Sugary sweet chocolate scrub for sexy, sweet lips. Buff on, lick off!
Awhile ago, I purchased this Lip Scrub from Lush in the flavor Sweet Lips for KD5/000.
Just like the directions said, I rubbed a little on my lips but instead of licking it off, I just wiped it off with a tissue and then licked my lips (which tasted sweet afterwards hence the name Sweet Lips). The scrub was so emollient that it melted as soon as I rubbed it into my lips. Basically, it’s like rubbing sugar on your lips. Unless your lips are in horrible condition (super dry, cracked, chapped, etc…), I don’t see this lip scrub being all that effective due to its emollient texture. I feel like I can make my own home-made version of this sugar-based lip scrub and still get the exact same results. What I’m saying is this little lip scrub is not a must-have but a nice-to-have just the same, if for the novelty factor alone.
Personally, I have my own little lip exfoliating routine that keeps my lips in optimal condition. I don’t believe this Lip Scrub was worth the KD5/000 price tag but it was fun to try out just the same. I mean the packaging was cute and had sustainable weight to it. The scrub itself both tasted and smelled deelish! It just didn’t work as well as I’d hoped it would (which is a problem I seem to come across with most lip scrubs out on the market). Sweet Lips (vanilla and chocolate) was a limited edition flavor. I might pick up another Lip Scrub from Lush (obviously in a different flavor) somewhere down the line, because like I said, this was a fun little product to try out.
