Spotted at L’Occitane (Aqua Réotier Collection)

For centuries, a natural water spring has been running at the heart of the Provence mountains, collecting rich minerals and rising up at the Réotier Spring. Thanks to its high calcium content, this incredible water helps skin maintain its hydration barrier and retain moisture. L’Occitane has paired this powerful Provence water with Hyaluronic Acid in an ultra-hydrating skin care range, for healthy-looking skin.

Discover our NEW thirst-quenching, water-based Aqua Réotier Collection, uniquely formulated with 3 powerful ingredients: Hyaluronic Acid, Glycerin, and calcium-rich Réotier Spring Water derived from the mountains of Provence.

I was literally bouncing in place with excitement when I spotted the water-based Aqua Réotier Collection! This collection (the one I hinted at, towards the very end of my previous L’Occitane Samplage post) was the whole reason I was practically stalking L’Occitane every other day! The Aqua Reotier Collection finally arrived to Kuwait (and it only took about… a year since it was released worldwide lol)!

Let’s just get this out of the way first. How pretty is the packaging and the presentation (I mean, that ring of water is absolutely stunning)! Everything is all blue and transparent and just very, very pleasant to look at! And don’t even get me started on those micro-bubbles (so cute, I die!) in some of the products! Okay, now that that’s out of the way…

As you might have noticed, there’s been a recurring theme with Skincare Collections as of late. Actually, it’s always been a “thing”, but recently it’s become more of a “thing”. Basically, that theme is Water and by extension Hyaluronic Acid (and I am here for it)! Anything water-based or water-related (from gel-to-water textures, to micro-bubbles suspended in the product, to products that literally bubble up on the skin, to anything with words like water or aqua or hydra in the name, etc…) seems to be trending hardcore, at the moment and all the brands from high-end to low-end, seem to be jumping on the bandwagon!

You’ve got ELF with their Hydrating Collection (haulage here) and Givenchy with their Hydra Sparkling Collection (spotted here) and Dr. Jart+ with their Water Collection (spotted here) and even Bath & Body Works with their Water Collection (previewed here) and the list goes on and on and on… Obviously that extends to Sheet Masks and you’ve got the GlamGlow “BubbleSheet” Oxygenating Deep Cleanse Mask (spotted here) and the Sephora SuperMask “The Bubble Mask” (spotted here) just to name a few. My first, was the one my ex bought for me (begrudgingly lol) around 2013 Bath and Body Works Green Tea Fizzy Foaming Face Mask (haulage here) and my latest was the one purchased in 2016 IQueen Self Bubbling Oxygen Foam Cleanser (haulage here). Personally, I’m absolutely loving all the water-based anything and everything!

Top Row: Water Gel Cleanser (KD 7/750) and Moisture Prep Essence (KD ?) and Fresh Moisturizing Mist (KD 5/500)
Middle Row: Ultra Thirst-Quenching Gel (KD 11/750)
Bottom Row: Ultra Thirst-Quenching Cream (KD 11/750)

That’s pretty much it. That’s the entire Aqua Reotier Collection. The price point doesn’t seem too high considering the feature product is calcium-rich Spring Water, from a mountain in France, gathered by blind unicorns (just wanted to see if you were paying attention). You might think, “oh, calcium-rich? I could just dunk my face in milk, same thing right?” (or maybe you weren’t thinking that lol), except this stuff has the added benefits of Hyaluronic Acid and Glycerin and it’s refreshing and it smells nice and is quite nice to look at and play around with and most important of all, less messy!

Water Gel Cleanser retails for KD 7/750

A foaming gel cleanser enriched with calcium-rich Réotier water to remove impurities while leaving skin comfortable and soft with a fresh and luminous tone.

Moisture Prep Essence retails for ? (I wanna’ say around KD 9 but I could be wrong…)

This light, gel-textured moisturizing essence enriched with Réotier water and Hyaluronic Acid, turns into a water-like texture, to prep skin with a preliminary layer of moisture.

Fresh Moisturizing Mist retails for KD 5/500

A moisturizing mist that combines the powers of the incredibly calcium-rich Réotier water with those of Hyaluronic Acid for a real source of freshness that hydrates and helps revitalize the skin anywhere, anytime.

Ultra Thirst-Quenching Gel retails for KD 11/750

Enriched with Réotier water and Hyaluronic Acid, this thirst-quenching, ultra-fresh gel acts like a magnet to recharge skin with water, leaving it glowing with moisture all day long. Thousands of micro-bubbles release freshness instantly, energizing and revitalizing the skin.

Bubbles! ♥

Ultra Thirst-Quenching Face Cream retails for KD 11/750

Enriched with Réotier water and hyaluronic acid, this thirst-quenching, fresh melting cream acts like a magnet to recharge skin with water, leaving it glowing with moisture and softness all day long.

Aqua Reotier Discovery Set (travel-sized)

– Aqua Reotier Soft Sponge
– Aqua Reotier Gel Cleanser 40ml
– Aqua Reotier Ultra Thirst-Quenching Cream 8ml
– Aqua Reotier Moisture Essence 30ml

They even handed out Aqua Reotier Ultra Thirst-Quenching Cream Samples. *gasp* Samples? Of a newly arrived product, no less? Unprompted? In Kuwait? Had it not happened to me, I wouldn’t have believed it. Honestly, L’Occitane have always been pretty good about that. Just like Jo Malone (here), I feel like with L’Occitane, you not only get what you pay for, but shopping there is always a very, very pleasant experience and most importantly, they treat their customers with respect (unlike those who shall not be named Sephora and Harvey Nichols)!

Aqua Réotier Collection

Just… beautiful!
