wave Maker Touchable Texture Whip

Eeeeee! So excited!

DevaCurl was one of those brands that curly-haired girls swear by! More importantly, it was “Curly Girl Method” Approved! I wanted needed the Buildup Buster Micellar Water Cleansing Serum (they had me at Buildup Buster) and Wave Maker Touchable Texture Whip (since my hair was kinda’ more wavy than curly) and Melt Into Moisture Matcha Butter Conditioning Mask (rave reviews) and Deep Sea Repair Seaweed Strengthening Mask (because… seaweed) and SuperCream™ Coconut Curl Styler (because… coconut) and One Condition Decadence Ultra Moisturizing Milk Conditioner (Decadence? For my hair? Sold!), to name a few.

When I clocked the Curls-On-The-Go Value Set that contained x4 travel-size products (SuperCream Coconut Curl Styler + One Condition Decadence Ultra Moisturizing Milk Conditioner both of which I needed in my life and the Ultra Defining Gel Strong Hold No-Crunch Styler which would pair nicely with the SuperCream so I was pretty excited for that as well, and finally the No-Poo® Decadence Zero Lather Ultra Moisturizing Milk Cleanser which I could care less about), I figured I had to get it! I’ve said this before, but I believe Starter Kits and Value Sets are one of the best ways to acquaint yourself with a brand that was new to you. If I fall in love with any of these DevaCurl Minis , I could just repurchase the fuller size next time!

There was definitely going to be a next time, because I needed the Buildup Buster Micellar Water Cleansing Serum and the Melt Into Moisture Matcha Butter Conditioning Mask, but I figured I’d get them when the weather was more forgiving (once it cools down a bit). I couldn’t resist getting the Wave Maker Touchable Texture Whip now though (only available in the full size), so I added it, along with the Curls-On-The-Go Travel Size Kit, to my online shopping cart.

Living proof Frizz-Free + Smooth Mini Transformation Kit (4pc)
Living proof Perfect hair Day™ Dry Shampoo
Living proof Perfect hair Day™ Triple Detox Shampoo

Living proof is one of those YouTube-famous brands (all the girls that do makeup, rave about their products). Living proof had a bunch of different products with several lines (Perfect hair Day = PhD lol) that it was kinda’ overwhelming, at first. Right off the bat, I had my eye on the Triple Detox Shampoo (me!) and No Frizz Humidity Shield (because… Kuwait lol) and No Frizz Instant De-Frizzer (yes, please!) and Perfect hair Day™ Dry Shampoo (because… Dry Shampoo) Perfect hair Day™ Night Cap Perfector (because it sounded like it meant business, yo!) and T.B.D. Multi-Tasking Styler (sounded legit) and the Full Root Lift (more is more when it comes to volume).

However, since they had a several Value Kits (Healthy + Strong and Fullness + Volume and Frizz-Free + Smooth) with x4 Minis each, I decided to go for one of those instead. All of them came with a correlating Mini Shampoo and Mini Conditioner, but the other two products varied from kit to kit. The Healthy + Strong Kit came with a PhD Dry Shampoo (mini) and PhD 5-in-1 Styling Treatment (sample), while the Fullness + Volume Kit came with the Full Dry Volume Blast (mini) and the Full Thickening Cream (sample), while the Frizz-Free + Smooth Kit came with the No Frizz Humidity Shield (mini) and the No Frizz Nourishing Styling Cream (sample). Purely because I wanted to sample the No Frizz Humidity Shield, I chose the Frizz-Free + Smooth Kit out of all three Value Kits.

I needed to get my hands on the PhD Triple Detox Shampoo and since it was available in a smaller size, I went for that one instead. I also snatched up the smaller size of the PhD Dry Shampoo. Also, in the Hair Care Sample Pack for the month of June, I received a Living proof Shampoo + Conditioner Mini Duo (dis). Honestly, I adore their packaging! I find everything from the utilitarian design to the muted colors all very appealing! It just speaks to me!

Living proof Frizz-Free + Smooth Mini Transformation Kit ($28 Value) retails for $18.00 (KD 5/900)

What it is: A trial kit featuring products that help keep frizz at bay so hair stays soft and smooth even on the days you don’t wash and style.

No Frizz Shampoo (1 oz.): a richly lathering shampoo that is the first step in fighting frizz.

No Frizz Conditioner (1 oz.): a lightweight conditioner that detangles, conditions and fights frizz.

No Frizz Nourishing Styling Cream (0.33 oz.): a styling cream that smoothes, conditions and eliminates frizz by blocking humidity without weighing hair down.

No Frizz Humidity Shield (1.8 oz.): a weightless hair solution that prevents frizz by providing six times more humidity protection on any finished style.

Living proof Perfect hair Day™ Dry Shampoo (1.8 oz.) retails for $14.00 (KD 4/600)

What it is: A dry shampoo that actually cleans hair, eliminating oil, sweat and odor.

What it does: It’s powered by the brand’s Triple-Action Cleaning Technology to address how hair looks, feels and smells.

Fast-absorbing powders soak up oil and sweat while Living proof’s patented Healthy Hair Molecule OFPMA helps you remove the powders easily from hair, resulting in actually clean hair. Odor neutralizers and time-released fragrances keep hair smelling clean.

Living proof Perfect hair Day™ Triple Detox Shampoo (2 oz.) retails for $13.00 (KD 4/250)

What it is: A non-stripping, color-safe shampoo that gently removes buildup from the three big causes—product, pollution and hard water.

What it does: This shampoo is packed with ingredients: a chelating agent removes hard water mineral buildup, an anionic polymer removes product and a gentle surfactant removes pollution particle buildup. Activated charcoal absorbs oil from your scalp and hair. A scalp moisturizing and soothing complex with witch hazel helps moisturize the scalp.

Drybar Brunettes Detox Dry Shampoo
Moroccanoil Dark Tones Dry Shampoo

Lamenting the loss of my beloved Batiste A Hint of Colour Medium & Brunette Dry Shampoo (gone but not forgotten), I figured I’d give these two Dark-Toned Dry Shampoos a shot. There were others, but I decided to go with just these two, for now.

Drybar was another YouTube-famous brand (like I said, I kept hearing people saying Triple Sec until it was pretty much ingrained into my brain). Since it was a Hair Salon or Blow Dry Bar rather (notice the upside down Hair Dryer depicted on the packaging), they sold all kinds of Hot Tools (bright yellow) and Hair Brushes (bright yellow), in addition to Hair Styling Products. Most of their stuff had really cutesy names and girly packaging. I liked the names but was indifferent about the packaging.

Initially, I wanted the Triple Sec 3-in-1 Texturizer (because I’d been brainwashed by YouTubers who do makeup) and Detox Original Scent Dry Shampoo (because rave reviews too) and Detox Dry Shampoo for Brunettes (possible substitute for my beloved Batiste Medium & Brunette Dry Shampoo) and Mai Tai Spritzer Sea Salt Spray (because… Sea Salt Spray) and Hot Toddy Heat Protectant Mist (the name made me lol and I use Hot Tools excessively) and Southern Belle Volume-Boosting Root Lifter (because.. volume) and Southern Belle Volume-Boosting Mousse (because… also volume) and The Kicker Finishing Spray Wax (because… Spray Wax? da’ heck?) and Sparkling Soda Shine Mist (the name was pretty cute) and Super Lemon Drop Daily Detangler (bright yellow) and Hold Me Hair Clips (bright yellow) and High Tops Self-Grip Rollers (bright yellow) and The Morning After Shower Cap (perfectly over-sized to fit long hair, according to the reviews at least, for when I wanna’ be dirty and not wash my hair, just my body). So… pretty much everything.

However, since I was getting a sample of the Triple Sec 3-in-1 Texturizer in the Hair Care Sample Pack (dis), I removed the full size from my online shopping cart. Also, since the Detox Dry Shampoo for Brunettes was only available in the full size (as far as I know), I removed everything else in my online shopping cart from Drybar and just stuck with the Detox Dry Shampoo for Brunettes.

Drybar Detox Dry Shampoo for Brunettes (3.5 oz.) retails for $23.00 (KD 7/500)

What it is: A super-absorbent dry shampoo that eliminates oils and impurities, leaving hair looking and feeling clean and refreshed.

What it does: This formula leaves hair with extra volume and a matte finish.

Its mineral pigments conceal grey roots between colorings, too. Microfine rice powders absorb excess oils and odors. As they absorb, they become translucent to naturally blend with all hair colors and expand to provide lift in the roots. Golden root extract increases moisture to prevent dryness and breakage.

It features the brand’s Original fragrance with notes of jasmine, sandalwood and Madagascar vanilla.

Moroccanoil Dark Tones Dry Shampoo (1.7 oz.) retails for $10.50 (KD 3/500)

What it is: A UV-protecting, argan oil-infused spray.

What it does: It helps balance brassiness in the tones in your hair.

Ultrafine rice starch absorbs oil, buildup and odor, leaving hair instantly refreshed and cleansed.

For some reason, Moroccanoil just does not excite me. However, since I was on the hunt for a substitute for my beloved Batiste Medium & Brunette Dry Shampoo and this particular Dry Shampoo was available in Dark Tone (to match my hair), and in a smaller size (so I could play around with it before committing to the full size), and at a decent price point, I went ahead and added it to my shopping cart.

Bumble and Bumble Surf Styling Leave-In Hair Styler (5 oz.) retails for $29.00 (KD 9/500)

What it is: A limited-edition leave-in gel-crème that helps you make waves wherever you go.

Who it’s for: Ideal for those with medium-to-thick, straight-to-wavy hair.

What it does: This UV-protective styler moisturizes, detangles and fights frizz while creating soft, beachy waves without the grit. The multitasking formula moisturizes with a Beach Protective Blend, which contains red seaweed, while a Flexi-Style Blend adds light hold and flexibility so you can style and restyle as desired. Your hair is left soft and beachy-chic.

How to use: Work evenly into towel-dried hair, leave in and go.

Pro tips: Work the gel-crème all over your hair, scrunching and twisting with your fingers to create waves. Or, set wet hair in braids for a soft, beachy mermaid texture. For extra waves and lift at the root, pin your hair up in twists on the top of your head and air dry. Use as much as needed.

Ever since the beginning of time (so you know there aint no exaggerations going on here), it seems like I’ve always lusted after Bumble and Bumble (I may have seen the ads in all those girly magazines I used to flip through when I was younger), the Surf Spray in particular. For one reason or another, I just could never quite get my hands on that stuff!

Once it registered with me that Bumble and Bumble was available on Nordstrom, I pretty much added everything (as in… everything), starting with the ever-elusive Surf Spray, but then slowly whittling them down (by removing them from my online shopping cart), until I was left with something less… crazy.

I needed the Surf Spray, and everything else from the Surf range: Surf Infusion and Surf Foam Wash Shampoo and Surf Creme Rinse Conditioner and Surf Foam Spray Blow Dry and the newest addition, Surf Styling Leave-In Hair Styler all because… sea salt! From the Curl range: Anti-Humidity Gel Oil (because… Kuwait) and Conditioning Mousse (seemed good for my hair) and Butter Masque (because… masque). I also had my eye on the Go Big Thickening Treatment (because… volume) and Thickening Full Form Soft Volume Mousse (because… also volume) and Thickening Body Blow Dry (also volume) and Don’t Blow It Thick Hair Styler (for air-drying my hair) and Scalp Detox (because… detox) and Sunday Shampoo (also detox) and Brownish Hair Powder Dry Shampoo (potential Batiste substitute) and Color Stick (to color my roots… maybe).

I kept rotating Bumble and Bumble products in and out of my shopping cart (couldn’t decide on anything other than the Surf Spray), up until they released the Surf Styling Leave-In Hair Styler which was “limited edition” and only available in the full size. That settled that. I figured I could always order the other stuff at a later time, but the Surf Styling Leave-In Hair Styler was limited edition and I might not get a second chance. I deleted everything else from Bumble and Bumble, aside from the full size of the Surf Spray and the Surf Styling Leave-In Hair Styler, up until they came out with the Hair Care Sample Pack for the month of June, which happened to include a sample of the Surf Spray (dis), so I happily deleted the full size of that too.

R+Co Sail Soft Wave Spray (1.5oz) retails for $18.00 (KD 5/900)

What it is: A lightweight spray that adds natural volume and texture to your hair while giving you the kind of soft, supple and shiny waves you’ve been dreaming of.

What it does: Amla, a rich source of vitamin C nourishes and conditions your scalp and has antioxidant properties, adding amazing shine and luster to your hair. Sea kelp, high in vitamin and mineral content, adds shine, volume and softness to hair. Rose hip, a conditioning agent, leaves your hair feeling soft and revitalized.

How to use: Spray on dry or towel-dried hair. Use your fingers to scrunch hair into beachy waves or style as usual with heat tools. Your hair is left touchable and soft with enough memory to style again throughout the day.

I’ve never even heard of R+Co until I stumbled on it on Nordstrom. At first, I kept confusing it with the brand IGK (another brand which we don’t have in Kuwait) lol Incidentally, both IGK (first letters of the last names of the creators, Franck Izquierdo and Leo Izquierdo, Aaron Grenia and Chase Kusero = IGK) and R+Co (the R stands for Rogue) were both created by group (collective, rather) of hairstylists. Both brands had a long list of really cool products with humorous and whimsical names and delightful eye-catching packaging! Sadly, Nordstrom don’t actually sell IGK just yet.

Sticking with R+Co, everything looked so stinkin’ cute! I had a difficult time choosing between Waterfall (Moisture Creme) and High Dive (Moisture + Shine Creme) which kinda’ felt like essentially the same product. I also wanted Sail (Soft Wave Spray) and Chiffon (Styling Mousse) and Rodeo Star (Thickening Style Foam) and Dallas (Thickening Spray) and Oblivion (Clarify Shampoo) and Analog (Cleansing Foam Conditioner) and Atlantis Moisturizing Shampoo and the matching Atlantis Moisturizing Conditioner, but mostly the Dart Pomade Stick (which probably wouldn’t survive the trip in this heat, so… next time).

Eventually, I decided to go for Waterfall (Moisture Creme), but as luck would have it, Waterfall (Moisture Creme) was also included as a sample in the Hair Care Sample Pack (dis). So I deleted the full size of Waterfall and only got Sail (Soft Wave Spray) from R+Co… for now. I’m not quite sure if I got Sail in the travel-size, or if their products are just that small, but it was the only size available up on Nordstrom.

Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray (2.2 oz) retails for $22.00 (KD 7/200)

What it is: A revolutionary invisible dry spray that builds incredible volume and adds texture to any hairstyle.

What it does: A brilliant alternative to dry shampoo, this body-building spray uses patented polymers to absorb oil at the roots, leaving you with just-styled hair for days (and nights). This versatile styling spray can also be used on clean hair to add lift at the roots, while adding texture and volume, too, without any powdery white residue. It protects color with a multilayered UV protection system and leaves hair looking, feeling and smelling beautiful with Oribe’s signature scent.

How to use: Shake, then spray onto hair. Add heat for extra volume.

Everyone seems to lose their minds over Oribe (from actual well-established publications like Allure and such, to well-known Beauty Bloggers and YouTubers, to the average consumer). People just love Oribe. I decided to give it a shot, because I was interested to see if it was worth the hype. From what I could tell, the packaging was pretty bougie, as was the price point. Oribe had everything from Hair Care to Lipstick (lolwut?) and Perfume (intriguing)!

Apparently the Signature Shampoo and Signature Conditioner and Texturizing Spray were fan-favorites. Since I knew I was going to receive samples of the Brilliance & Shine Shampoo and Conditioner (dis) and samples of the Signature Shampoo and Conditioner (dis) in each Sample Pack for the month of June, I decided to go ahead and get the Texturizing Spray. Thankfully, it happened to be available for purchase in both the full size and the mini size! As you can see, I went for the mini size, which was still pretty pricey lol

Kiehl’s Olive Fruit Oil Repairing Hair Masque (8.4 oz.) reduced from $25 (KD 8) to to $21.25 (KD 7)

What it is: A reparative mask that provides intense conditioning to hair.

Who it’s for: Suitable for those with dehydrated, under-nourished and damaged hair.

What it does: It helps repair severely weakened hair fibers by restoring their moisture content. It’s ideal for hair that’s been weakened by overexposure to sun, chemical processing or excessive heat styling.

I blogged about the Nivea A Kiss of Olive Oil & Lemon Lip Care Stick awhile ago (dis), but can’t seem to get that gorgeous scent off my mind! That’s why I’ve kinda’ been revisiting Olive-based whatever, recently (dis) and now dis (Kiehl’s Olive Fruit Oil Repairing Hair Masque).

Even if it doesn’t end up smelling amazing, it’s still a useful Hair Masque, and a repairing one at that. Also, it was from Kiehl’s. Also, it was on Sale. All very valid reasons for purchasing this huge thing of Hair Masque, or so I believe.

Hair Care Purchases + Hair Care Sample Pack (June) + Bonus Gift (June)

The things I payed for were against the wall, while the things that were in the Sample Packs were actually a Gift with Purchase (for exceeding a certain amount). The DevaCurl Wave Maker and and Bumble and Bumble Surf Styling Leave-In Hair Styler and Drybar Brunettes Detox Dry Shampoo and Kiehl’s Olive Hair Masque were the only full size items, while the rest were all travel-size or smaller. Honestly, I feel like it’s less of a commitment and also less expensive for me to go for the travel-sizes. Also, aside from being cuter, they’re just more fun!

Hair Care Sample Pack (June)

Get a Free Gift with your $85 Hair Care purchase. Find your next Hair Care favorites with samples from Drybar, slip for beauty sleep, Briogeo and more. $87 Value.

Since my order exceeded $85 (which I made sure of) I qualified for the Hair Care Sample Pack for the month of June. I went through the contents of the Hair Care Sample Pack in a previous post (here).

Bonus Gift (June)

Spend $125 on Hair Care and you’ll also receive a bonus Briogeo Trio:

Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-Exfoliating Shampoo (1 oz.)
Farewell Frizz Blow Dry Perfection & Heat Protectant Crème (0.75 oz.)
Farewell Frizz Rosarco Milk Leave-In Conditioning Spray (0.75 oz.)

Since my order exceeded $125 I also qualified for the Bonus Gift.

I’d actually purchased the full size of the Micro-Exfoliating Shampoo from our local Sephora (dis) and received an identical sample to this one in the April Skincare Sample Pack (dis), but since I enjoy exfoliating, I was happy about getting even more of this stuff!

The Heat Protectant Creme was definitely going to be put to good use (since I fry my hair on the regular) and Rosarco Leave-In Conditioning Spray seemed to be generating a lot of hype lately, so I was happy with those two as well!

Versace Eros Eau de Toilette Travel Spray (0.3 oz) reduced from $28.00 (KD 9/200) to $23.80 (KD 7/800)

Versace Eros is a fragrance for a strong man who is passionate and master of himself. Its masculine scent draws on Greek mythology and features a vibrant blend of mint leaves, Italian lemon zest and green apple for an unforgettable fragrance.

Top: mint leaves, Italian lemon zest, green apple.
Middle: tonka beans, amber, geranium flower, vanilla.
Base: cedarwood, vetiver, oak moss.

I’ve expressed my interest in Versace Eros Pour Homme Eau de Toilette earlier, but ended up purchasing a sample of Versace Eros Pour Femme Eau de Toilette (here). I ended up loving the EDT as opposed to it’s horrible EDP counterpart. However, I still couldn’t get over my need to smell the men’s version. I even spotted the full size of Versace Eros Pour Homme EDT over at our local Sephora (because I was interested in purchasing it as a gift for someone), but the tester was empty… during several visits… months apart (typical Kuwait).

When Nordstrom came out with a Men’s Sample Pack (dis), I decided to get Versace Eros Pour Homme Eau de Toilette in the form of a Travel Spray to help me qualify for the Men’s Sample Pack. Sure, Versace Eros was a blind-buy, but Jeremy Fragrance (dis) would not shut up about it. Even without him, I couldn’t get over the idea of needing to sniff Versace Eros. Also, I’m no stranger to sporting unisex and straight up masculine scents (if I like it, I like it). Also, it was in a Travel Spray, which I much prefer over those annoying Rollerballs. Plus, it was on Sale! Thankfully, the scent did not disappoint. I loved it!

Murdock London Black Tea Body Bar Soap (130g/4.58 oz.) retails for $18 (KD 5/900)

What it is: A bar soap crafted to cleanse thoroughly without drying or irritating skin.

What it does: Murdock London’s signature black tea scent plus anti-irritating madder root gets you noticed for the right reasons.

Never heard of Murdock London until now. I was only looking for products to purchase in the Men’s Grooming and Cologne section to help bump up the total of my order, so I could qualify for the Men’s Sample Pack.

The Bath&Body Works Bergamot + Black Pepper Body Bar (dis) had opened up my eyes to the benefits of using Men’s Bar Soap. Initially, I didn’t like the scent on my body, but for washing my hands at the sink, the Bergamot + Black Pepper Body Bar was great! Other than the appealing scent (more so, now that it was mainly used on my hands), that stuff was huge (definitely last you for months)! I’m actually currently working my way through the second one now! Also, they’re quite creamy and less harsh on the skin! Basically, wins all around!

When I saw Black Tea, I was all over this baby! I can’t and won’t resist anything that’s meant to smell like Black Tea! Also, how cool is the packaging? Heck, even the brand name Murdock London sounds cool! Not quite sure what Madder Root actually is, or why Cayenne Pepper is even in this thing, or how they’ll fare on the skin, but… I’ll take it!

Baxter of California Italian Lime & Pomegranate Vitamin Cleansing Bar (198g/7 oz.) retails for $18.00 (KD 5/900)

Upgrade your daily shower with Italian Lime and Pomegranate Vitamin Cleansing Bar by Baxter of California.

Its rich, luxurious lather helps restore the skin’s moisture balance while aloe, seaweed and vitamins A and E nourish the skin. The green stripe down the middle is packed with hydrating glycerin. Gentle enough for use on face.

Notes: lime, bergamot, pomegranate, cucumber, sweet musks

I don’t recall trying anything from Baxter of California before either, but Lime is another scent note I tend to find irresistible! Also, it’s got Seaweed!

Malin + Goetz Lime Bar Soap (140g/5 oz.) retails for $16.00 (KD 5/250)

What it is: A foaming cleansing bar

What it does: It gently and effectively purifies and balances skin while hydrating and rinsing free of residue without irritation, drying or stripping.

I keep getting samples of Malin+Goetz, but other than that, I don’t believe I’ve actually purchased anything from this brand before, until now. The Bar Soap was available in the scents Rum and Lime and possibly one other scent (can’t remember), but I had to go for Lime (because… lime = me).

Men’s Sample Pack (June)

Get a Free Gift when you spend $75 on Men’s Grooming or Cologne. $86 Value.

Since the Versace Eros Travel Spray and x3 Bar Soaps exceeded $75, I qualified for the Men’s Sample Pack. The main reason I wanted to get my hands on the Men’s Sample Pack was all those glorious Men’s Fragrance Samples! I listed everything included in the Men’s Sample Pack in a previous post (here).

Chanel Bleu De Chanel Parfum (Sample)
Jo Malone Honeysuckle & Davana Cologne (Sample)
Hermes Un Jardin sur la Lagune Eau de Toilette (Sample)

Lastly, with any order off of Nordstrom, you got your pick of x3 samples (no pre-requisites). All three of the ones I chose for June were Fragrance Samples (natch)!

Unlike Kuwait, where you typically either get the largest size or go without, I love that Nordstrom gives us the option of choosing which size we’d like to purchase! Since it’s my first time trying most of these products and brands, I’d rather not commit to the full size just yet (potentially ending up with a full sized dud).

Other than a handful of full size items, everything else was either travel-size or miniatures or just samples. It’s actually perfect this way really, because I’ve only got, you know, one head of hair, so I can’t possibly be able to ever use up all this stuff, if I’d gotten them in say larger sizes. Also, everything looked cuter this way (because… minis) and I get to use them all up (before I get a chance to get bored of them) and they’re easier to lug around or store (take up less space)!

I haven’t gotten a chance to play around with everything just yet, but I’m slowly working my way through them (reviews and such to come)! Despite all that, I’m super grateful and extremely excited about all the stuff in this entire haul (from the purchases to the gifts with purchase and samples)!

So, so, sooo happy with all mah new baybehz! ♥
