MAC Divine Night Collection

div

What happens at night stays there. M•A•C captures the moment when flashing lights illuminate a flair for finery and limitless luxury that can only be described as divine. Gorgeous colours in rich finishes inspire an evening on the scene and to be seen. Enjoy yourself – past midnight, the darkness keeps the secrets.

I only picked up two items from this collection; Kohl Power Eye Pencil (KD7/500) and yet another Mineralize Eyeshadow (KD11/000)

The kohl pencils that were included in this collection were Feline (intense black with black pearl), Mystery (intense black with green pearl), Orpheus (intense black with gold pearl), and Raven (intense black with red pearl). I had my heart set on Mystery but I was told that neither Mystery nor Raven made it to Kuwait. I’ve already used and loved Feline in the past but Feline is part of the permanent line so you can pick it up at any time (good luck finding it in Kuwait though) as opposed to the others which are limited edition. I’m not too upset because MAC will probably re-release them in another holiday collection down the line.

Here’s a close-up of Orpheus.

Here’s a swatch of Orpheus. Hopefully you can see the pearl effect in the photo.

As for the mineralize eyeshadow, out of the 6 mineralize eyeshadow duos, I only picked up Until Dawn (soft gold base / purple taupe) because as we’ve already established I have a thing for mineralize products, and I absolutely love taupe! Plus I liked the gold print on the all black packaging. I know, I know. I keep saying how much I hate gold but it just looks so cool when paired with black! Plus the actual design of the domed eyeshadow duo looked so cute!

Here’s a swatch of Until Dawn. I’ve swatched the larger gold side on my pinky and the smaller taupe side on my ring finger.

Top: Taupe. Bottom: Gold. See? The colors are very wearable.

As always, the effects of mineralize products are subtle. Even in different lighting but add some type of base, water, or fix+

and Bah BAM! The effect is instantly intensified!
