I was at Perfume & Makeup Exhibition (Mishref Fair Grounds) back in October, when I came across the Safi booth. They were selling a bunch of “natural” skincare which I wasn’t really interested in. I did notice that they had Swiss Line products in a corner of their booth as well. Now if you’re not familiar with them, “Swiss Line is a revolutionary, anti-aging skincare brand.” You can read all about them on their website – here. Their products are nothing short of excellent. I just never knew where to find them in Kuwait, until now.
Swiss line was developed to bridge the gap between science-led skincare and cosmetic skincare. The cellular-based medical-grade anti-aging formulations offer the discerning customer not only measurable results, but also luxurious textures and sophisticated packaging.
This lightweight, fast-penetrating gel-cream quickly infuses skin with an innovative moisturizing complex. It instantly quenches the skin’s thirst, calms it, and leaves no oily residue. Skin feels refreshed from within.
– Very strong anti-oxidant properties.
– Aquarich® powerfully reduces trans-epidermal water loss and binds moisture in the epidermis.
– Keeps skin elastic and moisture all day long.
Aquarich® Complex: derived from black oat (Avena strigosa) extract which has a strengthening effect on the skin’s barrier functions and provides the skin with essential nutrients.
Beta Glucan: enables the skin to bind water more effectively, it stimulates cell renewal rate and it boosts the immune system in the skin. It also acts as an anti-oxidant.
Lecithin: an essential component of every living cell as well as of the sealing substance (responsible for the barrier function) in the epidermis.
Hyaluronic Acid: a naturally occurring polysaccharide, acts as a “molecular sponge” trapping and holding water
I wasn’t about to stop at the Safi booth, up until I noticed the Aqua Vitale Gel-Cream chilling all nonchalant on one of the shelves, so I made a beeline towards it and asked the nice lady if I could test some. She obligingly unscrewed the top off the jar and let me scoop up a little bit and rub it on the back of my hand. I had suspected (based solely on the name) that this stuff would be similar to my beloved Aqua Fusion (discontinued) by the brand Lancome. My suspicions were correct! This stuff absorbed into my skin quickly and easily, sufficiently moisturizing it, without any God-awful residue! If you’re a regular reader of my blog, you’ll know how crazy I can get when it comes to residue. I was so impressed with this stuff that I just had to get it, then and there. It was a bit expensive but at the end of the day, Swiss Line is a luxury brand.
The nice lady working there (I feel like it was a family run business but I could be wrong) was even so kind as to include several samples including some Hair Masks and Body Creams. I’d been eyeing up the Lychee Body Scrub so she scooped some in a pot and handed it to me, along with the rest of the samples. All the samples I got were from the Hamam Sharki brand, which as I’ve said earlier focuses on “natural” ingredients.
She even tossed in a Hammam Sharki booklet. I took a few shots of the inside just to show you. They’ve got Cedar Wood range, Rose & Neroli range, Olive Oil range, Honey & Milk range, Imperial Pearl range, Laurel Oil range, and Argan Oil range, just to name a few. Each range has a line of products specific to only that range. Some of the products include Liquid Soaps, bars of Baladi Soap, and Soap Paste. Other products include Shower Gels, Body Scrubs, and Body Creams. They’ve also got Facial Scrubs and Facial Masks as well as Shampoo and Hair Masks. They’ve even got Massage Oils and Aromatherapy Oils. Basically, they’ve got everything you could ever need to have your own “Hamam Maghriby” (which literally translates to Moroccan Bath) experience at home.
This is what what it says on the Hamam Sharki booklet.
Swiss Line Aqua-Vitale Gel-Cream retails for KD30/0000. You can find the locations for Safi and by extension Swiss Line and Hammam Sharki products at the locations printed on the side of the bag.
