Bath and Body Works (March)

In The Stars: Make every moment glow with an addictive fragrance from start to finish like the stars above! Bergamot, Champagne, Night Blooming Water Lily, Pink Salted Amber

French Baguette: a blend of slow rising dough, crispy crust and a fresh out of the oven aroma

Dark Kiss: a seductive blend of black raspberry, burgundy rose & dark vanilla bean

As I’ve mentioned numerous times on my blog, these larger 3-wick Candles were priced at an exorbitant KD 8 each. However, they had a “x3 Candles for KD 17” deal on them. It didn’t seem like that great of a deal, but I was in the market for some more Candles and like I’d mentioned earlier (here), everything else seemed a bit… meh.

I would’ve loved to purchase a travel-size Shower Gel and travel-size Body Lotion from the In The Stars Collection, but they weren’t available at the time (possibly because the collection was new-new, or less possibly because the collection didn’t actually include those). So, rather than spring for the full sizes (I was already stocked up on, well… everything, since January, so I didn’t want to overwhelm myself with even more full sized products), I decided to wait for the travel-sizes to pop up in-store.

In the meantime, I figured I’d pick up a few Candles (as shown).

In The Stars – Not a big fan of the packaging (gold, blech), but what a delightful scent! The Candle version of this scent smelled slightly fruitier than the rest of the collection. For whatever reason, it strongly reminded me of my beloved, long-discontinued Pineapple Orchid Candle (haulage here) which was one of my earliest favorites from Bath & Body Works! I really wanted to purchase something (read: anything) from the In The Stars Collection. So, I’m pretty happy with this baby!

French Baguette – Very, very disappointing! The name and packaging were quite cute, in a kitschy sorta’ way, but the scent was your basic vanilla scent. It wasn’t particularly warm nor musky. It was just a very generic, light vanilla scent. Boooring! I imagine I’m not the only one that got suckered into purchasing this baby purely based on the name lol (only candle people will understand). Thankfully, my older brother took this thing off my hands so I no longer have to roll my eyes every time I look at it.

Dark Kiss – Oldie but a goodie! I’ve repurchased Dark Kiss many, many, many times from Bath & Body Works, over the years, in every form (Candle, Wallflower Bulb, Shower Gel, Body Lotion, Fine Fragrance Mist, etc…) for a reason. It’s such a beautiful, delectable and extremely decadent scent, that sniffing it almost seems downright sinful! Clearly, I’m not the only person that feels that way, because every time they discontinue Dark Kiss, they bring it back shortly after! lol In my eyes, this baby is a forever favorite! Since none of the other Candles seemed appealing to me, I decided to go for one of my tried and true favorites, in the seemingly updated packaging. Such a glorious scent!

I suppose, you got x2 Candles for full price and the third Candle for KD 1. Like I said, not that great of a deal, but I was going through candle-withdrawal symptoms lol Plus, other than burning through my money on Snackage (Sultan Center Haul) and Clothes (Forever 21 Haulage), I’d been relatively good during the previous month, meaning I could totally allow myself to indulge (lol I gave myself permission). With that being said, I haven’t been back to Bath & Body Works since.
