Bath and Body Works Winter Holiday Collection + Fall Collection

Even though I’m down to my last Deep Cleansing Hand Soap (in the scent Dark Kiss) I was kinda’ avoiding Bath and Body Works because I wanted to wait until their semi-annual sale to replenish my stock. That said, I was at the Avenues when I spotted my beloved Vanilla Bean Noel and pretty much ran to Bath and Body Works to pick it up and to see what else they had in stock. You know you’re a B&BW-addict and go there waaay too often, when the sales assistant (whom by chance, had transferred from the Marina Mall branch to the Avenues Mall branch) not only recognizes you, and not only remember your preferences (“Cotton Candy Candles and everything Vanilla Bean Noel, right?”) but also keeps track of your visits (“We haven’t seen you at Marina for months now. We were starting to get worried,” said with a completely straight face)!

Since the semi-annual sale was coming up soon, I tried to hold back.

Only purchasing a few must-haves.

These are from the Winter/Holiday 2016 Collection.

These are from the Fall 2016 Collection.

Done. Blog post, over. Juuust kidding!

The haulage.

Pumpkin Spiced Cheesecake: Spiced Pumpkin, Whipped Cream Cheese, Graham Cracker Crust

There was a whole slew of pumpkin-scented candles (it goes without saying that none of the more fun pumpkin scents made it to Kuwait) at KD7/000 a pop. I sniffed each and every pumpkin-scented candle, the majority of which had some form of cinnamon in them. For some reason I’ve slowly been growing to strongly dislike (read: despise!) the scent of cinnamon. So I decided on getting 3 Pumpkin Spiced Cheesecake Candles (Buy Two Get One Free deal), which had the least amount of cinnamon in it (if any) and was the only candle that I had liked, initially. I don’t know if it’s the Graham Cracker Crust scent or what, but I found the scent to be incredibly yummy! It kinda’ reminded me of the Banana Nutmeg Bread Pudding Mason Jar Candles in mini-size (hauled – here) and the mini-sized Salty Caramel Candle (hauled – here). Considering the fact that I don’t even like actual caramel and yet actually adore the scent of Pumpkin Spiced Cheesecake Candle is a testament to the scent.

Also how gorgeous are the Rose-Gold lids? Rose-Gold, people. Rose. Gold.

Obligatory shot of the candles from above with the gorgeous rose-gold lids off. I’m also loving the orange! Very Autumnal!

Gorgeous! Just looking at that makes me so happy!

Marshmallow Fireside: Toasted Marshmallow, Smoldering Woods, Fire Roasted Vanilla, Crystallized Amber

I saw this little mini-candle next to the check-out counter and instantly fell in love! How adorable does this look? Even the candle itself is an incredibly beautiful taupe-y lavender grey! Ugh, I can’t. I just can’t!

Even the mirrored lid has a gorgeous intricate snowflake design!

Don’t you just die? I did! I’m dead right now. I’m blogging to you from the after-life. So, so pretty!

At KD1/250 a pop (with a Buy Two Get One Free deal) I just had to get 3 of these ridiculously adorable candles! I believe these were also part of the Fall 2016 Collection. Marshmallow Fireside smells like a straight up masculine scent with some caramel thrown in the mix and a very slight hint of vanilla. I have yet to burn these (since I just got them) but the cold throw on them so far isn’t amazing, which seems to a problem I keep encountering with all the newer, mini-size candles. The true test will be when (and if) I burn them. Either way, I don’t really mind because they look so stinkin’ cute and they’ve got an interesting scent to them!

Next up, we’ve got the one, the only, Vanilla Bean Noooooooooeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel! What can I say about this that I haven’t already said?

Vanilla Bean Noel: A Christmastime treat of fresh vanilla & sugar cookies, inspired by pure comfort and joy

I like my description better “Vanilla on steroids” ^_~

They bring this out in every Winter/Holiday Collection and sometimes I’m late to the ball and actually miss out. That said, my buddy who works there (see first paragraph) legit told me to ditch Vanilla Bean Noel this year because it was basically a weaker version of the iconic Vanilla Bean Noel but let’s be real, I can’t just not buy my beloved Vanilla Bean Noel.

At KD2/500 a pop, I decided to pick up 3 of the travel-size body lotions (with a Buy Two Get One Free deal) in the Vanilla Bean Noel scent. That’s as far as I was willing to go, to “compromise”. That said, he’s not wrong, as the scent does seem “watered down” this year.

Red Velvet Cheer: Indulge in a treat full of Christmas cheer with a blend of festive apple, hot cocoa & winter woods.

At KD4/750 a pop (with a Buy Two Get One Free deal) I picked up Red Velvet Cheer Body Lotion (x2) and a Red Velvet Cheer Shower Gel all full-sized. Again, I’ve yet to use any of these because I just got them and I’m currently working my way through my other stuff. That said, the scent strongly reminds me of home-made Orange Sponge Cake I used to have as kid, which I find intriguing. I can’t wait to use these and see how well the scent performs during actual use!

This is me “holding back”. Overall, I did some damage but not really…

I don’t understand any of that (my eyes just glaze over when it comes to any form of “math”) but the total for the first receipt is KD28/500

I actually asked that my purchases be split into 2 transactions (otherwise I’d end up losing more money). Here’s the second receipt for all 3 mini-size Marshmallow Fireside Candles, KD2/500 in total.

The semi-annual sale is coming up soon (next month, I believe) so I figured I should get this post up, asap.
