This is my first time buying Lush products in Kuwait but it’s certainly not going to be the last!
Breath Of Fresh Air
Softening toner to soothe and revitalize the skin. Breath of Fresh Air is one of our seaside products inspired by the Dorset beach coastline. You don’t have to live by the sea to appreciate it, all you have to do is get up in the morning! Sea water is full of mineral salts. So are human beings. Perhaps this is why rehydrating and re-mineralizing your skin with sea and spring water feels so refreshing. Breath of Fresh Air makes your skin feel extra fresh and healthy because we add soothing aloe vera gel, rejuvenating rosemary and calming rose absolute. Use it after cleansing, or refresh yourself at any time of day.
In this case, Lush really did hit the nail on the head with the name, because “Breath Of Fresh Air” is unbelievably refreshing! I like to spritz this stuff on when it’s really hot outside and I’m stuck in traffic, because it’s sooo refreshing! I also spritz a little on when I’m at work. This stuff is amazing! I can totally see myself using this in the future for a quick pick me up, while I’m on my way to the chalet. It’s especially ideal for use in Kuwait because our skin is subjected to all kinds of harsh weather outdoors (Hello! Desert country!), and equally drying weather indoors from all the air conditioning, which strips our skin of it’s moisture. I like the fact that Lush Skin Toners do not contain alcohol (which can be drying for the skin). It sort of has a powder-y scent, that reminds me of Nivea (the one that came in the classic blue tin packaging). It just smells so clean, if that makes any sense. A friend said that it smells like “Old Spice Aftershave” so I guess it registers differently with everyone. I don’t know about you guys, but I like it. “Breath of Fresh Air” comes in two sizes, a generous 250g or a more portable 100g. Did I mention that it’s refreshing? ;)
Honey I Washed The Kids
The irresistible toffee and honey soap. Once you’ve sniffed it, you’ve got to have it. On paper, it’s difficult to portray the full effect of this honeycomb and toffee scented soap. People who fully intended to walk past a Lush shop find themselves unable to resist its tempting fragrance. They inhale, drool, pick up a big chunk and join the queue for the till. It’s hard not to buzz about this one.
What they said. No, really. What they said. I was at the Beauty Expo and walked right by the Lush booth without even realizing it but then I sniffed this scent and followed it to their booth. In case you are wondering, I do not have a sharp sense of smell. It’s just that the scent was so sweet that I really couldn’t resist tracing it to the source, so I could buy whatever it was that smelled so good! Thankfully, it was a useful bar of soap as opposed to yet another useless candle (I have a thing for candles).
“Honey I Washed The Kids” soap includes beeswax in it’s ingredients, and has an oh-so-cute honeycomb on top!
The mind-clearing lemon one. Bohemian soap is one of our simplest and most beautiful creations; we make it for those with a creative streak to help them to realise their masterworks. Do you work late into the night, then forget to get up in the morning and miss your deadlines? The lemon oil in Bohemian serves many purposes. It clears and refreshes the mind to invigorate you. It is cleansing and toning for the skin, so it really will keep artistic types clean, even if you can’t afford a hot bath very often.
“Bohemian” soap is perfection! Everything, from the wonderful scent of lemons, to the appealing light yellow color of the bar of soap, to the romantic name, makes this an A++ (yes, I meant to add the extra plus) in my book. I just can’t get enough of this! I wish they’d make an entire line (shampoo, shower gel, toner, etc…) out of it because it’s just that good! Love it!
I am very pleased with my purchase from Lush, I just wish they had “CoalFace” and “Dark Angels”. Anyway, I totally recommend all three products to all the guys and girls in Kuwait. They look great, and they smell great, and they work great! Check them out, people!
