Haul: Bath and Body Works

I hadn’t been to Bath and Body Works in a long time so I went a little crazy at the semi-annual sale which happens twice a year (once mid-summer, and again mid-winter). A lot of things were 50% off which made me feel dumb for spending x amount through out the year. If you are a normal person who purchases a few things from them, every now and then, I think thats fine but when you’re an addict like me, it really starts to add up. That said, some of the things I purchased this time were also not on sale (I never learn, lawl).

Back Camera

Let’s start with candles. I picked up 5 huge candles in the scents Pineapple Orchid (the biggest), Mint Chocolate, (middle) and Cotton Candy (stacked on top of each other).

Back Camera

I got Pineapple Orchid because I loved the wallflower refill I had previously purchased on recommendation from the Phillipino sales assistant who said he used it for his own home.

Back Camera

I picked up another one of the Mint Chocolate which I had reviewed here and picked a backup of here because this is quickly becoming a staple and I know it’s not always available so I stock up whenever I can find it.

Back Camera

So instead of paying a total of KD20 for both, I got them both for a total of KD10

Back Camera

I already burned Mint Chocolate and finished it but I’m keeping Pineapple Orchid because it’s fragrant enough without me having to burn it, and it looks pretty. That said, I prefer the wallflower refill version of Pineapple Orchid because to me it smells a touch sweeter.

Back Camera

These 3 were not on sale but they smell absolutely heavenly, a perfect combo of sweet mangoes and vanilla, that I just had to get 3. I truly wish they had a whole line of products in this scent. I know I’ve said the Need A Margarita scent was my favorite Bath and Body Works scent but that was only because I wasn’t introduced to the Cotton Candy scent yet. I don’t have the heart to burn these. Instead, I’ve strategically placed them around the house because I’ve noticed that whatever is around them (for example, a box of kleenex tissues) eventually starts to smell like them. These set me back KD7/000 per candle which was money well spent if I do say so myself. Don’t judge me! I already admitted to being a Bath and Body Works addict!

Back Camera

Next up, I got a a couple of full-sized Body Lotions even though I don’t go through these as quickly but since they were on sale, I figured it was a good deal. I picked up Bali Mango because I already had it in the travel size and loved the scent and everyone around me (friends, family.etc…) were always asking to use some of it because they loved the scent as well. I also got Irresistable Apple and have almost finished it up. It has a nice apple scent to it, not sweet, not fruity, just a clean delicate fragrance. I got Winter Candy Apple because everyone on youtube is always raving about it but I haven’t gotten around to using it yet because I’m still working my way through Irresitable Apple. Lastly, Vanilla Bean Noel is straight up vanilla-y goodness and after using it for a couple of times, someone asked for it so I gave it to them.

Back Camera

These were KD3/500 normally but on sale they cost KD1/750 each.

Back Camera

I also picked up a couple of hand soaps, 2 foaming, and 2 deep cleansing. All of them are long gone by now because I’ve used them up. The foaming hand soaps got used up pretty quickly because I use 2 pumps and the scent Cucumber Melon was pretty good. Again, I picked up 2 Winter Candy Apple (foaming, and deep cleansing) hand soaps because of what people said about them on youtube but unfortunately both of them smell awful to me, like rotting fruit. The deep cleansing hand soap in Caribbean Escape had the worst scent out of all. These retail for KD1/500 each so with the sale, I’m thinking 750 fils each. They look so pretty in the sunlight, I almost wanna drink them!

Back Camera

Bath and Body Works Shower Gels are quickly becoming my favorites so I got 2 in the full size this time (18 fl oz) in Vanilla Bean Noel (which leaked everywhere in the bag) and Cucumber Melon. Since I have so many shower gels (I like using different ones depending on my mood so I have a billion shower gels to go through first) I still haven’t gotten around to using either one of these 2, but they smell really really good! I got them on sale for KD1/750 each. I like the packaging on Cucumber Melon.

Back Camera

I’ve never tried the Shea Cashmere Hand Creams before but my friends sing them praises all the time so since these were on sale I picked up Twilight Woods (my favorite scent in any form), Warm Vanilla Sugar (the vanilla was very subtle which was disappointing), and Secret Wonderland (I only picked this up because of the cute name but this was a sleeper hit to me! It smells really really really good!). Normally, these cost KD3/500 but on sale they were KD1/500 each.

Back Camera

I had to get some more wallflower refills in these yummy scents, Pineapple Orchid, Island Margarita, and Island Colada. Although each scent is different, they all have the ability to make an entire average sized room smell like sweet fruity deliciousness! The pictures on the packaging are a safe bet to go by.

Back Camera

These retail for KD3/500 but I got them for KD1/750 each.

Back Camera

I found a Pomegranate Lemonade wallflower refill which wasn’t on sale but I couldn’t ignore it because the scent and the pink liquid looked so cute but sadly it wasn’t as fragrant as I thought it would be.

Back Camera

I also wanted to try the Odor Eliminating Moisturizing Hand Lotion in the scent Fresh Cut Lemon which wasn’t on sale, either. I thought this would be perfect to use when my husband and I have had Kebabs or Fish or Moroccan Food for lunch because certain types of food are meant to be eaten with your bare hands, no cooking utensils whatsoever and the scent does tend to linger (I know, gross).

Back Camera

He’s also a smoker and I hate the smell of cigarettes on his hands so this is great for that too. Also I recommend you get this if you are are full-time chef or dabble in the art of cooking. Only thing is, I would choose a different scent than this one because this smells like straight up tangerines (which is like fixing one problem with another problem) or maybe it’s because this product does not want to finish and I’ve gotten so bored of the scent that I’ve started to resent it (c’mon, don’t deny it, it happens to you too).

Back Camera

Next up, I picked up a full sized Fragrance Mist in the scent White Citrus and not to sound like a rabid fangirl but ermahgerd this smells divine! This reminds me of a cross between my favorite perfume of all time Dolce and Gabanna Light Blue and Chanel Allure Sport (homme er… for men) I can’t quite place it but I do detect that uplifting lemon scent I’m so fond of.

Back Camera

It was KD4/000 and on sale the price went down to KD2/800 which is pretty good for 286 ml (8 fl oz).

Back Camera

I don’t even know what a Scent Bug is but this just looked so festive, I just had to buy it. Thankfully, it came with instructions.

Back Camera

See where is says Scent Bug? Just apply some pressure to that area (push/click it).

Back Camera

And out pops a secret (okay fine, not really a secret) compartment that has these little pads. You place a few drops of scented oil on the pads and push the the compartment back in place so it’s hidden again.

Back Camera

Then press the little button at the back and whatever scent your oil had will waft through all those little holes and fill up the room (or at least an area of the room).

Back Camera

This is what the bottom looks like. Twist it to the side.

Back Camera

And you get another compartment for the batteries and some extra pads!

Back Camera

This cutie was originally KD4/000 but I got it on sale for KD2/000.

Back Camera

On the opposite end of the season spectrum, I got a Tahiti, Sweetie Body Lotion just because it listed Monoi Oil in the ingredients.

Back Camera

This full-sized baby was KD5/500 originally which was reduced to KD2/750 on sale.

Back Camera

I wanted to try out a couple more products from the True Blue Spa Line even though they weren’t on sale so I picked up a full sized Spa-Strength Callus Treatment (TMI Time!) because I love back-breaking high heeled shoes (Y u no luv me, shoes?) which come with a hefty price Calluses (I’ve got 3 legit calluses one each foot) but it’s such a hassle to apply foot lotion that I generally neglect my feet so I can’t really tell you if this works or not. I also picked up 2 travel sized babies, a smoothing foot scrub (because it has walnut shells, take that calluses!) and a super-softening hand lotion (because it has paraffin, and it’s pink, mostly because it’s pink).

Back Camera

I also got 2 travel size body lotions in the scents Coconut Lime Verbena (verbena, smells so good, aaagh!) and from the Signature Vanillas Line I got Apricot which must have turned bad because it smells awful!

Back Camera

I just had to pick at least 1 PocketBac because… well just because and since I’m a Sagitarius… umm… yeah.

That’s all folks!
