Hauled it earlier (here) from Sultan Center but I’m pretty sure you can find this Garnier Pure Active Fruit Energy Gel Wash at most local cooperatives in the country. I couldn’t decided between this Gel Wash or the Gel Scrub Wash (that had little exfoliating beads suspended in the liquid). Normally, I’d opt for the latter but for some reason the packaging on the Gel Wash really appealed to me, which is why I got it.
Cute! It actually looks like something I’d wanna’ drink! Not that I really would because… grapefruit (blech) but the imagery and color of the packaging and everything else just spoke to me. Plus, key words like “Energising” (all about that life) and “Gel” (possibly favorite texture) and all the extracts got me excited about using this stuff. I’d use it first thing in the morning (on its own) but my face didn’t feel as oil-free as I’d hoped, yet it still somehow managed to dry out my skin (Salicylic Acid). That’s fine though because this is meant to be a wash not a scrub. I started using this stuff in conjunction with a face scrub in the shower. Sometimes I’d use it after using a face scrub (which would mattify my skin) and sometimes before using a face scrub (so the scrub would have a cleaner surface… or something). I dunno, I just liked to alternate depending on my mood. It had that chemical acne wash scent mixed in with a grapefruit scent which together created a scent that strongly reminded me of that horrid Satsuma scent from The Body Shop. With that being said, the scent of this stuff actually grew on me.
I’m glad I got to try this out however Neutrogena Pink Grapefruit Acne Wash is definitely a much better alternative.
