Couture fashion designer Giambattista Valli brings his effortless elegance and celebration of the female form to a collection of timeless lipsticks. Lips take on an air of sophistication in the coral of Tats, pale pink of Bianca B, pure peach of Margherita, regal red of Charlotte and dark cherry of Eugenie. Each bullet features specially designed packaging that’s custom-matched to its lipstick shade.
Bianca B pale white-pink
Tats bright hot pink
Margherita yellow bright peach
Charlotte rich yellow-red
Eugenie dark cherry with blue undertone
How gorgeous are those lipsticks? I die! To be fair, the colors are totally dupeable but the packaging…I die! These retail for KD10/000 each.
So I picked up 4 out of the 5 lipsticks. I totally skipped Biana B. I didn’t even swatch it in-store. I knew it was going to be a chalky hot mess on my pigmented lips and it was going to be a hassle trying to make it work for me.
Check out the packaging. There’s a color-coordinated tab inside listing the ingredients as opposed to the ingredients being printed on the side of the packaging which is due to the design of this collection (or of the packaging at least).
How stinkin’ cute is that? Even the packaging is color-coordinated to the lipsticks.
L-R Margherita, Tats, Charlotte, Eugenie All of the lipsticks in this collection have a matte finish and all of them are limited edition. Honestly, I don’t know why Margherita and Eugenie are spelled that way. I’m not a fan of the names of these lipsticks but I’m assuming they mean something to the designer so whatevs.
L-R Margherita, Tats, Charlotte, Eugenie Finally, here’s a swatch of all of the lipsticks I purchased. I wanted to blog about them first before messing with them which is why they were in pristine condition before I swatched them. Considering I only bought them for the gorgeous packaging and wasn’t expecting much, I was actually surprised by each one of them after trying them on. They look different on me then what I expected. I was sure Margherita would be my favorite but it’s not. The peachiness threw me off. It’s beautiful though and I’m totally going to rock it with some bronzer soon. I was so sure Tats would be unflattering on me but it actually is quite flattering! *Epiphany* Apparently I don’t hate dark pinks… as long as they are matte. I was oh so sure that I would not like Charlotte at all but it’s actually my favorite out of all of them. Since Russian Red is no longer a true red on me (‘cuz I’m no longer a blonde), I’ve been searching for a darker red and Charlotte fits the bill perfectly. I didn’t even know what to think about Eugenie but I was actually pleasantly surprised to find out that it’s actually such a fun shade and I can’t wait to wear it out during Winter. All in all, I’m super excited about these lippies! <3
