After my previous candy and chocolates haul (Sultan Center Snacks Haulage), I figured it was only fitting that I talk about dental care. It’s not exactly the most exciting thing in the world but toothpaste is vital! So, let’s talk about toothpaste…
Even though I haven’t had much luck with Whitening Toothpastes (Colgate Optic White) in the past, I was interested in Close Up White Now. If I’m being honest, the blue packaging is what drew me in because I thought it looked cool. In case you can’t read what it says on the packaging they claim “clinically proven instantly whiter teeth after just one brushing”. The previous Whitening Toothpaste that I was using earlier (Colgate Optic White) claimed you could notice a result after a minimum of one week, but White Now promise instant results (after just one brushing) which is a pretty bold claim. Needless to say that’s all it was, a claim, seeing as how I didn’t notice any difference at all. Also, because this was a gel, I didn’t feel it was toothpaste-y enough for me. What I mean by that is, it wasn’t as frothy as I wanted it to be. Nice to try but I’m over it and won’t be repurchasing Close Up White Now anytime soon. I trashed it as soon as I finished the tube, forgetting to take a photo for the blog.
I grabbed the nearest toothpaste (because I’d run out and it was an emergency) from the convenience store located behind my home, which turned out to be Signal Fresh Mint. Straight away, I noticed a huge difference! Unlike those other Whitening Toothpastes (Colgate Optic White and Close Up White Now) that I’d been using in the past, Signal Fresh Mint frothed up nicely, which was quite satisfying because it made me feel like my mouth was super clean! It was nice and minty as well, which I found so refreshing, especially in comparison with the previous two. Overall, I wouldn’t say Signal Fresh Mint was my favorite, but it definitely shed some light on how un-enjoyable and un-refreshing Whitening Toothpastes can be (at least for me) which is why I think I’ll be sticking to regular toothpaste from now on.
Colgate Plax Fresh Tea Mouthwash was purchased from Sultan Center on a whim. I like that this came in Fresh Tea because I tend to enjoy having a variety of flavors and scents in most of my products. In fact, I wish we had more to choose from rather than only the boring selection available. I really like Colgate Plax Fresh Tea Mouthwash but I’ve only used about 25% of it so far (as you can see). At this point, I’m still leaning more towards Colgate Optic White Mouthwash but Colgate Plax Fresh Tea Mouthwash is a very, very close second!
