For the sake of convenience (it’s just easier for me), I decided to split up my Sephora Haul into 2 posts. This one will feature all the stuff that came in the Holiday Gift Box and the next post will feature stuff I actually payed for at Sephora.
If you don’t feel like reading, you can just click the link and scroll all the way down to see the Black Card Gift and Gold Card Gift on display in-store (here) or the very bottom of this post to get a closer look at the Black Card Gift (12pc deluxe samples).
Sephora Black Card Festive Gift Box
Sephora Denim Tote Bag
Sephora Magical Gifts Brochure
Sephora Star Phone Ring
When I payed for my stuff at the check-out counter at Sephora, I was delightfully surprised when the woman behind the cash register pulled out a “Festive Gift Box” and placed it in my shopping bag, alongside the rest of my stuff!
Sephora Magical Gifts Brochure
I snatched this up on my way out, to flip through later.
Anyone else remember looking forward to those online Sephora Catalogues ages ago? The good ol’ days! Man, it used to take a year for each page to load, which just heightened the suspense lol
Sephora Star Phone Ring
At first glance, I thought this was a star-shaped Iron-On Patch (lawl) for the Tote Bag.
Sephora Denim Tote Bag
This thing was folded up to look small-to-average, but it was actually huge! I’m not big on Tote Bags, but this one was seemed pretty decent (in the sense that it wasn’t coming apart at the seams and such, unlike the ones you get from Bath & Body Works).
The photos were taken on different days, hence the discrepancies. The weather alternates between cloudy and hazy during Winter, but you get the picture (literally, lol).
Sephora Black Card Festive Gift Box (12pc samples)
This was so cool of Sephora! For starters, it contained a nice assortment of stuff. You got Fragrances (plural, not just one), you got Skincare and you got Makeup! Also, only one item was from the house-brand (Sephora) whereas everything else was from other legit brands! Worthy of note, some brands had several deluxe samples that each person would receive… randomly (full deets below). Lastly, what makes this even cooler was that it was so unexpected (no text message, no e-mail, no nothin’)! I just bought some stuff at Sephora and they were like “Here you go” and handed me this thing!
I’ll be going over them in the same order shown in the photo.
Givenchy L’Interdit Eau de Parfum (mini) 10ml
Top Notes: Orange Blossom
Heart Notes: Jasmine Sambac, Tuberose
Base Notes: Patchouli, Vetiver, Ambroxan
I actually purchased the full size of L’Interdit as a Birthday Gift for my favorite cousin earlier (here) so it’s pretty cool that I got an itty-bitty one for myself now too! As if the tiny bottle wasn’t adorable enough, it’s even got the 4 G logo on the black ribbon around the neck of the bottle! Too cute!
Giorgio Armani Si Intense Eau de Parfum (mini) 7ml
Top Notes: Blackcurrant, Mandarin, Bergamot, Freesia
Heart Notes: Rose De Mai, Neroli, Davana, Osmanthus
Base notes: Patchouli, Vanilla, Ambroxan, Woods
Another lil cutie! Apparently, these Gift Boxes randomly contained either Si Eau de Toilette or Si Eau de Parfum or Si Intense Eau de Parfum. Since I already own Si Eau de Toilette (gifted to me, here), I’m glad I got a different one, Si Intense, to play around with!
Geurlain Santal Royal Eau de Parfum (mini) 7.5ml
Top Notes: Neroli, Jasmine
Heart Notes: Peach, Rose, Cinnamon
Base notes: Sandalwood, Leather, Amber, Oud, Musks
The full size of this baby, was featured in the main display (here) so it makes sense that the mini would be included in the Festive Gift Box.
Da’ babies! ♥
My interest in fragrances was gaining momentum, the closer we got to the end of the year. I’ve always enjoyed things that smelled pleasant (Perfumes, Shower Gels, Candles, Soaps, etc…) but for whatever reason, I was quickly becoming obsessed with Perfumes! In fact, for the next month or so, all I did was watch people hauling and reviewing Perfumes on YouTube!
I stopped watching Podcasts and Makeup Videos and even my beloved Conspiracy Videos on YouTube. I didn’t watch a single movie or episode of any tv show on Netflix either. When I wasn’t on YouTube watching people talk about Perfumes, I was on Fragrantica.com reading about Perfumes. It was perfumes, perfumes, perfumes, all the way! I was obsessed!
So these 3 cuties were a very welcome surprise!
GlamGlow YouthMud Tinglexfoliate Treatment (mini) 15g
I bought the full size of this stuff earlier just to see if it was worth the hype, but as I said in the review (here), I didn’t love it. However, since this version was an adorable little mini, I didn’t mind giving this stuff another go. Also, I thought it was so cool that GlamGlow was included in the Festive Gift Box!
Origins Perfect World Antioxidant Cleanser with White Tea (mini) 15ml
On one hand, Origins Cleansers leave some sort of film on my face which is a pet peeve of mine. On the other hand, White Tea! As I mentioned earlier, I’ve become obsessed with scents and Tea happens to be one of the notes that’s captured my interest! It was random, but you either got the Origins Perfect World Antioxidant Cleanser with White Tea (as shown) or Origins Plantscription Powder Lifting Cream in the Festive Gift Box. I’m kinda’ bored of Origins so I was fine with either option.
Fenty Beauty Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Primer Universal (mini) 4ml
I’ve never actually bought anything from Fenty Beauty before because… it’s expensive. I was interested in the Contour Stick at one point, but after seeing the price? Nope. Luckily, I keep getting minis/samples as freebies (case in point, this thing). That said, if I do find something that seems like a must-have, I’d definitely go for it. In the meantime though, I’m good.
Too Faced Hangover Primer (mini) 5g
They should be handing this baby out with every Too Faced purchase, in my opinion. Anyways, when this product was first released, I was dying to give it a try. Then… it dawned on me that I don’t actually even wear Foundation and I totally got over my need to try this thing. I’m glad I have a deluxe sample though!
Smashbox Photo Finish Lash Primer (mini) 3ml
Their Eyeshadows and Face Makeup (Bronzers/Highlighters/etc…) might be awful, but Primers are the one area where Smashbox shines! Actually, even their Concealers are pretty dope! I enjoy experimenting with different Mascaras and Lash Primers and layering them all together so this was nice!
BeautyBlender Liquid Blender Cleanser (mini) 0.5oz
I use everything from the original Johnson’s Baby Shampoo to Bath & Body Works Deep Cleansing Hand Soaps to wash my BeautyBlenders lol Now, I’ve got the real McCoy (who says that? lol) to compare them with.
Sephora Smooth & Brightening Powder (mini) 1g
I’m currently working my way through a huge thing of Ben Nye Banana Powder (haulage here) which will take me oh, I dunno’, the next twenty years, so I’m all set on Powder. That’s why I actually like the fact that in this instance, the sample is so tiny.
Tarte Kitten Liquid Liner 1ml/0.025 fl oz
I’m not sure if this is a mini or the full size. Also, I don’t know how to feel about the “kitten”. It looks more like a cat and an evil one at that (not cute). As I keep repeating, I’m all stocked up on Liquid Liners (and I don’t even use them as much), but I thought it was really, really cool that this was included in the Festive Gift Box (for those who weren’t stocked up)!
Benefit Hoola Matte Bronzer (mini) 3g
Now you know why I don’t feel the need to repurchase Hoola. My stock is constantly getting replenished lol I like how it says “Believe this Bronzer” (I do! I do believe!) and “Hoola your way to hotness” on the outer packaging. Benefit, you so goofy! Anyways, the packaging is pretty cute and if you haven’t tried Hoola yet, it’s actually pretty awesome for contouring! So cool that this was included in the Festive Gift Box as well! It was random but you either got a sample of Benefit Gimme Brow (shade 03) or a sample of Benefit Hoola Matte Bronzer (as shown). I’m glad it was the latter!
As I said, the Festive Gift Box contained a pretty good selection of products! When I asked the lady what it was for, she said “For you”. However, on the receipt, it says “Gift With Purchase”. So I guess you had to spend a certain amount to qualify for it. It would be pretty cool if Sephora (Kuwait) continues to do stuff like this throughout the year (not just during the Holidays). Regardless, good job, Sephora (Kuwait)!
