Once again, I was at the Avenues and on my way back to my car, popped by Carrefour to replenish my stock of Jack Link’s Beef Jerky and pick up another Colgate 360 Toothbrush (every time I open up a new one to start using, I like to go out and purchase a back-up as quickly as possible, especially since I don’t always find these babies at any given local co-op).
While there, I couldn’t resist picking up these bars of KitKat because the name of the flavor (Cookie Crumble) made me lol Inspired by recent success with Lux Soap (here), I decided to try out a random scent, which smelled nice in-store, but was so floral and just awful during use!
At the Makeup Aisle, I was completely smitten with a Maybelline Nail Polish in the most delicious shade of coffee brown that was appropriately named Dark Roast! Keeping up with the chocolate-y theme (you know how much I love my themes), I snatched up a tiny pot of Cocoa Butter Body Cream from the brand Himalaya (or Himalaya Herbals? I dunno… it’s just one of those brands that’s always been around, in every drugstore and local co-op, since the beginning of time) to stash in my car for when I forget to moisturize. Lastly, I hit up the Essence counter and picked up a few things (more on that below).
Colgate 360 Charcoal Toothbrush retails for KD 1/800
Lux Velvet Touch (Jasmine & Almond Oil) Soap retails for KD 0/250
Himalaya Herbals Cocoa Butter Intensive Body Cream retails for KD 0/500
Maybelline Super Stay 7 Days Gel Nail Color (Dark Roast) retails for KD 2/000
Essence Magnetic Lashes Storage Case (#01 Lash Boss) retails for KD 1/500
Essence Lash Princess False Lash Mascara (teal packaging) retails for KD 2/000
Essence Lash Princess Sculpted Volume Mascara (purple packaging) KD 2/000
Essence Color Correcting Liquid Concealer (#20 Yellow) retails for KD 1/500
Essence Bright Up! Banana Powder (#10 Bababanana) retails for KD 1/750
I didn’t realize the Lash Storage Case was meant for Magnetic Lashes lol I just really liked the holographic packaging (which reads “I’m not perfect… but my lashes are”) which I thought was too cute! Plus, I love that whole neon vs black aesthetic (so cool)!
I’ve heard nothing but great things about this particular Banana Powder, so I had to get it! The Liquid Concealer was a spur of the moment thing (it reads “no to dark circles” on the cap which was enough to convince me lol) as were the Lash Princess Mascaras (which totally gave me Anna Sui vibes!) and I’m super happy to report that the Sculpted Volume Mascara (purple packaging) has the most wonderful curved brush (my favorite!) that just lifts and curls and elongates my lashes, fanning them out beautifully! Basically, it’s the very definition of what I would call a “Drugstore Gem“!
All in all, this was such a fun haul, or rather, I had such a fun time hauling this stuff! The best part was the total was only KD 22/760 for all this junk!
