Spotted at Boots (October)

Dry Shampoo

After begging Boots to bring back Batiste Dry Shampoo in the shade a Hint of Color – Medium & Brunette (because I couldn’t find it anywhere in the country) and then later on, any Dry Shampoo from any brand (it’s like all the Dry Shampoo in the country just disappeared), Boots finally brought back not only Batiste Dry Shampoo, but they even brought out their own (in-house brand) Boots Dry Shampoo! LOL

I started noticing the disappearance of my beloved Batiste Hint of Color Medium & Brunette Dry Shampoo around the summer of last year and had to resort to trying out other scents of Batiste Dry Shampoo (haulage here). Then I started frantically hitting up all the Boots stores in Kuwait, in search of my favorite Batiste Hint of Color Medium & Brunette Dry Shampoo to no avail (here) and even resorted to trying out Dry Shampoo from different brands, such as Soap & Glower RUSHOWER™ Dry Shampoo (haulage here) and Brelil Hair BB Powder Spray (haulage here) and Ouai Dry Shampoo (haulage here). The Brelil BB one was surprisingly excellent and smelled delicious too! Unfortunately, the rest were all duds and smelled horrible (floral)! The only Dry Shampoo brand I could always manage to find, in every single Boots store, was by the brand Energie Fruit (spotted here) and I hated everything about it, from the packaging to the smell, so I definitely wasn’t going to purchase it.

Batiste Dry Shampoo

Finally (… albeit one year later lol)

Boots Dry Shampoo

This just cracks me up! After months of begging for Batiste Medium & Brunette Dry Shampoo, it’s pretty cool that Boots came out with their own version… except now I went back to blonde (here). You’re about a year too late, Boots! However, I appreciate the sentiment just the same!

Tangle Cherub Totally Turquoise Detangling Brush retails for KD 6/750

I’ve had these in every color… in my online shopping cart on Amazon UK (I wanna’ say since 2009 or 2010 or 2011), but never actually purchased any of them (I went for the actual Tangle Teezer instead). A lot of time passed and now I feel like I’m too old for the Tangle Cherub lol (I’m 33). Regardless, it’s nice to see that both the Tangle Teezer and Tangle Cherub finally make the jump to Kuwait… almost a decade later. That said, I would’ve felt dumb if I’d ordered the Tangle Teezer only to find it being sold in stores a year later. After the 5+ year mark, it’s safe to say I made the right call. As for the Tangle Cherub, it’s stupid cute! Honestly, had it been available in Black, I totally would’ve purchased one for myself lol As it stands, I think I’m going to get one for my niece (her current favorite color is blue, to match her eyes). I’d get one for her younger sister too, but she’d probably just try to eat it. If you’ve got a tween, they’d definitely get a kick out of the Tangle Cherub!

Vichy Mineral 89 Fortifying and Plumping Daily Booster retails for KD 13/000

Oooh, Mineral 89 (no clue what that’s even supposed to mean, but it sure does sound fancy)! This was apparently new, hence the display.

Vichy Mineral 89 Fortifying and Plumping Daily Booster retails for KD 13/000

The unique combination of Vichy Mineralizing Water, for the 1st time concentrated up to 89%, associated to natural origin Hyaluronic Acid. Minéral 89 reinforces skin barrier function, to make skin every day stronger against aggressors like pollution, stress and fatigue. In 7 days, skin is bouncy inside & glowy outside. A safe and short formula with only 11 ingredients. With no fragrance, colorants, silicon, parabens and alcohol.

Like I said, despite having been around for a while now, Hyaluronic Acid is currently have a “moment”.

Vichy Moisturizing Thermal Water retails for KD 5/500

I’ve purchased the Sanctuary Covent Garden Spa Essentials Hot Sugar Scrub (550g) and the Sanctuary Covent Garden Spa Essentials Luxury Bath Float (500ml), both of which were huge! They were nice, especially the Hot Sugar Scrub (which was self-warming!), but it felt like no matter how much I used them, they would magically replenish themselves! I know that sounds like a good thing, but when you’re a product junkie, you kinda’ get bored of using the same stuff over and over again and instead, wanna’ move on to the next new thing (well, new to me, but not necessarily new to the store). It felt like they’d never finish (which they actually never did lol). That’s why I was kinda’ turned off by all Sanctuary Convent Garden Spa products (like, for years). However, it seems they’ve revamped the brand (even the name is just Sanctuary Spa now) and I’m kinda’ into it. They’ve extended the range (we only had a handful back then), changed the packaging to something infinitely less boring than the standard orange and added some pretty intriguing scents!

Top Row: Purifying Charcoal
Bottom Row: Green Lemon & Orange Blossom and White Lily & Damask Rose.

Top Row: Green Lemon & Orange Blossom and White Lily & Damask Rose.
Bottom Row: More of those Energie Fruit products (on the third row from the bottom), blech! I just don’t like this brand.

Top Row: Chili Mango & Tonka Bean
Bottom Row: Cloudberry & Lychee Blossom

Yas, Sanctuary Spa, yaaaas! The packaging is a bit odd but they’ve got Shower Burst and Body Wash and Body Scrub and Body Lotion and Body Butter and Hand Cream!

Top Row: Cloudberry & Lychee Blossom
Bottom Row: Salted Caramel & Macadamia

Top Row: Salted Caramel & Macadamia
Bottom Row: Hibiscus & Coconut Water

Top Row: Coco Flamingo (lolwut?) Body Polish and Body Oil and Body Lotion and Hand & Nail Oil

Bottom Row: Inecto Tropical Coconut Infusion Shower Gel and Body Lotion and Body Spray
Inecto Lime & Mint Coconut Infusion Shower Gel and Body Lotion and Body Spray

I’ve never heard of Coco Flamingo before but how adorbs is the all-pink packaging? As for Inecto, I’ve purchased a handful of Hair Care products from them in the past (here and here). I thought they were mainly a hair care brand, but I guess they’ve branched out?

Little Helper Argan Hand & Nail Cream and Super Scrub Coconut Body Scrub and Superbly Smoothing Coconut Body Lotion and Little Savior Coconut Hand & Nail Cream

Hmmm… who is copying whom (Bath & Body Works or Inecto or coincidence)?

New Makeup Brand Glam’s

Never heard of it before, but seems overpriced… and boring.

Korean Beauty

I wish we had bigger displays and way more products and more reasonable prices and that they were all included in the Buy 1 Get 1 Free promos. Mostly though, I wish we had actual Korean Beauty Products, instead of “Korean Beauty-Inspired” Products. From the adorable anthropomorphic packaging to the delightful scents to less common feature ingredients to the fun consistency, Korean Beauty never disappoints. As long as you’re into K-Beauty or you’re a skincare junkie or you just like cute things, you’re sure to find something! They work great as gift bag fillers (tween birthday party) or as stocking stuffers! You could even grab several sheet masks, a lip balm and a hand cream, package them together and gift them to a friend as an intro to K-Beauty (starter set)!

Oh K! Snail Sheet Mask retails for KD 4/250

For a bright “gwang” complexion our deeply hydrating Snail Sheet Mask is formulated using snail mucin which works to intensely moisturise the skin.

Snail Secretion Filtrate is rich in nutrients such as hyaluronic acid, glycoproteins and enzymes which work with chamomile flower extract to soothe and calm the skin for an even skin tone.

Eww lol but I actually bought a pack of something similar (set of snail sheet masks from a different brand) when I was in Thailand and prior to that I got them from Missha in Dubai (I wanna’ say 2011). If you think these are gross, just know that it gets grosser lol There’s Bird Poop Sheet Masks and the list goes on and on.

Sugu Calm & Cool Sheet Mask with Cucumber retails for KD 2/500

Keep calm and say farewell to redness and irritation! The SUGU Cooling Sheet Mask is formulated with calming cucumber to soothe unsettled skin, leaving your face feeling refreshed and revived. Lie back and relax as the skin cooling properties of cucumber work their magic.

Sugu Glowing Skin Sheet Mask with Egg White retails for KD 2/500

Egg on your face can’t be good right? Wrong! The SUGU Balancing Sheet Mask is formulated with protein-rich egg white to give lacklustre skin a boost.

Oh K! Sweet Peach Scented Detangle Brush retails for KD 5/000

This cute brush from our Oh K! range doesn’t pull or snag, can be used on wet or dry hair and radiates the luscious scent of sweet peach as you brush.

Surprisingly, I also spotted scented Hair Brushes on Amazon UK (way back when), but they just sat in my online shopping cart. This was way cuter, except I hate the smell of Peaches.

Oh K! Jasmine Hand Cream (limited edition grey packaging) and Cherry Blossom Hand Cream (panda packaging) retail for KD 3/500 each

Bring happiness to your everyday skincare with jasmine or cherry blossom scented moisturizing and nourishing hand cream in grey bear or panda shaped pots!

Oh K! White Peach Bear Lip Balm retails for KD 2/500

This cute animal lip balm will help keep your lips soft and moisturized. Scented with Asian Inspired White Peach Fragrance.

Mavala Double Lash for longer, fuller, thicker lashes

I don’t ‘x with Lash Treatments (despite all the rave reviews), because I’ve heard that one of side-effects is the permanent darkening of your natural eye color. For example, if you were born with blue or green or hazel or light brown eyes, after regularly using a Lash Treatment, your natural eye color would change to a dark brown. I’m not sure how true that is, but I certainly don’t wanna’ risk it, especially not from a brand like Mavala, which I thought was only known for their Nail Polish and Nail Care products (previously hauled here).

Come to think of it, I have actually tried a few of those Lash Treatments from Physician’s Formula (2-in-1 Lash Boosting Serum) and Urban Decay (Lush Lash System), when they first started trending many years ago, but those were sorta’ multi-purpose products (it felt safer) from brands I already knew and loved (and more importantly, trusted). Still, if you wanna’ risk it for a biscuit, the Mavala Double Lash is being sold directly at the cash register at Boots (Avenues).
