Spotted at Bath & Body Works (Water Collection)

Here’s an in-depth look at all the products in the Water Collection! As I mentioned earlier (here), they had a promo going on and despite the sticker price, all full-size items were on sale for only KD 2/750 which was a total steal! I’ll be going over the products below in more detail.

Everything about the Water Collection just appealed to me so much, from the name and theme, to the blue packaging, down to the star ingredient (Hyaluronic Acid)! In fact, it strongly reminded me of my beloved long-discontinued Lancome Aqua Fusion Collection and Limited Edition MAC Alluring Aquatic Collection and even the E.L.F. Hydrating Water Collection, basically any Water-Themed Collection. Worthy of note, this is the very first collection from Bath & Body Works to feature Hyaluronic Acid! The fact that the Water Collection was released during a time when I happened to be struggling with dry skin was quite lucky!

The scent on all the products in the Water Collection was fresh and just so lovely (kinda’ like the CocoaShea Cucumber Really Refreshing Foaming Scrub (haulage here), only much lighter! Even though Bath & Body Works love making stuff up for their descriptions, I’ll leave you with their official description.

A clean, lightly fragranced splash of crystal-clear H2O

Hyalur-wha? If you’re wondering what Hyaluronic Acid is, we’re here to help. Naturally found in the body, this powerful ingredient retains up to 1,000x its weight in water to instantly replenish moisture for smooth, hydrated skin. It’s a skin-saver. And, proof that yes, Water Is Everything.

I’ll try to go over everything in the same order shown.

Water Collection Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Body Cream

Over by the check-out counter (which is where they usually stash all the minis and what I affectionately refer to as the aisle of doom) I noticed that this stuff was also available in a cute and portable travel-size. Now normally I would’ve gone with the mini. However, since all the full-size products were being sold for only KD 2/750 (which is actually what the minis usually retail for) I decided to take advantage of the current promo and get the full-size version instead, despite the fact that I’m still working my way through a handful of other Body Moisturizers at the moment.

The Hydrating Body Cream made my skin feel velvety soft, if a smidge greasy (pre-absorption) kinda’ like the Bath & Body Works 24 Hour Moisture Ultra Shea Body Creams actually, and look so hydrated and healthy that I just couldn’t pass it up! I strongly believe that the Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Body Cream is going to be a total game-changer (for my skin, at least) during Winter!

Water Collection Hyaluronic Acid Body Gel Lotion

I had a difficult time deciding between the Body Cream and the Body Gel Lotion. Both of them were excellent moisturizers that made my skin feel soft and hydrated! However, unlike the Body Cream which took a bit longer to absorb (felt a tiny bit greasy before it was fully absorbed) the Body Gel Lotion absorbed pretty quickly (you just had to work it into your skin until it was fully absorbed). The main reason I was obsessed with this stuff though, was because it had a fun and addictive gel-to-water texture! I’d squeeze out a small amount of gel and watch it turn into water as soon as I’d start rubbing it into my skin! Also, this stuff felt so light and refreshing… and this might just be my imagination, but slightly cooling too! In fact, I’d classify the Hyaluronic Acid Body Gel Lotion as a perfect Summer Moisturizer (deets here)! Had this been available as a mini, I totally would’ve purchased it (to stash in my handbag) alongside the full size version, because I’ve just been enjoying the Hyaluronic Acid Body Gel Lotion (the texture more so than anything) that much!

Water Collection Face & Body Mist

This looked oh-so-cute and more importantly quite promising, but I was going to get something similar from the Sea-Tox Collection and I already have way too many Face & Body Mists to begin with, so I couldn’t justify getting both. Still, the delightful scent of all the products in the Water Collection makes this worth getting so if you’re in the market for a Face & Body Mist, I’d suggest giving this a try (test it out in-store first though).

If you didn’t already know, Bath & Body Works and Victoria’s Secret are owned by the same company, so if you switch out the colors, the packaging of the Bath & Body Works Water Collection Face & Body Mist could totally pass for the Victoria Secret Fresh & Clean Body Mist (haulage here).

Water Collection Mineral Bath Soak

If you know someone, or you yourself tend to enjoy a good soak every now and again, then get this as a gift for that someone or as a pick-me-up for yourself. I prefer showers over baths so… hard pass.

Also, again, if you switch out the colors, the packaging is near identical to the horrid Victoria’s Secret Shampoo & Conditioner Duo (my first foray into their products) that I purchased from VaVaVoom (Marina Mall) years and years ago as a teen.

Water Collection Aqua Burst Body Wash

Now this I can get behind! First of all, aesthetics. The whole thing just looks so appealing! It’s peek-a-boo transparent, so you get a peek at the Body Wash housed inside which just so happens to blue (so cool!) with pearly “Vitamin E Beads” (that burst when you squeeze them) suspended in the blue Body Wash. The only thing I didn’t like is the reflective silver flip-top cap (why wasn’t it blue as well? just kidding, I’m not that petty). I disliked the cap because it’s not the best at dispensing the Body Wash. You have to really squeeze the container to get the Body Wash to come out. It’s not so much of a problem with a full container, but once you reach below the half-way mark, I foresee it becoming an issue.

I know it might not sound like it, but I’m actually really happy with the Aqua Burst Body Wash, because quite frankly I was getting sick of overpowering scents. This stuff was refreshingly light and neutral (nothing overly sweet or overly anything honestly). I mean, I didn’t really need another Body Wash (since I’m all stocked up for the next 5 years or so), but the Aqua Burst Body Wash looked so appealing (I almost wanna’ drink it) and smelled delightful! Plus, there’s no such thing as having too many Shower Gels and Body Wash, at least not in my book. It’s also available in an equally cool travel size (shown at the bottom of the post).

Water Collection Mineral Body Polish

I’ve mentioned my dislike for oil-based Body Scrubs before, but this stuff was so different from anything I’ve tried before! It made my skin insanely soft! It was one of the products I tested out at the sink actually (with the help of the wonderful sales assistant at the Mishref Co-Op branch). It was quite oily which normally annoys me, but it also had a very fine yet sufficiently course grit to it (sea-salt). That said, it’s also gentle enough for use on the more delicate areas of the body (face, chest, etc…). I mean this stuff exfoliated my skin beautifully while simultaneously hydrating it! So basically, witchcraft. I’d scoop out a small dollop using my fingers, leaving tracks on the surface of the gorgeous blue Body Polish, only for it to smooth itself out (making it look pristine and untouched) shortly after, like magic! If you’re only getting one thing from the entire Water Collection, make it the Mineral Body Polish!

Water Collection Moisture-Lock Body Balm

So cute! However, I’ve already purchased one from Boscia awhile ago and from E.L.F. (haulage here) more recently. As such, I had to skip this baby, unfortunately.

Now since this stuff is blue, I feel like you might possibly get away with gifting it to the man/men in your life as a subtle hint that the condition of their skin (particularly their elbows) makes you feel… sad.

Water Collection Hyaluronic Acid Sheet Mask retails for KD 1/500

Say hello to a perfect dewy complexion with our Hyaluronic Acid Sheet Mask! This refreshing sheet mask features Hyaluronic Acid to revitalize thirsty skin & give you a healthy looking glow.

Even Bath & Body Works are getting in on the Sheet Mask action! As far as I’m concerned, the more brands that jump on the Sheet Mask bandwagon, the better! I love a good Sheet Mask as much as the next girl, but this stuff also contains Hyaluronic Acid! Obviously, I had to pick one up to try it out at home. Goes without saying, but if I end up liking it, I’m definitely going to go back to stock up.

Water Collection Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Body Cream (travel size)

Mini version of the Body Cream (see full-size version above for more details)

This is great for those who aren’t sure if they’d like to commit to the much larger full size. It’s not exactly a try-before-you-buy thing, because you actually have to pay for these minis lol but it’s better than purchasing the full size, only to realize that you don’t actually like the stuff. It’s great for stashing in your desk at work, or locker at school, or in your handbag for on-the-go touch-ups, etc… I’d say car, but in Kuwait’s merciless sun, that’s a surefire way to expedite its expiration. I’m always forgetting to moisturize before stepping out of the house so I’ve got at least one of these minis in any given handbag. I was actually gonna’ purchase the mini version of this stuff, but since the full size was on sale for KD 2/750 due to the promo, I went with that instead.

Water Collection Aqua Burst Body Wash (travel size)

Mini version of the Body Wash (see full-size version above for more details)

Also great for those who aren’t sure if they’d like to commit to the much larger full size. This way, you get about a week’s worth or so of Body Wash to help you make up your mind. Also, it’s nice and portable so you can take it with you on shorter trips out of the country, or to the chalet, or to the gym, etc… I’m always lamenting the fact that minis weren’t a thing when I was growing up, because they’re just so darn cute convenient!

  2. Everything looks so gooooodddd. I am staying clear of all these products for a while coz i got hit with an eczema attack recently. Sigh!!! Some day!

  3. Sorry to hear about your eczema attack. If you get a chance to go to B&BW just try the Body Polish (on a small patch of skin) at one of their sinks and see for yourself how gentle yet hydrating it can be on the skin. It might help. Eczema sucks :(

  4. Yeah, i might take you up on that. Hyaluronic Acid really got me interested. And yes, eczema sucks esp when you have no freaking clue whats causing this :(
