Lush Stuff

I found it! I found the actual physical Lush store at The Avenues. Technically, my cousin was the one who led me to it. She shops there regularly because she has sensitive skin and Lush products along with L’Occitane are apparently the only products that won’t irritate her skin.

I picked up D’Fluff Strawberry Shaving Soap, Let The Good Times Roll Face and Body Cleanser, King of Skin Body Butter, Popcorn Lip Scrub, and… I dunno’ what the last one is but I found a bunch of them by the cash register so I picked up one for myself and one for my cousin because they smelled lemon-y.

This is a close-up of the product in question. I wanna’ say it’s a bath bomb only significantly smaller than the regular size, but I could be wrong and it could be something completely different. If anyone knows what this is, please let me know.

Luxury butter bar for royally soft skin
King of Skin is a super buttery in-shower moisturizing bar to make your dry skin softer, smoother, and more flexible. Supremely softening freshly mashed bananas and avocados are whipped into a luxurious blend of coconut oil and cocoa and shea butters. And to soothe irritated skin, we’ve also added oat milk and calming lavender oil. Bow down!

It’s also shaped like a crown which I thought was a cute touch!

Our fresh and fruity shaving soap will have you dreaming of summer picnics every time you take a whiff. We’ve whipped fresh strawberries and egg whites with moisturizing rosehip oil, cocoa butter and coconut oil into a light, marshmallowy soap that softens skin when you shave with it. Plus, all those hydrating ingredients keep post-shaving redness to a minimum!

People are always singing this stuff praises on YouTube so I figured I might as well give it a try. Plus, it’s pink!

This face and body cleanser is a gentle treat for the skin, leaving you soft to the touch with a buttery popcorn fragrance. Maize flour and polenta gently exfoliate, whilst cinnamon powder stimulates and leaves you feeling fresh and revived, with beautifully soft skin. This gentle yet scrubby cleanser will soothe and soften your skin, giving it a natural glow.

They had me at buttery popcorn fragrance <3

Who wouldn’t want to taste like popcorn?

Lush can seem more like dinner ingredients rather than skincare products as they can be quite messy at times. Their actual physical stores are all in less than ideal places (read: so far away). Their online stores delete all their client’s accounts (in their entirety including past orders, etc…) at the end of the year, just to have everyone sign up all over again at the beginning of the next year. Another issue is if I don’t hop to it quick, I end up forgetting what the products – with no packaging – are and how to use them (case in point, see mysterious product above). Due to all of the reasons I’ve stated above (and then some), I go through these phases with Lush where I’m so over them but then something reignites my love for them and I’ll become obsessed with Lush all over again. Popcorn Face and Body Cleanser and Popcorn Lip Scrub is giving me life so at the moment, I’m totally lovin’ Lush!
