The semi-annual sale was on, like I said in my previous post. I went back to the branch where I’d hauled my most recent Fragrance Mists from (haulage here), but sadly they’d already switched out the wide variety of collections for a handful of uninteresting ones. However, at the Souq Sharq branch, I found and purchased these bebehs!
Electric Beach Dry Fragrance Oil reduced from KD 7 to KD 2/000
Clementine. Pink Sugar. Pink Bikini. Tropical rush. Drink it in.
They had Dry Fragrance Oils in several summer-y scents, but I just had to go for Electric Beach! Beautiful ombre pink/blue packaging and sexy name aside (Miami Nights 1984 – Ocean Drive Vibes!), the scent was uplifting and citrus-y and all around wonderful! I figured since I’d been good and skipped the Bath & Body Works Black Mousse To Oil, I could go ahead and get the Victoria’s Secret Electric Beach Dry Fragrance Oil.
For one, I was bummed out about not getting the Electric Beach Fragrance Mist earlier (here) when I had the chance. As far as I was concerned, this Dry Fragrance Oil was the next best thing! Secondly, I wanted something to make some of my more “budget-friendly” (read: alcohol-based) fragrances last longer. It occurred to me that I could use the Dry Fragrance Oil and then layer any other fruity/citrus-y fragrance over-top and hopefully that would make the scent last longer! It might even make some of my more floral-y perfumes smell nicer! At the very least, Electric Beach smelled deelish on its own! I could see myself getting a lot of use out of this baby during the upcoming Summer!
Pink Coffee Shop Body Milk Hydrating Spray Lotion reduced ? to KD 2
Another products from that delightful Coffee Shop Collection from the Pink line! Unlike the products that I’d purchased earlier from the same Coffee Shop Collection (haulage here), this was a slightly more practical one, a moisturizer… that you spray-on. As such, I didn’t feel the need to “test” out the scent. Well, that and the fact that they were closing up shop, at the time.
Back home, I must say, I was slightly disappointed. This stuff smelled like those Saffron Milk Cakes lol At times, it had that weird, almost sour, milk-y quality to it. That would be the Coconut Milk, I suppose. In my mind, I was banking on this thing smelling like Coffee or at the very least something Vanilla-ry, to use for layering as well. Worse still, it took several sprays to moisturize any one area! Also, I couldn’t just spray some in my cupped hand and apply it wherever. You actually had to spray this stuff in the exact spot you wanted to moisturize and then rub it in. Even then, it made my hands feel dry and kinda’… dusty. That said, for KD 2, I’m not mad at it.
Victoria’s Secret Bombshell Soap reduced from KD 6 to KD 2/500
Sexy today. Sexy tomorrow. Sexy forever. A glamorous blend of purple passion fruit, Shangri-la yellow peony and vanilla orchid.
Too cute! They had a bunch of these Soap Bars in the scent Bombshell, but I only picked up a single one. I figured I’d try it out and if I liked it, I’d go back for more, at a later time. I’d get such a kick out of it, every time the hot water would waft the scent up! I really enjoyed using this baby all up! In fact, I loved it (but didn’t end up going back for more because… too lazy lol).
The packaging was tres adorbs, but the scent was to-die! I’d purchased the Body Mist in the same scent earlier (here) and equally loved it! Despite being a floral, I found Bombshell ridiculously endearing and somewhat nostalgic! If I spot these soaps again in the scent Bombshell, sale or no sale, I’d totally stock up! Also, how cute would these be in a guest bathroom or gifted to someone as part of a housewarming gift or summat! If like me, you tend to get overwhelmed by all the scents at Victoria’s Secret, do give Bombshell (which is from the permanent line) a sniff!
I mean, it’s not the greatest haul ever, but to me, it was worth a stop at Souq Sharq, because I thoroughly enjoyed using up the Bombshell Soap and can’t wait to use the Electric Beach Dry Fragrance Oil! While the Body Milk might smell irritating to me, I’m still glad I got it (it’s practical… sorta’), rather than wondering about it. Plus, since they were all on Sale, I ended up spending just KD 6/500 for all three! I’m slowly starting to fall in love with Victoria’s Secret!
