Lavish yourself in opulent azure. Dreamy, ocean blue beautiful nail color. Perfect for spring, summer and anytime you want to escape into bliss.
Laps of Luxury + Lapis Lazuli = Lapis of Luxury. That made me giggle. I find it delightful when beauty items have names that play on words or include puns. Aside from TheBalm and Benefit, nail polishes are usually the only items that have humorous names.
I will always love China Glaze For Audrey which I’ve reviewed here. That said, I find that as I’m growing older, I want something still fun to wear but slightly more sophisticated. The fact that I’ve been bombarded with sales assistants shoving For Audrey dupes while yelling “Tiffany! Tiffany!” at me whenever I so much as glance at a nail polish display, doesn’t really help.
Lapis of Luxury looks to me like a muted, dark cornflower blue with a creme finish. I like the fact that this plays nicely with my arab complexion.
Here’s a close-up, with flash this time. Again, please excuse my sloppy application. I can’t paint my nails properly even if my life depended on it. Anyways, notice how Lapis of Luxury flashes periwinkle. Pretty, pretty!
There we go. It might be an akward photo but I feel it depicts the color accurately. I own a handful of Essie nail polishes and have found that the way they apply can be quite hit or miss. Luckily, Lapis of Luxury applies easily and is fully opaque after 3 coats.
