If you check out my Spotted at The Body Shop post (linkage here), you’ll see every single item purchased in this haul and more! Unfortunately, these babies were on Sale when I purchased them and although the Sale is now over, they’ve currently got a Buy 2, Get 2 Free promo going on at the moment, which is equally sweet (if not better)! I picked up a Concealer and an Eye Cream, while the rest are all Skincare and Hair Care and Shower Gels, all of which smell amazing! If you’re planning on picking up a few things from The Body Shop, now is the time, because they’ve got a Buy 2 Get 2 Free deal!
Atlantic Seaweed Cream Revitalising Body Gel-Cream retails for KD 15/000 but I got it for KD 7/500
On the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, women have always believed in the reviving power of the sea and its algae to revitalise their body. Full of oceanic minerals, Atlantic seaweed is infused in a water-breaking cream that instantly refreshes skin in hydration. Use this invigorating gel-cream as part of our revitalising ritual when you want your body and mind to feel instantly re-energised.
I’ll be honest, I picked this up mostly because it smelled ridiculously good (like a fancy spa)! My skin has been dry AF lately and I needed a decent moisturizer. In the past, I would’ve gone for one of their Body Butters (in the rounded tubs), but lately those just seem to sit on top of my skin (without fully absorbing into it) and even worse, start to ball up on my skin, which other than looking gross is super annoying! That’s why I opted for this Gel-Cream which is meant to be a water-breaking cream (dunno’ what that even means, but it sure does sound good lawl). Also, this stuff literally has the word “Seaweed” in its name and I love anything and everything that has Seaweed! It’s even got a fun seafoam green tint to it and a very pleasant texture. Plus, the price was half off (which was too good to pass up). Best of all, I found the scent to be absolutely delightful! There was a whole bunch of other products in the Spa of the World Collection (including Scrubs and other Creams, all of which you can see for yourselves in an earlier post, here) in a wide variety of all kinds of different scents, but the Atlantic Seaweed Cream had already stolen my heart!
Brittany Coast Algae Body Wash (mini) Revitalising Bath & Shower Gel retails for KD 2/000 but I got it for KD 1/000
Excite your senses and awaken your skin when you lather up with our revitalising bath and shower gel. Enriched with sea algae extract from the Brittany Coast, this indulgent, soap-free formula leaves you feeling irresistibly refreshed and powerfully revived.
Seaweed. Algae. My inner-mermaid (every one of us has one, admit it) just can’t resist products that contain some form or other of the stuff. It doesn’t even have to be in the name. It can just state “sea-weed infused” or “algae-infused“… in tiny illegible print… on the back and I’d still covet the thing! Also, for whatever reason, I find myself getting more and more irritated by most of my candy-scented Shower Gels (of which I have many) which is really taking the fun out of it for me, because honestly, to me, showering isn’t just showering, it’s so much more than that. It’s an experience… that I fully immerse myself in. Life is hard… for everyone… and I find that a little extra pampering in the shower gives me just the boost I need (it doesn’t fix anything whatsoever, let’s but clear about that, but recharges or “energizes” me) so I’m ready to tackle whatever is thrown my way. Using a Shower Gel with a scent I find annoying detracts from the overall experience and frankly defeats the purpose of using a scented Shower Gel, or so I believe. Don’t get me wrong. I still love my Gourmands, just not as much during the Summer. I sniffed several Shower Gels in-store, but the Brittany Coast Algae Body Wash smelled blatantly masculine (unisex my foot) and gave me strong oceanic vibes, which I tend to find very appealing! Since I already had way too many Shower Gels (mostly from B&BW) and this was available in mini form, I decided to purchase it instead, so I could try it out at home before committing to the much larger, full size.
Both of these are part of the Spa of the World range. The only product I’ve ever purchased from the Spa of the World range is this Body Mask Brush (haulage here) so I’m pretty excited to try out actual products from the Spa of the World Collection! Also, despite being plastic, the packaging looks way more sophisticated in comparison with their regular line, so there’s that too. I definitely recommend you find the one that appeals to you the most and give it a shot (maybe try the mini, first)!
Nigritella (Oriental Orchid) Shower Gel retails for KD 6/000 but I got it for KD 3/000
This shower gel will cleanse and fragrance your skin with the scent of Nigritella. A luxurious floral blend with notes of red vanilla orchid, this fragrance is enhanced with an opulent hint of tuberose and vanilla for fiery sensuality.
If you read my Spotted at The Body Shop post (linkage here), you’ll remember I was quite taken with the Nigritella Fragrance Collection which consisted of a Perfume and Shower Gel. I kept sniffing it over and over again, but just couldn’t decide whether I actually liked it or not. Rather than committing to a full size of both the Perfume and Shower Gel only to realize back home that I didn’t actually like the scent (I’m looking at you, Smoky Rose), I decided to only purchase the Shower Gel for now (and to see over time if I actually like it or not). Since they were about to close up shop for the night, I was kinda’ in a hurry and it totally slipped my mind to check for the Shower Gel in mini form, which is why I just grabbed the full size instead. The scent on Nigritella (Oriental Orchid) was quite puzzling. Every time I’d sniff it, I’d be reminded of Arabic Tea (weird, huh?) complete with Palm Water (ugh) and Saffron. With use, it dawned on me that Nigritella was so familiar to me because it smelled like the Ultra Sleek range of Hair Care products from Giovanni Cosmetics (haulage here) with the feature ingredient being Moroccan Argan Oil! That said, if you’re not feelin’ this particular scent, I believe The Body Shop have got about 4 other Fragrances in the range, each with their own correlating Shower Gel (and equally absurd names) to choose from!
Early-Harvest Raspberry Shower Gel retails for KD 6/000 but I got it for KD 3/000
Unleash a burst of berry fragrance with our Early-Harvest Raspberry Shower Gel, enriched with cold-pressed oil and Community Trade honey from our partners in Ethiopia, the lather-rich formula gently cleanses skin and leaves it scented with a sweet berry fragrance.
I really, really loved the Frosted Plum Shower Gel (haulage here) but apparently it was a limited edition. So, I got this stuff in the hopes that it might smell the same (not so much sweet and fruity, as much as just clean and fruity and dare I say it, sexy) or at least be in the same ballpark.
So these are all the Shower Gels I got in this haul. If there’d been more time and I hadn’t been in such a rush, I probably would’ve purchased all of them in mini size (so I could test out the smaller versions before committing to a larger size), but like I said earlier, it totally slipped my mind.
Strawberry Clearly Glossing Conditioner (mini) retails for KD 1/500 but I got it for KD 1/000
Revive dull hair with our Strawberry Clearly Glossing Conditioner, leaving your locks smoother, shinier and smelling of fresh Italian strawberries. Formulated without silicones, the 100% vegan formula makes detangling easier for moisturised, delicious-smelling hair.
Who wouldn’t want their hair to smell like strawberries, amiright or amiright? Also, at this point, I’ve probably tried every other product from their Strawberry range, aside from this particular one. Honestly, I didn’t even know they sold Strawberry Conditioner until I saw this thing. If it sucks, it was only KD 1 and if it works out, I can always go back and pick it up in the full size.
These are the only Minis I got in this haul.
I was most excited about the Banana Collection!
Banana Truly Nourishing Conditioner retails for KD 3/500 but according to the receipt I only payed KD 2/000
Enriched with deliciously ripe Community Trade organic banana puree from Ecuador, this delightfully fragrant conditioner deeply nourishes hair and leaves it feeling softer and looking shinier.
I actually purchased the mini-size of the Banana Conditioner at the beginning of the year (haulage here) and fell so in love with it that I repurchased it in the full size! In fact, this thing is what instigated the whole Banana kick that I’m currently on!
Banana Truly Nourishing Hair Mask retails for KD 6/000 but I got it for KD 4/000
Featuring a delicious blend of Community Trade natural-origin ingredients, including organic banana puree from Ecuador and Brazil nut oil from Peru. Enriched with Brazilian cupuaçu, this 100% vegan, once-a-week treatment leaves hair feeling intensely nourished from root-to-tip. Locks look less frizzy and instantly shinier, all without weighing them down.
The previous product was Banana Conditioner whereas this thing is a Banana Hair Mask, two completely different things… yup. So my hair, like my skin has been pretty dry lately. I figure since this stuff is meant to be nourishing, it’ll make my hair be less dry or at least feel less dry. Plus, I’m hoping that if I use the Banana Conditioner and the Banana Hair Mask back-to-back, the delightful scent would last that much longer (a.k.a. layering) in my hair!

The Banana Body Yogurt was a totally new product (they had a launch party with live music and everything) and came in several different scents (more deets here). It wasn’t on Sale (since it was new), but I just couldn’t resist picking one of them up. Normally, I would’ve gone with Strawberry, but as I mentioned earlier, I’ve been having an issue with overly sweet scents tending to annoy me, as of late. Plus, I’m currently on a Banana kick! The scent on this thing is… yummy! It also has a lovely whipped gel consistency! In fact, it seems suspiciously similar to their Body Sorbet (haulage here) which I classified as a Summer Moisturizer (in-depth review here). Plus, the Special Edition packaging is playful and fun!
Strawberry Body Yogurt (sample)
Life’s too short for waiting – jump straight into your jeans with our Strawberry Body Yogurt. The new, lightweight formula absorbs instantly and provides up to 48 hours of moisture. Apply to damp skin straight after showering for skin that feels smoother and never sticky, with the scent of sweet, juicy strawberries. The gel-cream is 100% vegan, enriched with strawberry juice and Community Trade organic almond milk from Spain.
I didn’t wanna’ miss out on a potential favorite, so I asked for a sample of the Strawberry Body Yogurt and the Sales Assistant kindly scooped out a little bit into the tiny sample jar for me. I figure I could use this stuff in the comforts of my own home and take my sweet time making up my mind on whether I liked it or not, rather than picking up 2 full sized Body Yogurts and end up not liking either one. That said, I’m currently obsessed with the Banana Body Yogurt mainly because it has a light gel consistency and smells absolutely delicious!
Banana Body Yogurt – Banana Hair Conditioner – Banana Hair Mask
Drops of Youth Youth Bouncy Eye Mask retails for KD 12/000 but I got it for KD 7/000
Enriched with cucumber extract and plant stem cells, our Youth Bouncy Eye Mask can be applied to instantly give tired eyes a powernap*, or used as an overnight mask to wake up with skin that looks younger and feels healthier. This refreshing, non-sticky formula helps address the first signs of ageing to help skin bounce back to a more youthful appearance.
– Bouncy, memory-shape texture
– 100% vegan
– Enriched with cucumber extract and Community Trade organic babassu oil from Brazil
– With 3 plant stem cells: edelweiss from the Italian alps, criste marine and sea holly from the Brittany coast
– Instantly cools down skin around your eyes by -1.5°C*
I’d asked for a sample of this stuff earlier in the year (haulage here) and enjoyed it enough to spring for the full size (which just so happened to be on sale)! True to their claims, this Eye Mask actually does have a slight cooling effect! I don’t know about you, but I think that’s pretty cool (couldn’t resist)! Also, whenever I apply this stuff, it makes strangely satisfying crackling noises (bouncy memory-shape texture, I guess)! Most important of all is the fact that whenever this stuff gets in my eyes (which is pretty much every single time because I usually start off applying it to my under-eye area but always end up taking it too far up) it does not burn! It gives me foggy vision and my eyes go a bit red, but that’s pretty much it! I only ever apply this stuff to my eyes (in conjunction with the Sephora Intensive Instant Moisture+ Cream to the rest of my face) about an hour or so before going to bed, and wash it all off in the morning, so I can’t attest to how it performs under makeup or whatever. Regardless, I’ve really been enjoying it (so far)!
Matte Clay Concealer in the shade Japanese Maple (034) retails for KD 5/000 but I got it for KD 3/000
Introducing a new make-up must-have for blemish-prone skin. Conceal skin imperfections throughout the day with our 100% vegan Matte Clay Concealer. This lightweight concealer is enriched with skin-clearing tea tree and leaves a breathable, yet full-coverage matte finish. For skin that looks visibly clearer, use this beauty essential alone for a fast-drying natural finish or team with our Matte Clay Foundation for a lasting flawless finish look.
– Full-coverage, matte finish
– Conceals imperfections, blemishes, and dark circles
– Enriched with Community Trade tea tree oil
– Sweat & humidity resistant
– Ideal for any skin type
– Breathable 24-hour coverage
I’ve been meaning to pick up the Benefit Boi-ing Concealer in the newer updated packaging, but couldn’t decide on the proper shade and the Sales Assistant at Sephora kept shoving literally every other product in my face so I had to walk away. When I spotted these Matte Clay Concealers at The Body Shop in extremely similar packaging, I swatched a few and decided on the shade Japanese Maple. Recently, I’ve stopped applying concealer to my under-eye area, opting instead to either smoke out my lower lash-line dragging the shadow way down or popping some highlight on the inner two-third of my lower lash-line and also dragging it down… to enhance my under-eye bags (it’s a thing in Korea, okay?). That said, I do apply some concealer to those vertical lines, that sorta’ start off right where my under-eye bags end (near my nose) and only blend it along the line. I’ve found that this stuff is perfect for that! It’s supposed to be resistant to sweat and humidity (which is every other day, in Kuwait) and it’s got tea tree oil. I’ve only used it twice, but so far, I’m diggin’ it!
Green Tea and Lemon Mattifying Moisturiser For Men (sample) + Strawberry Body Yogurt (sample)
Moisturise your face for up to 24 hours with this light gel moisturiser. Enriched with green tea and lemon and Community Trade organic aloe vera , this translucent moisturiser glides over skin effortlessly and sinks in to mattify your complexion throughout the day.
Lastly, for my second sample (you are only allowed to ask for 2 samples at The Body Shop and even then, it’s only up to a certain amount, which is just a little over half the tiny sample jar, and even then only if you actually buy something), I asked for the Green Tea Lemon Mattifying Moisturiser For Men. The Sales Assistant kept reiterating that it was “for men”, as if that was supposed to deter me. This stuff smelled amazing! It was all Green Tea and Lemons! Basically, pre-packaged freshness! I believe there was another Moisturizer (For Men) in the same line, that came in the scent Coffee and something or other, but this one just spoke to me! Both Moisturizers were new. The other sample jar (pink) is the Strawberry Body Yogurt I mentioned above, which is also new.
I’m pretty stoked about my haulage! Everything I chose was quite “practical” and most of them smell ah-mazing! I’m also pleased about the fact that almost everything I picked up was significantly marked down from the original asking price (aside from the new Banana Body Yogurt). Now, if you happen to be interested in anything mentioned here or anything in the Spotted at The Body Shop post (here), they’ve currently got a Buy 2, Get 2 Free promo going on at the moment, so now is the time!
